    In the UK our penalties have always been our deposit which is 20% of the total cost.

    My husband asked for a French press coffee in the mornings when we were on the Voyager in March and our butler informed him that they didn't have any on board, but on our third day, she appeared with a French press coffee pot and each morning after that. Fantastic service and hopefully they brought more than one.

    Thank you for taking the time to write such a delightful report. I'm going to miss my daily read. Enjoy your last few days in Alicante and safe travels home.

    Our cruise in January is showing availability in all but two of the higher suites (Voyager and Grand I think) and I had no trouble getting the tours we wanted despite only booking a few weeks ago.

    We had multiple sea days travelling to the South Seas and we had a fantastic lady who did crafts. We learnt ribbon braiding, we made lei's and necklaces and bracelets. I dragged my husband along so we had enough for our granddaughters.

    Reading some of the comments about the hotel, I really hope we aren't put here, but time will tell. Can I ask why you say to avoid the Cullin?

    We appear to be on the same cruise but all it says on our pre-cruise stay, is TBD and lists our pre-cruise tour but no details. Oh well, we will find out soon enough but your hotel looks lovely.

    When is your cruise please. We haven't been notified yet for our January cruise out of Cape Town.

    Thank you. I thought things might have changed. Oh well, one less decision to make and as we often skip lunch our waistlines will thank us.

    On Regents website the Hotel for the pre-cruise Winelands and Wildlife is listed as The Southern Sun Cullinan or similar, so hope it has improved since 2018. We stayed at The Westin in Rome and it was fine.

    I like Rose wine and wish Regent included more than two as there are some very good ones on the market.

    Do Prime 7 and Chartreuse open for lunch on Voyager as they didn't on our last cruise on her and this would be a great option on our run of sea days.

    Thank you for the very thoughtful answer. Yes we are overnighting, but having not been to Rio we have opted to do a long tour to encompass all the main sights and we wouldn't be back before we would need to leave for the airport. We have wondered if we could book a car for another tour, using obc and then be dropped at the airport. I'm sure it will all work out.

    Regent put a tour of Barcelona on for those with afternoon flights earlier in the year, but we didn't get notified until a few days before disembarkation.

    That is interesting about being able to use obc credit for bingo. I might just have to go and have a game with some of ours 👍

    Can't help with your question but glad you got some recompense for the missed ports, we got nothing for 3 missed ports earlier this year. But never mind, better luck with our next cruise.

    Can anyone tell me what Regent offer on departure day in Rio if you have a late flight home. When we had this situation in Tahti, there was the option of being taken to a hotel for the day and in Barcelona there was a city tour offered.

    Late to this but have a wonderful cruise and we agree, the situation with UK cruisers and not getting the folder with everything in, really detracts from your cruise experience. I shall do the same for our next cruise as we did for our last and make my own labels for the ship, but hopefully as we have a pre-cruise tour, things might be more organised.

    We have just booked a January cruise and had the same worries as you prior to booking, but once booked and on looking at the excursions we were surprised to find that all the ones we wanted were available, so you might be pleasantly surprised.

    We don't receive Amanda Chapple's emails but we do receive Graham's and I will agree with you that the brochure about the castles and other places was lovely and I eagerly poured over the penguins at Boulder Beach.

    Do you know if you can use your obc to hire a car for the day on disembarkation? We have a night flight home and also have lots of obc.

    There is a bottle in your suite on boarding nicely chilled in an ice bucket.

    As there have been threads regarding booking later and if the tours will be available, I'd just like to offer some reassurance. We have just booked a cruise in January that doesn't have many tours and we were worried that a lot of the tours would be waitlisted but we never found any waitlisted, so all our tours are booked.
