  1. I’m curious to hear if this is a frequent occurrence... I filed for a refund once the most recent wave of cancellations were announced and shocked to see the refund already hit my credit card; however, it’s been these weird incremental credits. I’ve paid $1400 for my cruise and had three credits over the weekend totaling $1000 USD. The charges stopped yesterday. Has this happened to anyone else when receiving a credit back? Should I wait the 30-45 days they gave me to see if the credit the other $400 back?
  2. Glad to see the extension and I was able to submit my refund request. It’s disappointing. I was extremely excited about trying Celebrity and exploring the Apex and visiting Europe for the first time. It will just have to wait.
  3. Hopefully they announce today. As long as they announce within a week of my June 20 sailing I’m happy. Would like to use the refund towards a beach rental this year. I’ll wait and see.
  4. I have my eye on this ship for 2022. Norway, Scotland, and Iceland!!!! My dream trip besides seeing Antarctica. Or I’m torn between the Iceland/Greenland cruise.
  5. I thought they might have mentioned today that they will not be sailing June. I think my cruise is 33 days away currently. Probably should start swimming across the Atlantic now to make it to Barcelona in time.
  6. I have a June 20 Apex sailing and I am beginning to wonder when they are going to extend their no sail dates. I already received my airfare refund from American since they changed my flight from Philadelphia to Chicago instead of Barcelona. Lol.
  7. We are thinking a land vacation next year and have our eyes on a NCL Norway, Scotland, Iceland cruise for 2022
  8. I’m not a world traveler, but from what I’ve been to... Skagway or Ketchikan and Bermuda as well.
  9. why didn’t you just wait until you got an email? You asked them to cancel your cruise without verification you were get your money back? I know our June 20 cruise will be canceled and plan on getting my money back, but seems obvious to wait for them to “officially” give the options. In worst case, I have a future cruise already paid for.
  10. I will go with Celebrity most likely. We have a Mediterranean cruise booked with them on their new Apex ship for next month, but are just waiting for them to cancel. It’s so sad to read about NCL’s hardship. The last three cruises I’ve done have been on NCL and I really wanted to sail on Celebrity to see how they were and loved their new Edge class ships, so thought we would try them out.
  11. For a few minutes it was tempting to just hold onto our European sailing and just take it next year with the new incentive they are offering, but we will just take our money back since the future is very uncertain. I’d rather not be locked in, considering we don’t know if there will be a vaccine. We will take our money and most likely get a beach house within driving distance,
  12. I’m hoping they cancel so I can get my money back, but if not, I will gladly take a FCC.
  13. completely agree. Especially after the failed tests and just their inconsistent messaging. We are the last country the rest of the world should use as a guideline on when to start cruising again.
  14. Yea, I realize that. Didn’t think it would be taken literally as it was just a suggestion.
  15. Thank you so much for this! Words can’t describe those pictures. Since cruising may be out for a while, Iceland may be my next vacation when travel is allowed.
  16. I could see the ships located in Florida sailing to their own private islands and that’s about it. If they did sailings to nowhere, I would definitely go to explore the Apex...since there’s no way I see our June 20 sailing happening.
  17. Slot machines will not be jammed together, table games will not hold as many. Fewer equipment in the gym. empty seat between each guest in theater. i don’t even see cruising being enjoyable until a vaccine comes out.
  18. You on the June 20th sailing? We are just waiting for that to cancel to get our money back. I don’t plan on cruising this year or next.
  19. Our sailing on June 20 is scheduled to be the first one on the Apex. I’m certain they will cancel into July come next month.
  20. We are scheduled for June 20 out of Barcelona and now American Airlines has us flying from Philadelphia to Chicago instead of Barcelona 😂😂😂. I’m certain celebrity is going to extend their cancellation dates.
  21. I’m sure the rest of the cruise lines will be canceling June sailings soon.
  22. June cruise on the Apex that is probably getting canceled.
  23. According to today’s episode of cruise radio podcast, NCL On March 31 until at least June is reducing all shoreside employees to a 4 day workweek and a 20% pay cut, and also looking to temporarily discontinue the employer 401k match, and are borrowing 1.55B from revolving creditors. I’ve lost a significant amount of respect for this company. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but it’s a business.
  24. I am still not too hopeful for a Mediterranean sailing season in June, but we shall see.
