  1. Last year we stayed at White Bay Villas. It was gorgeous and we’d definitely stay there again. The walk down the hill/mountain to the beach was a bit much for my 76 yr old mother, though. This year we’re staying at Hendo’s. JVD is my favorite place on earth. Everyone there is so nice and just genuinely good. Another option is the Sandcastle at Soggy Dollar, if everyone in your party is 25 or older. The Glass House is gorgeous if you have a large group. Please feel free to ask me anything. I LOVE talking about JVD!
  2. Sunfari does Jeep tours and will likely do 2 people. They will take you wherever you want. We’ve used them twice and they are wonderful!
  3. Completely agree! We’ve cruised NCL for years and Escape to JVD on Rebel Yell was definitely hands down the best. Since then we’ve stayed on JVD for a week last year and will do 10 days in June!
  4. I found Sapphire to be extremely rocky, and I’m not tender footed. It was also extremely rough when we were there. Love Magen’s and Secret Harbour.
  5. Their max is 12 people and they have a 6 hr for around $200.
  6. Extremely unlikely that you’ll find a private charter with a reputable company for that price. Stormy Pirates is great. Their cheapest is $540 for 4 hrs.
  7. There’s only 1 all inclusive resort on St Thomas, period. And it’s not like Sandals or Beaches or anything like that. Go to Magens or Secret Harbour.
  8. Very excited! The port is approx 30 minutes from my house, so that’ll be convenient!
  9. November 2025. Finally, we get something besides crappy, old Carnival ships!
  10. Hey, Painkillers for breakfast are totally acceptable-they have OJ! I washed down my breakfast burrito from Soggy Dollar with 1…2…ok 2 Painkillers and a Mango Madness! 😜
  11. Taxi back would definitely be a challenge. When we were there, we were the only people at the beach.
  12. It depends upon the ship options and available room types. I’ve never been on the Getaway, but probably that one in a Haven aft, due to the open air courtyard and the large balcony.
  13. Siva is an angel! He took such good care of us last year (my daughter has celiac), including visiting us at our specialty restaurants when we weren’t eating in the Haven. He has spoiled us for all others!
  14. It’s likely not a ferry. I know Rebel Yell does Escape to Jost Van Dyke.
  15. The Garden Villa is a room, not a public area.
  16. Meaning you can use the loungers at Hendo’s if you purchase food or drink from them. There are different loungers for The Hideout guests a little further down. You’re fine to use the orange ones.
  17. Tampa was a cluster when we embarked there. Love Port Canaveral.
  18. If you can find a boat trip to take you to the Indians for snorkeling, do it! You will love it. Then stop by the Willy T for lunch and jumping off the deck.
  19. Sunfari does tours of both, but I’d start with St Thomas.
  20. You are free to use the beach lounges at whatever bar you purchase from (Soggy, Hendo’s, Gertrude’s). It’s a great excursion.
  21. Why would you expect any sort of compensation? If you came down with it on the first full day, you clearly brought it on the ship with you. Not NCLs fault in any way.
  22. I think I know the answer, but I’ll ask anyway…we are before final payment and have to change our cruise date. I know I have to pay a change fee. But I also go some great deals on packages and an excursion on Black Friday. Do I lose those and have to rebook them at the new, non-awesome prices for the new dates? 😢
  23. If you’re docking at Havensight, I highly recommend Smoking Rooster or Tap & Still.
