I’m pretty sure a few years back hal had in its verbiage that the expectation was that you stay “dressed” for the evening. Now it’s too much to ask to put on long pants to eat in the mdr or club orange.

I imagine they found other employment.

You are correct. That's exactly it and it is a bargain.

What proof do you have about that? I'd like to remind you that all people including Canadian's HAD to have a covid test to fly into the USA one day in advance of flying in which is a lot more than is being asked of travelers coming into Canada. People just took it in stride, unlike what I've seeing on cruise critic when the tables are slightly turned.

I’ve been in those cq cabins and they are lovely and large. I have not actually stayed in one. I think you’ll really enjoy it.

Not sure why you are quoting me for this. They’ve been doing once a day cleaning since the start up at least at the balcony level. How many times a day do you want bread pudding? It’s on the mdr menu for breakfast, so it’s available at least twice a day. There are much better desserts than this to me but I eat dessert once a day if that on a cruise. I’d be 400 lbs if I ate it at every meal.

The bread pudding is behind the counter by where they serve the ice cream. It would be a first if they didn’t have it.

I don’t think they ever had a no tipping policy. I think it was tipping not required and I’m sure this lead to a lot of confusion.

I don’t mind the auto tip because it hits the people that may miss out. I remember several years ago I was cruising with a couple. If I remember correctly the cruise was about 25 days. He thought $30 was good for the two of them for the dining staff. To me that is exceptionally cheap. I leave the auto tip in place and more likely than not I will tip the room stewards extra. I generally eat at specialty restaurants and I think 18 percent is adequate but I’ve been known to tip extra at times as well. Even when hal was tipping not required I still did.

I suffer from tip pressure from within even if service wasn’t great. In this case I think I’d be able to resist. I just don’t want anything more mandatory where I can’t make that decision.

Absolutely! For most cruises an antigen is more than fine. I don't think anyone would be so dumb to think if the cruise line asked for a PCR you can go with an antigen. You'd have to be pretty dense.

You might like it but I don't. 18% for handing my drink to me at the bar is more than enough. Tip more if you want to but don't force the issue on others.

I would go with the post above yours for the dates. No one is going to be able to give you absolute dates just a good guess. I think you could be setting yourself up for disappointment. There is really nothing formal about the dining room and the food is really nothing to special. The menus used to be very nice maybe 10 or 15 years ago. Not so much now.

I know I had it in March. The silly thing with the bar code only came up about 2 days before. Prior to that it was the preliminary. I was beginning to think they weren’t going to let me on 😛.

I think you’ll be good. I like that cruise itinerary even though it’s a bit chilly. I thought about booking it but it was quite pricy at that time. It’s my favourite ship so have a wonderful time.

I was given one every time on my cruises in March. A few times I told them I’d use my phone.

You could contact hal. I’m sure they would send you a link. Mine as pretty fast to show as well but one time I had to contact my pcc as my survey was missing.

That information used to be on there as soon as the boarding pass was available. I wonder if they are no longer including that information. Maybe people were getting upset if it was wrong. Thanks for the information. I agree that there will be 3.
