  1. It will depend on the port. I've been to several that have separate lines for green and blue lanes. I wonder if the poster is traveling with a companion that is in the blue lane or perhaps a child for whom documents need to be checked.
  2. I save everything to the cloud or Google drive so that I can always access it even if I don't have my own phone or lose papers. It's also possible to just email documents to yourself or someone else as attachments. That way, they are always accessible.
  3. The green lane indicates that all necessary information has been provided and health status is not an issue. The blue lane indicates that there is information to be collected but health status is not an issue. The yellow lane indicates that there is a health status check needed, for example - a need to provide proof of vaccination or testing on an itinerary that requires those. https://www.princess.com/plan/oceanready/
  4. Here is the information on Suite benefits https://www.princess.com/learn/ships/staterooms/suites/ The only reserved seats for production shows are available to those who have the Premier package that included gratuities, internet and the premier beverage package. All ships now use medallions in place of key cards and some shops in ports accept payments with your medallion. The medallion functions in all the ways key cards did if you haven't used one before. They are quarter sized discs that come with a holder and lanyard, but wristbands and other holders are available. They are exactly the size of an Apple Air Tag. Personal information, payment method, travel documents, security photos etc can all be uploaded to the app. There are no more paper boarding passes. When you arrive at the port, you can just present the medallion if you've already received it or your ID. Here is some information about how it works https://www.princess.com/plan/oceanready/ Once onboard, the app allows you to order food and drinks to be delivered to wherever you are on the ship, locate your travel companions, see the deck plan, download and purchase photos, check the charges on your folio, book shore excursions, and chat with guest services if you have questions or concerns. It is very convenient. Shore excursions and spa services are still booked on the website but everything else - check in, dining, etc has migrated to the Medallion Class App. The app can be downloaded to any mobile device and there is also a web-based version. The link can be found at princess.com Traditional dining with set times at assigned tables with the same group of strangers each night has been discontinued. The current Dine My Way option works just like land based restaurants. You can make reservations ahead of time using the app, or using your stateroom TV once onboard, at whatever location you want, at whatever time you want, on the days you want. If you are traveling with others, you can add them as travel companions in the app and make reservations that include them. You can also just arrive at the door and be seated when a table is available. It's possible to make reservations at the same dining room for every night at the same time, but if you want to be seated at the same table each evening, you would have to request that once onboard.
  5. It very well might be but you've still paid for 15 drinks + tips even if you didn't order that many. It all depends on how you look at it. I view it as a dollar amount spent on coffee, bottled water, and alcoholic drinks plus tips, not 15 alcoholic drinks.
  6. I have never tried using one for a spa service but I have often used them for shore excursions where there is no option to pay with a gift card online. Many agents don't seem to know how to apply the payment, but it is possible. My advice is to hang up and call back if you get an agent who says that gift cards can't be used and can bear the hold time. Otherwise I'd ask to be transferred to guest relations.
  7. Per the news article below Vietnam e-visas will be good for 90 days and allow multiple entries starting on August 15. 11. If an e-visa were a option it would be for Vung Tau, not Ho Chi Minh City. I have asked and am still waiting for an answer about whether it is indeed considered Vung Tau. Vung Tau port includes the following component ports: Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port, Sao Mai-Ben Dinh: This is the main port for container transport. Currently, the port is capable of receiving ships up to 200,000 DWT. The main container terminals are TCTT/TCIT, CMIT, TCTT, SSIT and Gemalink (expected to officially open January 2020). Ports of Phu My, My Xuan: a general port, a container port capable of receiving ships up to 30,000 DWT. As planned by the government of Vietnam, this port will be capable of receiving ships up to 80,000 DWT. Port on Dinh river: is capable of receiving ships up to 20,000 DWT, and will be capable to handle ships up to 30,000 DWT. Port of Ben Dam, Con Dao Island.
  12. I have seen many questions about Phu My and have reached out to e-visa support to see if it is considered a part of Vung Tau for the e-visa application based on the information below. 13. You may need to apply for a multi-entry visa if you are leaving Vietnam and returning. I have the same issue and have reached out to their consulate for clarification.
  14. We used Bella Italia Tours for a tour to Pisa and Florence from the port in Livorno and had a terrific experience. We found it to be the best small group tour of the many we did during our time on the Enchanted Princess in May and June. Our driver/guide Massimo spoke perfect English and was engaging, knowledgeable, and very enthusiastic. He made us all want to return for another visit. I'd definitely suggest considering Bella Italia if you are looking for small group or private excursions from Livorno.
  15. Our group of 6 had a terrific tour with Lunae Tours to Monterosso, Vernazza, and Corniglia from the port in Genoa. They were easy to work with from the first contact and provided exactly what we'd been looking for. Our driver Gianni spoke excellent English, was personable, and shared a great deal of interesting information during our drive to and from the Cinque Terre where we met our guide who was also very, very good. We were also more than pleased with the restaurant that they suggested for lunch. We couldn't have been happier with the view or the food. While traveling with a guide might not be necessary, it does make the day much more relaxing. The 9 hour tour was not tiring in the least because everything was easy and seamless. It was nice to be able to just enjoy the beautiful environment while having someone else deal with train schedules and tickets, timing to arrive for a lunch reservation, and giving information. We were very pleased and I'd definitely suggest booking with Lunae Tours for any excursion. Their website is https://www.lunaetours.com/en/home-lunaetours-handcrafted-travel/
  16. We just used them for three tours - Taormina and Mt. Etna from Messina, Aix-en-Provence and Cassis from Marseilles, and Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast from Naples. Our experiences varied tremendously. Their prices are very reasonable. I would not recommend the tour from Messina. First the negatives, we didn't have anywhere near enough time to see Mt. Etna as we literally stopped at the base station of a ski lift for 5 minutes where there was no view. It would have been better to just go to Taormina, which is lovely. The driver spoke very limited English and gave us absolutely no information and he had to stop on the way back to recharge the vehicle. On the positive side it was easy to find him for pick-up, the 6 of us were back at the ship right on time. The tour to Aix and Cassis was nice, but nothing extraordinary. The drive spoke good English and gave us quite a bit of information and did make a real effort to help us see the Calanques national park. She was also friendly and happy to take pictures etc. Our time in Cassis was very short though. I'd recommend it. It was nice to see a couple of the smaller towns and a bit of Marseille. We were a group of 8. The tour to Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast was a very good experience if you've never been to the area. We were a group of 16 with a driver and local guide. The guide who travelled with us in the van spoke excellent English and gave us lots of information and was happy to help with photos and finding the best spots for them. The tour is a great overview and the inclusion of a specialist guide in Pompeii is a big plus. The time in Sorrento was limited, but we were able to enjoy a walk through town and a nice lunch. I would definitely recommend that tour.
  17. That would be a lot of ground to cover in a single day but if you do it on your own or book a private tour, it could certainly be done. I don't know of any small group "join-in" type tours that would do both Capri and the Amalfi coast or Sorrento from Naples. You could reach out to tour operators and ask for proposals. One company that works with many cruise passengers is https://www.italytours.eu/ Here's one example of a private itinerary https://www.getyourguide.com/naples-l162/from-naples-capri-and-amalfi-coast-full-day-tour-t466026/
  18. On the Enchanted it is possible to turn the closet light on with a switch even if the sensor is covered. It’s still on a timer though. So annoying, but better than no switch at all.
  19. We were onboard recently and there were no problems with the AC in our cabin
  20. I got the gray but I have no idea if another color would have been a better choice. If I remember I thought maybe the lighter color would be easier to see through than black when I picked it.
  21. My advice on mosquito netting is that it’s inexpensive, takes up little space, and is worth its weight in gold if you need it even one day. I have the one liked below and was very grateful to have it on a July visit to Lake Myvatn in Iceland. Expecting that it could be handy in Greenland too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B074QN7LFF?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
  22. We recently did this small group tour. They were limiting groups to 6 and we really enjoyed it. You can book and be placed with others, no need to form a group. I believe it could be arranged privately though. https://www.curiotravel.com/tours/small-group-tour-with-tram-max-10-guests-ancient-hippodrome-blue-mosque-topkapi-palace-hagia-sophia-grand-bazaar?tur_id=146
  23. Only those hiking up need to buy the Nature Reserve tickets. They're included in the price of the cablecar and the taxi tours The cable car ticket doesn’t automatically include the Nature Preserve. Combination tickets are available for the cable car and Nature Preserve though. The poster I was answering is using the cable car as an inclusion with their restaurant reservation. If they want to enter the Nature Reserve they will need tickets. They are not included with the free “ skip the line” use of the cable car when you make a reservation at Mons Calpe Suite
  24. We recently had multiple days in Athens and spent one touring Athens with Hellenic Private Tours. On the other days we organized a private half day tour to ancient Corinth with Hellenic Private Tours and a day of sailing with All Day Cruise. Both were really enjoyable and I'd definitely recommend them. https://hellenicprivatetours.com/privatetours/corinth-half-day/ https://www.alldaycruise.net/tour/unique-sailing-experience-to-agistri-moni-aegina/
  25. It's possible to buy the tickets for the Nature Reserve ahead of time if you like. Then you just show your confirmation with order number. https://naturereserve.gi/tickets/
