  1. Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Interesting days but not a fan of black cats. Oscar Levant was a very funny person but was conflicted and the quote probably has some truth to it. The meal is something I would probably like. When I was stationed in Nha Trang Vietnam, the Air Force was asking for volunteers to transfer to Da Nang which at the time was known as Dodge City, I took a pass on volunteering. Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day.
  2. We sail mostly with HAL, Celebrity and Princess and IMHO all 3 lines have great ships but bottom line we prefer the smaller Vista and Signature Class ships of HAL and Celebrity's Infinity and Equinox.
  3. Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Since Ian we have had absolutely gorgeous weather, forecast is for more of the same with highs in the mid 80s with low humidity and no rain. Interesting days. Hard to argue with anything Albert Einstein had to say. I like Tacos but I'm not sure about Thai Tacos, though they have nice ring to them. 17 years ago tonight, my White Sox won the World Series, I've been a Sox fan since 1952, that's 70 years with 1 World Series Championship for me, it's tough being a White Sox fan. Off to the course in a few minutes. Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day.
  4. Great photos, we would love to visit the Holy Lands but unfortunately it's a scary part of the world and of course we refuse to fly anymore so that's that.
  5. Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. I won't be howling at the moon tonight and not sure what Punk day is but I do like the quote. We had the new AC unit installed yesterday so everything is back to normal in our household. Most of the remnants of Ian have been removed from the streets in our area but we took a drive the other day and there's a nice manufactured home community with a great executive golf course about a mile from us and that place took a beating, mounds and mounds of destruction piled up on just about every inch of the perimeter of the community, what a mess. Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day.
  6. Our next cruise is December 4th on the Nieuw Amsterdam, we love that ship and her sisters like the Eurodam, perfect size with the traditional promenade deck.
  7. Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. My mother in law was very nice but I have no use for moles and quite a few talk show hosts. Quesadillas are pretty good. Looks like we're going to have a Houston-Philadelphia World Series. This year's playoffs have proved that anything can happen in a short series as very good teams like the Dodgers, Mets, Braves and Cardinals were knocked out in the early rounds. Thanks for The Daily, everyone stay well and have a great day.
  8. Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Good selection of days. Honest Abe with a good quote. I would like the meal. We sort of lucked out as we have had cool weather and didn't need the AC, today is going to sneak in the low 80s and Sunday in the mid 80s so we might suffer a little bit tomorrow, new AC will be installed Monday. Thanks for The Daily, everyone stay well and have a great day.
  9. Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Funny quote. Not sure what the meal is. Off to the course in a few minutes, will be happy when we change the clocks in 2 weeks as right now we are warming up on the range in the dark. Thanks for The Daily, everyone stay well and have a great day.
  10. Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. Funny quote from a funny guy. We had a rude awakening day yesterday with temperatures in the mid 50s and low 60s, when you're accustomed to high 80s and low 90s it was tough as a cold front moved in. 70s today and tomorrow and back to the mid 80s for the next week and hopefully beyond. As cold and windy as it was I managed to shoot my age right on the number with a 76. So we had the AC guy out yesterday and will have a new unit on Monday, as I suspected the old unit was working 3 times as hard to cool off the condo thus the high electric bill. Thanks for The Daily, everyone stay well and have a great day.
  11. Too much Trivia also, cheap way to entertain the passengers with even cheaper prizes.
  12. Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. My wife just made a nice meatloaf yesterday, how fitting. Meatloaf sandwiches coming up on later in the week. We had the new water heater installed yesterday which was 1,400 dollars. Florida Power and Light insists that our high electric bill is due to a bum AC unit so we have someone coming out today to check the unit, regardless we needed the new water heater. New AC unit is probably going to run 4,500 dollars but the unit is 16 years old so I guess it's time. At least I was able to beat my age on the golf course yesterday by 2 shots with a smooth 74, didn't win any money as my partners all had bad rounds, was able to have 1 closest to the pin which was worth 5 dollars, I need some more winnings to pay for the new AC unit, LOL. Thanks for The Daily, stay well and have a great day.
  13. We have sailed on the Caribbean Princess 10 times since 2006 and it's in great shape. We just disembarked the 21 year old Celebrity Infinity and the ship was as nice as can be, we would not hesitate to book and older ship.
  14. Good morning from beautiful Southwest Florida. The area is still a mess following Ian but slowly but surely things one day will be back to normal. It looks like our hot water heater was fried during Ian as our water isn't quite hot and I received an electric bill twice what is normal for us as It must be running constantly, next month's bill is estimated to be 3 times our normal, we have a call to one of the water heater emergency companies but no luck in returning our call, I just unplugged it to save on the electric bill with next month estimate to be 349 dollars, ouch. One thing, Florida is heading weather wise into it's best part of the year, temps in the mid 80s with less humidity and no afternoon showers. Hurricane season ends December 1st but things do quiet down in late October and November. Thanks for The Daily, everyone stay well and have a great day.
  15. Brings to mind a famous Yogism, no one goes to that restaurant anymore, it's too crowded.
  16. I agree, 400 people a day are still dying because of Covid. There should still be testing 2 days before sailing.
  17. That 30 extra miles between FLL and Miami is is a horror show on I-95, very dangerous with insane drivers. We like FLL the best with Tampa next and only 90 miles away but Tampa just doesn't have that many cruises, it's a small port and limited to smaller ships because of the height of the Sunshine Skyway bridge. Port Caneveral is just a bit too far for us as we live in southwest Florida.
  18. I disagree, we have been on 5 MSC cruises but never Yacht Club yet found the cruise product much better than Carnival, we've had one cruise on Carnival and it was our worst cruise ever out of the 68 we have been on. You can't beat the status match on MSC and they matched our Elite status with Princess and we had some nice perks. The prices on MSC are hard to beat also, what we don't like is driving to and sailing out of Miami.
  19. We have been on 6 cruises since Thanksgiving, 2 on Princess, 3 on Celebrity and 1 on HAL, we have had twice a day service on all 6 cruises and never had to ask. Princess and HAL didn't give us chocolate mints on the pillow but who cares, we get enough chocolate with lunch and dinner.
  20. The women in question looked like they had no idea what designer clothes are.
