They have the Albanian guy in custody.
They have the addresses of the two places where they tried to use the credit cards which are across the street from each other. Whether the police will do anything like look at security camera footage .. I doubt it.

They have a photo of my brand new Kate bag which is bright yellow so easily identifiable. As you say our passports are probably in a bin whilst some Albanian lowlife is walking round with my brand new bag causing us all this inconvenience trapping us in Spain for at least 48 hours.

I’m most gutted about the un replaceable things … like my pinnacle passport holder!

So annoying....Hopefully the embassy will make the process as efficient as possible for replacement passport.

I know it's not the same but maybe you could get one of these as a replacement.

    https://www.google.com/search?q=crown+and+anchor+pinnacle+passport+holder&oq=crown+and+anchor+pinnacle+passport+holder&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRigATIHCAMQIRigATIHCAQQIRigAdIBCTE2NDI2ajBqOagCDrACAQ&client=ms-android-boostdish-us-revc&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

Or try calling crown and Anchor number when you get home and tell them your story.  Maybe you get the right person and they will send you a replacement.   Or look on ebay.

I hope karma gets these thieves soon.

  2. They have been trying to go paperless with the cruise compass.  You can use the App for daily activities or you can ask your room steward to bring you a daily compass (usually only provided by request) or you can download via the QR code that is available to use while onboard.

If staying in any cabin other than a suite you will have once a day room cleaning and can select your preference of morning or evening when you meet your room steward on embarkment day.   We usually prefer evening and ask for it to be done while we are at diner.

You will need your sea pass card to check out towels at the pool or for any excursions.  If you do not return those towels by end of cruise you will be charged $25/per towel.

Muster station is now easy peasy as mentioned above.

Enjoy the fun of planning your cruise.    Welcome back

Well; that didn’t end well… we had checked in our cases and we were sitting reading before going through security at BCN when some lowlife stole my handbag 👜 containing our Passports, boarding passes, my glasses, driving licence & credit cards - all gone 😭
Not allowed on flight back home.
DH caught the guy who did the distraction whilst his accomplice nicked my brand new Kate Spade bag, helped by some nearby lads who just happened to be Swiss Police on holiday!
Now the trauma of getting new passports etc so we can get home.
Stopped credit cards immediately but they have tried to use them already in the city centre so police know exactly where they are in the city.

hopefully they can match up security cameras footage at the airport with street camera at the two venues where they tried to use them and identify them.

I think I’m more gutted about losing the new handbag and my Pinnacle passport holder

Takes about 48 hours to get a new emergency travel document so checked into hotel and had a very large glass of wine. Ok it was a bottle.

    LB

OH NO, That is Horrible!    I sure hope they catch those lowlifes. 😠   The sad part is they probably took out what they wanted and disposed of everything else.    So sorry you have to go through this hassle😪

Just know if you book a JS on the aft on deck 7 like @Luckynana mentioned those cabins are kind of dug out into the back of the hull and get No sun  whats so ever. If you like lots of shade they are okay, also being in those cabins you can not look straight down to the ocean either. There is like a dance floor area outside your balcony below.

If you are to book one of those cabins book on the aft facing the wake either #7708 or #7408 is the one to pick. Those are regular size cabins but have the larger balconies on the entire ship, even including the suites.

These balconies also allow you to look to the sides of the ship too because there is a large open like port hole opening to look through. Really a nice cabin for the reduced price compared to a JS.

I agree cabins 7408 or 7708 are great with the large corner balcony.   @MJSailors   If you like a OV Balcony and either one of these is available.   There are nice but do tend to sell out quick.   Here is a video I found online.

Our Twin daughters are celebrating their birthdays today!  Melanie is driving home from packing up most of our granddaughter's college dorm possessions at URI.  Judy requested tacos for dinner, perhaps since today is Cinco de Mayo.😊

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BOTH OF YOUR DAUGHTERS  🎉💐🎉💐    I hope they are both having a great day!

Out of curiosity I looked at their prices. My goodness. A 7 night cruise just touring Maryland and Virginia is more per person than I paid for three in a grand suite next month for an 8 night cruise on RC.

Pre-covid we stayed at Pier 5 hotel (inner harbor) and saw one of their cruise ships docked there.   I had never heard of them and check out their pricing online and was in shock and that was the fall of 2019.

Malaga is such a lush and beautiful place.  Our trip to the cooking class was about 45 minutes up the mountains, past Colmenar, a quaint town nestled in the valleys, with very friendly people. And Toro, the local mascot.

A bit more up the mountains, which are all classified as Preserve areas, meaning you must be a farmer or producer to live there. They get most everything from locals except staples from the grocery store.
Lush olive tree fields, cactus (grown just for the fruit), wine vineyards, almond trees, goats roaming free, just amazing.

La Rosilla is in Solano, where we were met and driven out to the house and were greeted warmly with conversation about us and daily life for them, wine, and incredible snacks, which tasted like a refined fig newton. We toured the area where they grew almond and olive trees on the hillsides and left with olive oil they produce themselves. Just an amazing fresh taste and feel, nothing like any store bought oils I have ever had.

Into the kitchen for cooking… starting with almonds toasted in olive oil and fresh rosemary, OMG, so simple but you couldn’t stop eating them. They grow all their own herbs and vegetables on the patio, with lemon and orange trees to grab fresh picked fruit.

Next was prep for the Paella, onions, beans, asparagus from the backyard, peppers, lemons and 2 kinds of fresh mushrooms, with chicken and locally made chorizo. Then out to the patio to the burners and paella pans, learning cool techniques and tips for the best results. Layering the ingredients with such a heavenly smell, sigh.

While that cooked, we had fresh out of oven olive loaf bread with tapas of local pork loin, sausage, with quince jelly and cheeses.

Then onto the main course, the paella, which traditionally is only eaten in the noon meal, too heavy for the later evening meal. Such a rich flavor, nothing like I ever got when I tried to make it.
We ended with an almond/orange slice of pie with lemon gelato, it was eaten so fast we forgot to get a picture. We were just stuffed and returned to the ship very satisfied. I would highly recommend this fun adventure for anyone wanting something different.

Okay.  I tried downloading a picture or two or 3 from my grandson Jack's Prom pictures  I still don't know what I'm doing (obviously).  So..the two duplicate pictures on the top of the page are 3 of our grandsons.  Jack on the left, William in the middle, and Ryan on the right.

The next picture is of Ryan and another friend of both Jack and Ryan.

The next is of Jack and his girlfriend.

The last is the group in front of the Limo.

Beautiful photos!    The making of some great memories for All to enjoy years to come.

Your Grandsons are all very handsome young men.

The friend to the far right in front of limo looks like he has lot of personality and would be a lot of fun to be around.

Today marks 43 years since my Dad died at the age of 61.  He was a Foreman working on the 2nd Avenue Subway project when he fell down 25 feet, head first.  He was a very healthy, strong man who never smoked in his life.  He remained in a coma for a week before finally passing, which was a Blessing, due to his extensive injuries.

So we did get a Ricky update yesterday from his blood test.  Numbers were up over 30, so that was good.

Now he gets his steroid dose cut in half, and he just has to finish antibiotics.  Then, another blood test next week to monitor how things are going.

He does seem to be acting almost normal.  (Well, normal for him)

    Excellent😻

I was thinking more of them pounding the spike in. 😗

I was awake in the OR for the re-attachment of my index finger.  It was freaking out the OR nurses as they said they weren't used to talking to the patient.

They asked what music I wanted on so they played assorted rock....Pink floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc.

For me the worst part was the Dr hammering in the rod/spike.  I felt that pounding throughout my body.   Then he removed it as he wanted to better position it.   So more pounding.

I'm going may 2025 and staying over in rome. Im hearing mixed things like even if the hotel says it has ac it doesnt in may. By law the hotel cant turn on ac until june. 23 days plus 4 or 6 days in rome. Idk. I am worried about pick pockets and hearing stories. I dont speak other languages. Bus system. I've never been let alone by myself. I know I can get a hotel close to most things but I'm still worried my first time. Reading just worries me more. The reason for 4 or 6 days is from what I see flights cost more on friday, 4 days. I can stay 6 days and fly home on a sunday about the same price.

My buyers called today out of the blue needing more time. I agreed to only 10 days. Not happy, kinda mad. I called before I made a deposit to move and she lied and said her rate locked and ready. Liar. Calling moving company to see if I can push it back a week. Waiting for call back. Ready for this to be over. She is from Vietnam and she and her co signer both dont seem to understand dates matter. Hes trying to BS me about how it's not unusual a few days late or a automatic extension 30 days. I said no such thing, contacts dont have 30 days extension built in. Hes making stuff up. He acts like hes a expert and doesnt know I know better. I'm really pissed off this morning after all his BS. I've paid to move, no one here and the house will be empty, lawn needs mowing etc.

As a seller you may ask buyers to provide proof they are fully approved for their mortgage.  Maybe you want to ask them for mortgage commitment letter from their lender to make sure no financing issues.

We are looking at dates in October, no way would we do this type of tour in the summer.

My Brother and his Wife did one of his tour packages in Italy and absolutely loved it.   I remember them saying everyday is planned out and found the schedule to be busy but thoroughly enjoyed.

A year or two later they followed his suggestions for touring UK but on the own, not a group tour.  They were happy with that trip too.
