Was wondering if anyone was following Isaac. I was wondering how far behind Florence he is. And it says going to the eastern Caribbean. I’m supposed to be doing the eastern itinerary starting September 16.
Me too... As long as we can get to the Port I'm OK with going somewhere else to get out of the way. :D

Allure 9/16/2018 is now $45. I bought at $42 but some in our party didn't.

Wrong. The letter MUST be signed before a notary (or UK equivalent). Otherwise, there is no proof that the father actually signed it. The only instance where a “paper trail” would be helpful would be if the mother had sole legal custody and a court order stating that. Since the father signed similar letters in the past, I’m guessing that’s not the case.
Read the form.

I think your TA has told you wrong. If the child was being taken abroad by someone other than a parent or legal guardian then the form would be needed, but since she is the parent, all she needs is a paper trail to connect her with the child, since her name is now different. https://help.royalcaribbean.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/115000746691-What-if-I-m-travelling-with-a-minor-and-I-m-not-the-parent-or-legal-guardian-

I don't understand your "OMG". What are you exclaiming about here?Well, trying to find the way to select my 'amenity' on their **** website. Chasing my tail around in a circle;finding out there was no way. Making a phone call. Wasting half an hour of my life.
All that effort for one can of Sprite?:):o:D:D
-
I had forgotten about the Welcome aboard amenity, so went to the website, and.........
It says I can select by going to rccl.com/upgradepreferences. Nope, you just go around in a circle. Call C&A and tell her I am trying to select but am unable to find a link. She says "Oh, you can't do that online". I tell her their website says I can. She says they are "upgrading that feature" so I can't access it at present. Oh well. I finally ask " what is my welcome aboard amenity anyway"? Answer- One sprite/coke/water. O.M.G.

When do you sail? 17th of when?

Holiday Inn , port of Miami. It overlooks the port and is directly opposite the Bayside marketplace, which is a great place to spend a pre cruise evening. Lots of shops and restaurants, live music, set around a marina. https://www.baysidemarketplace.com

When does Allure dock in Miami?
-
We're booked at the same time but we will do the self assist. Fingers crossed...:D
-
We're all these cancellations for the same cruise?

What a fun live review. Glad you all are enjoying it.
Three weeks from today, it is our turn!
Me too! :D:D

We have made it to our hotel. Other than a renegade taxi driver that took us on a small extra tour that wasn’t needed, all was good. Had he drove the normal route and didn’t BS us he would have gotten more.
The icing, he had the audacity to complain about Uber and Lyft. My advice, don’t ever go in a taxi that isn’t the typical 888-8888 or 777-7777. This was a labeled van that we got at the taxi stand, however we didn’t see his license visual or posted, but it had a meter and posted rates.
We have cruised out of FLL 30 times and the only 2 times we have had issues were these type of van driver. Once at FLL and the other time disembarking from Oasis. Like used car salesmen. Stepping off my soap box now.
We just heard a ship blow it’s horn. I’m distracted like a puppy dog.
Hyatt Place has a free airport shuttle ........

Have they done away with the computers you could just use by the minute for checking your email, printing boarding passes etc?
-
We always give perfect 10’s, never complain and usually give a glowing written out review to the crew member we liked the least. It’s our little way of sticking it to the man!
Have a nice cruise!
Me too. These poor people have the job from hell and deserve so much more than they are given.

Ok, but she still had to be an excellent swimmer, or held on to a board, or treaded water for 10 hours. She had to take some action to stay alive, so maybe not suicidal, maybe not drunk......
They say the trick is to float, not tread water or swim.

My only concern would be getting a taxi there & not being able to get back & no taxis ! But from what I'm reading there appears to be loads of taxis going from the port to Maho & back again all day.
Scared of missing the ship lol so that's why I'd thought about the ship excursion !
Thanks for all the replies folks, Lorna 😊
Last time we went the taxi driver said he would just wait for us. I told him no, that's OK, we'd be a couple of hours, but he asked again. l asked was he going to charge me for waiting. He said no, and he didn't. We just took the usual photos of planes, had lunch and headed back. The beach itself is not that great, steep and the sand blows everywhere when the planes come over, but it's a fun day.,

We took the water taxi from the pier, over to town, wandered around the shops then got a taxi to Maho beach $20, takes about 20minutes. Lunch and drinks at the Sunset Bar and grill.:D

Here is my experience with RCI today. Somehow I missed the emails for final payment and noticed the cancellation email. Called corporate and spoke with Jell, who by policy will not provide her last name:mad:. I explain how the email was sent on a Saturday and that I get hundreds of emails a day that it is easy to miss an email. Was ridicule for being an adult and should be responsible for reading the emails.
The Bottom line, according to Jill and "policy" they can not re-instate your reservation. I am left with rebooking at the prevailing rate if I want to keep my deposit.
Have booked many cruises before and they just take the final payment off the original CC.
Lesson learned.
1. Cross RCI off my list due to bad cruise relations
2. Never go direct. Let the TA take care of it
3. Never sail with RCI again. go with NCL:mad::mad:
NCL does exactly the same. My relatives thought final payment date was one day later than it actually was. Poof went their deposit and their reservation. They called and pleaded the next day but they would not relent.

emdia43....you have obviously never tried using their service. You can go on the Air2Sea site and search just like you would if you went to any other provider. They will show you all flights meeting the criteria that you enter showing you the cost for each. They show 1st class, coach, and enhanced coach prices and the different airlines that meet your time and destination requested. I don't know why you wouldn't check them every time. Doesn't cost you a penny and may be able to save you a lot of money that you can then spend on the ship. Especially international flights!
OK thanks, I didn't know that..
-
Why would you let them book for you- you won't know the itinerary until after you book. I'm not willing to let someone else plan my travel without knowing the details of carrier/flights before I buy.....
-
OK if they were booked on VOS on 5th January then the website reflects that change of ports - but Enchantment is still scheduled for CocoCay the same day they were - Jan 8th. What was the initial reason given for the change of ports?
-
Are they still selling the cruise with Coco Cay on the itinerary?

Have a look at the Brilliance of the Seas British Isles cruise thread, by Hoopster95 on the Royal Caribbean board.....:)
