  1. Hot breakfast is available via room service in all classes, including inside cabins. Higher cabin and suite levels have a larger and more upgraded menu but all have hot breakfast items…eggs, pancakes.
  2. Best inside cabins on ANY ship are: as far midship as possible but not right by elevators, don’t have a connecting door to an adjacent cabin, not adjacent to cabins with bunks for 4 passengers total, and not adjacent to crew service areas. Lower decks are best to minimize movement and avoid cabins directly under pool decks or buffet.
  3. Don’t think twice about it. We did this exact selling on the same dates in 2016 on solstice. One of the best trips we’ve ever taken, and met the nicest people on the ship
  4. That’s exactly what I’d do. I wear a lot of thin dry clean only thin sweaters and just wear fresh t shirts underneath. And as long as weather isn’t too warm I will rewear pants and shorts a couple times. So I can rewear a lot of what I pack. Laundry for all underwear socks and tshirts and polos half way in keeps total packing lighter.
  5. Waste of money unless you can get it for very little extra over veranda. Who cares about 1 seated lunch on embarkation day? No need to eat at the hectic buffet. Go to sushi/raw on 5 or the burger grill by the pool. The only other benefit is (maybe) getting off the ship a few minutes earlier on port days. And if you’re doing a celebrity excursion even that’d irrelevant as everyone on your excursion will leave at the same time.
  6. What was your bid for each of these? We are on Summit for Canada/New England on 10/3.
  7. Sounds like experiences run the gamut. Again, I can’t choose my cabin. The cruise is sold out. This is for MoveUp.
  8. I’m pretty certain the Classic package should cover any non alcoholic beverages you’d want. From bottled water to coffees to virgin piña coladas.
  9. I will be on Summit October 3. I was on the fence about whether to book my apex sailing now or wait. My travel agent said to just wait because they often have better onboard credit office when you visit the future cruise desk. I was going to but didn’t wanna miss out on the state rim of my choice so I went ahead and booked with my TA. 7 night cruise and got $200:each of OBC. That beats the promotion on board now.
  10. Absolutely! The buffet is open, spa café is open, and mast grill outside for burgers. But since you were willing to pay, I will share my secret. Go to sushi on five (raw on 5). Much less hectic on embarkation day then getting through the busy buffet crowd. Best part, the food is outstanding and not overly priced.
  11. Looking for feedback specifically from those who have stayed in aqua class on an M class ship… I have a move up bid out there but now I am second guessing. I have read so many reviews of noise from being under the pool or the buffet. Of course with MoveUp you have no choice about which cabin you get. I’m curious if the noise issues are just posted by overly sensitive people, or if there truly is disruption. And we are currently in an inside cabin so I have bids on all other non suite cabins. I would be willing to spend a good bit more for aqua because it is a 12 night cruise and having access to Blu would help mix it up more. At the same time, I don’t want to be unhappy in a terribly noisy room. Am I overthinking this? I am not horribly sensitive, but if the noise is bad… That doesn’t sound relaxing
  12. If you are booking spa services do you get any short term access before or after your treatment?.
  13. Interesting. For sure, in the US, LGBTQ+ does not imply activism. Rather, just a population of individuals who are still facing discrimination, especially in rural places and conservative leaning communities. Especially so since emboldened by DT. An exception to this is with religious fundamentalists who see LGBTQ as having an “agenda” of recruiting others and other nonsense , simply because we wish to live life without being treated differently. As for FOD…agreed with the posts here. Increasingly our people don’t even know what it means, thankfully.
  14. Ahhhh got it! I had read that they were sea pass cards in envelopes on the cabin doors.
  15. I think part of the confusion is you were inferring that the reservations had to be made for all nights at the same dining time. You could book a 6 o’clock reservation on night 2, a 8:00 for night 3, no reservation for night 5, and so forth. People make these reservations for reasons mentioned. For me, mostly it’s about there’s a show I want to see, and I'd want to be sure I can get in and out either before or after the show without being unable to get a table in time. That’s especially important these days because all ships are a bit understaffed and meal service can be slower than it was before the pandemic. Personally, I have never booked any reservations for the main dining room previously using select. But I probably will do so on my upcoming cruise in order to avoid missing theater times.
  16. What was your bid that was accepted and for how many nights? Which other classes did you bid on?
  17. I already checked for a sailing on 10/3. If one of my bids is accepted, do my Xpress passes automatically update with the new cabin number? What about e- docs in terms of getting updated luggage tags with the new cabin number?
  18. At the time, 46. There weren’t really any teens on our sailing. It’s odd to me that they would limit quasar to teens when there’s a huge bar in there. Maybe they changed the purpose of Quasar since I was last on solstice which was 2016. We were on equinox in 2019, and it was the same way. An adult bar.
  19. Totally agree. I was just pointing out this other piece because I have seen comments on this topic in other posts saying “they can’t do that…ADA violation…blah blah.”
  20. Is this allowed? Or would they be confiscated to ensure passengers report symptoms?
  21. Most cruise ships are flagged under the country Malta or other similar country that enables them to be very independent regarding onboard policies, including this one. Because it is not an American ship, the laws in any state of the US are irrelevant.
