  1. I would, but in a warm climate where I can enjoy the outdoor spaces more. Looking forward to Aqua.
  2. Thank you so much for this review. Appreciate the details I have always wondered about VV. . As someone loyal to NCL, I have been thinking about Virgin Voyages and Celebrity.
  3. I just got the flyer as a travel partner with NCL. Says bookings will open the 15th and include 11 and 12 night sailings to the eastern Caribbean and 4 and 5 day sailings to the Bahamas.
  4. https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2024/01/jacksonville-reportedly-set-for-second-cruise-line/ I would have no desire going anywhere near Jacksonville, but looks like it appears NCL is the company eager to sail out of there.
  5. I haven't used another cruise line in about 15 years, but I keep saying I want to try the edge class ships on Celebrity. Once I use my four cruise next vouchers with NCL, I do plan to try Celebrity.
  6. If I read correctly, it's like old school tipping with the envelopes handed to cast members?
  7. So, does that mean the dry dock for the Joy is done? Guess they thought they'd be bored without the galaxy pavilion.
  8. A little behind, but yes, Los Lobos impressed us as well. We just went there to use our last FAS meal and it was the best meal we had on the prima.
  9. We had an overnight in Akureyri. It was very nice. We got to do our originally scheduled tour and the next day checked out the botanical gardens.
  10. Geiranger and Alesund was my favorite. on my sailing this past summer, my favorite port was Geiranger. I would take Norway over Iceland, but both are beautiful. Only got to do Reykjavik and Akureyri.
  11. Just ask not to have a gym over the thermal spa. Weights dropping isn’t as relaxing as I thought it would be.
  12. That's a bummer. We stayed a few nights before our cruise left and this was an 11 hour excursion. We got to see lots of falls, a volcanic crater, and the blue lagoon
  13. I would recommend a golden circle excursion if time allows. Not sure what your port times are for Reykjavik.
  14. I went in the middle of August. No snow or northern lights. But we did see snow in Norway in Geiranger on top of the mountains
  15. I also vote for Iceland/ Norway. We did the Prima sailing this summer. Iceland was stunning. We arrived two days before. It's a beautiful country. Norway was definitely the highlight of the trip. It's comparable to the beauty of Alaska, but on much grander level. We also stopped in Amsterdam and Bruges. Highly recommend. There's also Greece. We are looking at a Mediterranean cruise for '25.
  16. I’ve actually wanted to really try an Edge class ship, but I’ve enjoyed every NCL sailing so far and just not ready to leave yet. I am reluctantly sailing Disney this year for my mother. agree with previous poster that the prima class has the best cabins. Good luck. Where are you looking to sail?
  17. it was a highlight meal for me too. We also selected Los Lobos and all of us were surprised at how much we enjoyed it. One of the best meals of our trip. I wish we had been on the prima in a warm climate so we could have enjoyed the outdoor areas more.
  18. Appreciate your review and welcome aboard! I would encourage you to give cruising another shot. You may not for your next getaway, but at least in the near future. Some of the newer ships within the past decade have lots of onboard activities to keep you occupied. I have done Caribbean sailings, but would take almost anywhere else over the Caribbean. Bermuda is wonderful, New England, and Alaska for destinations that sail from the US. Glad you gave it a shot in the first place.
  19. we were definitely able to select our own seats. We always choose the fire exit row for the extra leg room. There was an extra charge, but for an international flight, it was a necessity for me.
  20. I would never do a sailing without purchasing a pass. If you are on one of the away class ships, it is definitely worth it. The views in Alaska while sitting on the tile loungers is priceless. We sailed the bliss in Alaska and it is worth every penny.
  21. I used the BOGO air for the first time and was concerned with it being an international flight, but had quite a positive experience. There were some hiccups with a weather delay for a connection, but had plenty of time and actually worked in our favor. I would use again, but only if using the 2 day deviation to allow for delays.
  22. I did the 6 hour train ride up into the Yukon in 2019, with the van ride back. It was the best excursion I have ever done.
