  1. Got off the Reflection yesterday. Had a great cruise but at the airport yesterday started shivering. Went to bed as soon as I got home last night. This morning tested positive for covid (fully vaxed and boosted twice) 🤕
  2. When was this change announced? On January 9 I upgraded one of us to premium for our upcoming February cruise, so wondering if I just got in under the wire.
  3. Will be on Reflection in two weeks' time so looking forward to reading about your cruise experience.
  4. Two days ago I upgraded one of us in the cabin from classic to premium for our cruise next month by calling the main 1-800 number so was pleased I was still able to do so as premium would be a waste for one of us who does not drink wine or martinis, just simple drinks like bacardi & coke, pina colada, mudslide, etc.
  5. We were on the October 1 sailing. Our check in time was 11:30-noon. We arrived at the terminal at 10:45 and were on the ship by 11. Absolutely no lines to board. Perhaps because there were only 1,650 passengers on our sailing. No one asked to look at our CDC vaccination cards.
  6. And on the Solstice two weeks ago they did not want to look at the CDC vaccination record, only passport.
  7. Here is a pic from the martini bar last week on the Solstice. That is captain Theo in the middle, the cruise director on the left, and I'm not sure which officer on the right.
  8. Each day at noon or 1pm persons at the pool area were asked to take part in guessing the answer to a question of the day. One of the questions was "what is the passenger count on this cruise" and the answer was 1,650 (the person who guessed closest won a Celebrity ball cap).
  9. We disembarked from the Solstice this morning. There was plenty of elbow room around the pool and in the bars and theater as there were only 1,650 passengers on board, and plenty of staff to take care of our needs. Had a great cruise.
  10. We will also be on the Solstice this Saturday. Just looked up the temps for our ports next week - in the 80s. That will be wonderful for us, we live in southeast Texas where the heat and humidity has been in the 90s and 100s since May, so the 80s will seem cool to us (we will be putting sweaters in our suitcases when we pack tomorrow). Perhaps the OP lives in a cold climate and struggles with the 80s.
  11. I took this train from Seward to Anchorage airport 4 years ago after getting off the Millennium. I loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat, it is a very scenic ride past small glaciers, you see a lot more from the train than from the road as most of the journey is not alongside the road. It does leave early in the morning, about 7am, but on the train they give you a light breakfast. The night before we had to put our luggage in the hallway outside our cabin, then we didn't see the luggage again until Anchorage airport. At the airport we were directed to a room where everyone's luggage was waiting for train riders to collect. I do not know the procedure for taking a wheelchair on the train. I had a small backpack with me that I kept at my feet.
