    Personally I don’t see the difference between across the corridor and on a different floor. Either way there could be lots of things taking place that parents wouldn’t be happy with. Our kids aren’t old enough to have that problem yet but my daughter is staying in our room until she’s at least 30!!

    Interesting thought. I’d imagine the hospital would have more expertise and specialisation. Thankfully I haven’t been to a doc on an RC ship but I thought of them as a general practitioner.

    I believe it’s 10euro per person return. Is Oasis stopping in Marseille? I thought there was a strike impacting that.

    We’ll agree to disagree. I see it as a barman seeing that the child might fall and he wanted to prevent it. That’s all. I’m really mystified where people are getting the idea that kids can’t sit at bars but no one has pointed to an RC document that says it. I can only presume it’s a local law that people are accustomed to and therefore they assume it applies everywhere.

    It would be nice if there was an element of luck in it. I like the idea of someone bidding the minimum and going from an ocean view to a full suite. Someone with the money to book the suite in the beginning, can do it any time they want. I say that as someone who will only get to stay in an owners suite or above, if a minimum bid wins.

    We’ve only bid once and succeeded with that. If was from an interior guarantee to an ocean view balcony on our upcoming Odyssey sailing. It was a minimum offer bid. We have another bid submitted on a different cruise but don’t expect to get that as we’re already in a JS and any upgrade is to a room type with relatively low inventory.

    If the child was the age to use a stroller then it was likely a health and safety issue. A child that age could easily fall off a high stool, regardless if it was at a bar or anywhere else.

    Just for clarification if you booked in the UK or Ireland you cannot price adjust. If you book at a price you’re stuck with it.

    Exactly this. The cruise ship is a completely abnormal environment where drinking is happening everywhere, even the windjammer. As always it sounds like some people on CC need to move cruise line to one who doesn’t target families as their core demographic.

    I’d imagine cost is now more of an issue than it was. At current prices, it would be a very expensive lifestyle.

    Don’t get me started on some of things I’ve seen and, more importantly, not seen happen in bathrooms onboard.

    That’s not my experience. The hand-wash is a great addition but some people still walk straight by without using it. I’d love to see the staff at the door given a taser for those people who believe their time is more valuable than everyone’s health.

    Is Liberty in charge of both business? Perhaps it’s to “encourage” people to spend less time on their balconies and more on the pool deck where they are more likely to spend money.

    Expect to pay more for less than before and you won’t be disappointed.

    Purchase on a port day that you’re not interested in or better again a port day which docks later in the day. It’s much cheaper.

    Do you mean connecting rooms or available connecting rooms? The latter is much more difficult I find.

    I was trying this for our upcoming Odyssey trip. From our stateroom there is a change of category before you get to a connecting balcony. Does the logic still hold true?

    I think you might be overestimating the number of people in Europe who follow the NBA that closely and RCs flexibly when it comes to their schedules.

    Can you have a WOW band and a regular sea pass card? I can see a use for the band when at the pool or slides and the card the rest of the time.
