  1. It is as stated - 2 per cruise. Good value on a 4 night? Maybe. Not so much on a world cruise.
  2. It was at 6:35 on Saturday. We were scheduled to arrive at 4:00 and told to expect walk offs to begin at 7:00. Those times are all the earliest I’ve seen in Port Everglades. I’d only book flights before 11:00 if I was comfortable with having to deal with a missed flight though. For every time a ship is cleared early, there is a time when it is cleared late. If you are still sitting and waiting at 8:35 will you be stressed?
  3. My booking confirmation for a Mediterranean cruise included instructions for those returning to the airport in Rome to get the transfer to Civitavecchia. Obviously, they expect many to do it
  4. You can check for discounted prices at https://onestopparking.com/ Last time I parked the price at Park N Go was the same as parking at the Port Everglades garage. I ended up booking Park by the Ports at One Stop Parking and was very happy with them
  5. To be fair, it’s been a long time since any of us has seen a phone book!
  6. Really? That’s interesting. Phone books had addresses as well as phone numbers in all of the states that I’ve lived in.
  7. I agree Princess Plus was a great deal compared to other cruise lines drink packages. I would absolutely have understood a price increase. What bothered me was that the first price increase when Premier was introduced came with a corresponding increase in wine prices that put a number of my regular choices above the price limit for Plus. I wish they’d just raised it $20 at the beginning. I also think this is all a better value for those who take short cruises. Maybe offering a number of specialty dining meals or exercise classes proportionate to the length of the cruise would have been more palatable.
  8. You can see which nights and at what time shows are scheduled. In the Journey View Activities timeline in the app. I’ve seen it populate as much as a couple of months before a cruise
  9. It sounds like the TA is incompetent if they don’t know that the travel summary and other paperwork would outline passport requirements. That said, if the passengers weren’t able to read their travel summary for whatever reason - eyesight, language issues, illiteracy etc. , they should have asked someone to do it for them and perhaps relied on their TA to do it. There is no way Princess was unclear about this in the travel documents
  10. Their travel summary should list the passport requirements. Mine clearly stated that a passport book is required for my Panama Canal cruise. What a shame that they didn’t see it
  11. We were there and saw two big issues. First, medallions were delayed so everyone had to pick them up at the port. That made check in very slow. An agent told me that they had only arrived at the port that morning. Second, the escalator wasn’t working and many people had more bags than they could carry up the stairs. That left a huge crowd waiting for elevators
  12. For me, staff trying to anticipate my order is a big negative. The fact that I order white wine the first three nights of a cruise doesn’t mean that I won’t want beef for dinner and red wine on night 4. I hate being presented with unordered food or drinks that just go to waste. It makes me as well as the server feel bad.
  13. You are right. The discussion veered far away from the answer to your question. I am sorry to have been a part of that.
  14. The smell is one problem, but the health risks associated with exposure to second hand smoke ( and third hand smoke too) is much more concerning to me
  15. If they valued smokers they could allow smoking everywhere in the ships.
  16. The message I get is that casino players are Princess’s least valued guests. The choice to make the casino a smoking area speaks volumes
  17. I was told that they like to scan medallions to keep track of dining room usage. While I’ve never waited in that situation, I’ve still been asked to scan occasionally
  18. Good point, it was a bad example. It’s still possible though that a cruise could end up going to a port that has, or adds, a vaccination requirement.
  19. Vaccination may not be required to cruise but can still be required to disembark by ports. I wouldn’t want to be unable to get off the ship. Itinerary or vaccination requirement changes are always a possibility
  20. I would bring it. Even if the ports you are visiting don’t require proof of vaccination, there could always be an itinerary change. It would be a shame to miss a port because you didn’t pack your proof of vaccination
  21. Shellac does refer to the gel that cures under lights. A plain pedicure uses regular nail polish
  22. No, you will not be reserving the same table each night. You have to make that request onboard in the MDR. They can usually accommodate that request. There is no way to request that the same people be seated with you each night unless you know them and can list them as travel companions in the app. If you meet people onboard who also want to dine with you you can arrange it then
  23. I think that it does help to limit congestion and wait times if not everyone has to pick up medallions (or cruise cards). We had a cruise where Princess received the medallions too late even to ship within the US. It slowed everything down. I’d rather wait 2 minutes than 20
  24. I am pretty sure that today’s key cards use RFID technology not magnetic stripes. The Medallion also uses it
