  1. My credit cards are all Canadian. Good that you have such faith in getting errors corrected. Maybe you can give advise to those still fighting with hal months later. While it might be easier to get those errors that occur on the ship corrected. It’s quite another story once you get off and you get mysterious charges, and yes it’s happened to me. I got charged with well over a hundred dollar for mini bar charges after I left. I didn’t touch a thing in the mini bar. I’m not sure why you feel that I don’t understand simple concepts that you need to explain things to me. I’ve got over 500 actual sailing days with hal. I know a thing or two.
  2. For my next cruise I think I had something close to $800, maybe more. I have HIA. There was a price reduction so that got rid of some of it. It's really nice to have a certain amount of OBC but I sometimes I just don't need to buy "stuff" to get rid of it. Plus then I get money back from the prebooking of specialty too as well.
  3. I always go to the closed side. Someone recently stated it was such a big deal for them to do that. I'm not the most agile person in the world and it's a small price to pay for less people. I'm all about that.
  4. Here is a screen print from my cruise I booked. The left one is "best price" and is non refundable. The right one is the early booking which states its refundable right at the top. cruise.pdf
  5. Where are you seeing it becomes non refundable after two weeks? I'm booked under this promo and I don't see anything on my confirmation to say that. Thanks.
  6. I'm not doubting you but I'm for sure doubting them. I was just on a cruise in April so if that's true its a quick change. The westerdam doesn't seem to have much. First it was because they weren't in north america. What's the excuse now?
  7. What? I use a credit card. Why would I want it to go on my credit card? Defeats the purpose and makes no sense. Why use a debit card? If there are last minute charges in error there goes the money out of your account good luck getting it back.
  8. I guess, if you can take it in cash. I’m not really interested in parting with extra cash ahead of time to save a couple bucks.
  9. I’ve had Perrier on every single cruise I’ve been on. They don’t have Pellegrino in small bottles on the ship that I’ve seen and who knows if it’s included in the beverage package since the large water aren’t.
  10. Its a good deal for sure unless you have a lot of obc to use up.
  11. They just raised it in February so I hope not.
  12. I was shocked when they charged my cabana in cdn for my last cruise. It gave me a better conversation than I could get.
  13. I'm thinking the person works in a bank. I could be 100% wrong on that.
  14. You should try a 7 day cruise at american thanksgiving. Plenty of "frantic mobs". I usually go at 11:30 to try to escape that. One day looking into the lido it was a sea of humanity.
  15. I would not book at wesjet flight for a cruise that close. Westjet used to be good but no more.
  16. Yes, sorry you are right. Usually they are $1 apart. Now $1.50. Still that makes the exchange $1.30. Still better than I can do. What is your secret? Thanks.
  17. I think the reason some get it is because they want more than 15 "drinks" a day. That wouldn't be me.
  18. I'm almost positive that the gratuities are $16.50 for non suite and $17.50 for suites. Yup, I just looked on my recent statement and they were $17.50 for my suite so they are $16.50. That makes the exchange $1.26. If you are getting that exchange somewhere please let me know.
  19. @Crew News I wonder if I could ask a big favour. Would you be able to get for the recipe for the vegetable tomato risotto from Canaletto? I absolutely love it and thought I could find a recipe online that would be like it. So far no luck. No worries if you can’t . Thanks so much. I’m glad you are getting some decent weather.
  20. I have gotten the hia on my last few cruises. I’ve never gotten gratuities. It’s a lot more isolated than that. I see it with the early booking bonus right now. I constantly check my price so if it was there I would have caught it.
  21. I would try. I think if you give them a few days notice they will try to accommodate. I never thought to ask before. I was glad she volunteered. It was yummy. I was glad to have its twin the next day for dessert.
