  1. We were on the March 4th and March 16th cruise. Our 2nd cruise was cancelled. We are Elite and were booked in a lowly inside with cabin assignments. We got a really sweet AI deal on both cruises when we booked on the Apex February 2022. Which is probably why they cancelled us. It was too good to be true. I would have been thrilled if they also cancelled the 1st cruise and we could lift and shift both. But they refused to make our lives easier and so we were stuck with just one cruise. Our agent went to bat for us and got nowhere. I called Celebrity today (hold time - 35 minutes) and they again would not budge. So, we took the money and ran. We have a cruise booked with a group of college buddies on the Equinox winter 2024 that I don't want to cancel and will get a reduction on that one. We kept the first cruise - we have a refundable deposit and do not have to pay until December. Who knows - they many wind up cancelling us between now and then. Looking at my options. Maybe HAL or Princess or a land tour. Or pushing it off again. Even though we are D+ on Royal, we were looking to do more Celebrity. At this point, I do know that I will probably not book Celebrity again for a while. Shame is that they did us so well on our ill-fated COVID Eclipse cruise around South America in March 2020. I talked them up and down. No longer.
  2. Me too. If they had asked for volunteers, they probably would have gotten a good number of folks. And no one would have been slighted. The way they just picked some folks and not others is totally unreasonable. And some got upgrades! And some are getting downgrades! Doesn't make much sense.
  3. We got off the Edge last month. We sailed the Apex last year at 50% full. It did feel much more crowded. Trying to get a seat at the Martini Bar was impossible and there were not too many of the other seats available either. And this was starting at 4:30 PM. We kind of had to time it between dinner seatings. The outdoor pool at times was wall to wall people. But we managed to find lounge chairs around. Maybe not in prime locations but we could find some.
  4. We are B2B on both the March 4th from Singapore to Tokyo and the March 16th Tokyo/Tokyo. So far I got an oversold email from my TA on just the March 16th cruise. We are in an inside cabin and we booked on board while we were on the Apex in February 2022. We got a really, really sweet deal on their AI. I think that is how they are determining who to cut. We got a deal too good to be true and we jumped on it. We were on a similar trip in 2021 on the Ovation which went the way of Covid. If they cancel both of my cruises - I will just lift and shift to 2025. But the fact that they just cancelled one of my cruises is problematic.
  5. I looked on both Cruise Mapper and What's in Port and could not find the Millennium listed anywhere for March of 2024. We are B2B - first and second cruise ends in Yokohama.
  6. I received letters pertaining to updates to our Cruise Ticket Contract for cruises after April 21, 2023. I have clicked on the links and no where do I see anything about alcoholic beverages policy. Mostly a lot of what Celebrity is not liable for.
  7. We were on a B2B Edge cruise in February and had gotten the schedule in the App beforehand. Was it the same? Nope. One off happened as one of the acts got sick and they flew in a replacement. That I can understand. But things were completely different.....
  8. We were on the Edge in February and I had signed up for the Go Green promotion. Steward still came in twice a day.
  9. Thanks for the responses. As mentioned - it's been a while since we used our Elite drink privilege and wasn't sure what was allowed - especially with all the changes since covid. I know what drinks are included in the menu. I am happy with a plain old vodka martini. It's not worth it for us to get a drink plan. DH will just have to pay up!
  10. Last few Celebrity cruises I have done AI. Next cruise we are not taking a drink plan, instead we are relying on our Elite status for happy hour. We have a lot of OBC on this cruise. And it has been quite a while since we have done Elite happy hour (at least 2018). DH is a hardcore single malt scotch drinker. Can he upgrade to a better scotch on the Elite plan for the difference in price? Or will he just need to pay full price for the better scotch?
  11. February 2022 we did a S2S2S. Went from the Allure to the Apex to the Odyssey. This was also when Covid testing was required 3 days prior. They took care of that on board. We were shuttled (complimentary) between each ship. A little chaotic with finding our shuttle but we made it. We arranged the shuttle service with the Diamond Concierge and the Elite Concierge. Don't know if being D+ and Elite makes a difference.
  12. I have to agree too! Just got off the Edge. Guiseppe was hilarious - Mama!! And we had Ale-handsome on our ill fated Covid Eclipse cruise around the horn in March 2020.
  13. Just off the Edge. Burgers were awful. We were just coming back from an excursion, close to closing time with the last of them on the grill and that may have been the reason they were tasteless. The hot dogs were just okay and the fries did not even compare to the ones at McD's. Sad - used to really like the Mast Grill.
  14. I just got this the other day and someone else also posted it on our roll call for the March 4th sailing.
  15. We got off the Edge earlier this month. Did a B2B and had a 3 night dining package each cruise. We did Fine Cuts once on each cruise. First night we had the tomahawk. Great presentation. A lot smaller than when we were on the Apex last year. Meat was not quite as tender as it should have been. Second night DH had the filet mignon and I had the ribeye. Both were sub-par. One good thing was that we were able to get Premium Beverage wines that we were not able to get any where else on the ship, which ticked me off to no end. I could have stuck to the Classic Beverage package, saved a ton of money and just upgraded my wine each time for an upcharge. We did Eden twice on each cruise and they were all wonderful.
  16. We sailed the Apex last February and loved Fine Cuts. The tomahawk was to die for. We sailed the Edge this month and was very disappointed with Fine Cuts. Tomahawk was much smaller and rather tough. I may not go back if booking an Edge class ship. Now Eden on the other hand was amazing. But I love the idea of a dinner and a show. We were seating right across from the prep area. The chefs were great to watch. Food was great. But yes - it is seafood forward.
  17. Our first balcony was on the Solstice - 9292. Spoiled us forever. Mid-ship, biggest balcony, rear facing. Some folks that don't like them say that is like being in a tunnel. I didn't think so.
  18. We also used Guided Tours Israel. We did two days in Jerusalem and one day in Haifa. Day one we did old Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Day two was Masada and the Dead Sea. Day three was Galilee. We had a smaller bus - 16 people plus driver and Israeli guide. Our guide muscled her way around road blocks and crowds to give us a better, but exhausting experience. We did spend at least an hour back and forth and traffic was a nightmare at times. You may want to consider staying overnight to avoid the back and forth. Overall - well worth it.
  19. Hopefully you would be able to secure some decent wine glasses and walk out of your cabin with them full of your wine.
  20. We had one on the Apex last year on the 8th deck a little further back. At the time they were much cheaper than the infinite veranda so we gave it a shot. Loved it! We had friends who had the infinite veranda so we had something to compare it to. They had some of the usual complaints - air went off when open, closed by captain during bad weather, privacy. It was nicer to be able to close the door on the porthole and be outside.
  21. Since you did the shows - do you recall what time they usually were? Trying to time dinner reservations. Thanks!
  22. We were just off the Edge. We had a drink package but we did run into folks that did not and were Elite. At the Martini bar they were served smaller versions of what is on the Elite menu - cosmo, martini, etc. The breakfast was served in Le Petit Chef - across the deck from Cafe Bacio. We went there a few times to escape the madness of the Oceanview and the slowness of the dining room.
  23. We just got back from PC/ABC and Eastern. We just had regular wifi and it was slooooow. Kept kicking us out of their app!! Facetime was a struggle. Uploading email was a struggle. Anywhere in the ship. We had an oceanview on the third deck. I heard folks who upgraded to Starlink complaining too.
