  1. First off, am amazed any insurance will pay for proctored tests for travel, wow, someone  has amazing insurance!!   Anyone that is on Medicare have this result?   Have great supplemental, but as we know, if not Medicare approved procedure, supplemental does not and will not supplement.?   Second, all these online testing sites, only approved by NCL, ummm, makes me wonder,

  2. NCL requires COVID vaccinations. which by this time for most of us has been over a year and a half, from the initial availability in 2021.  Boosters not required for US sailings to my knowledge.  So thinking our protection time has "expired".  We were first in line for being vaxed and boosted.  But  really dont think the vax requirement is effective at his point in time.  Unless boosters are required,.  testing negative before a cruise I think is a lot of hassle, yes I know, others do everything online, but waiting for getting back to sailing without covid restircitons.  We sailed in Janaury on the Bliss from San Pedro, testing was done By NCL, went smoothly and sure enjoyed that cruise.

  3. I have looked, asked online chat, but know it is my bad, but cannot bring up the current policy if you test 48 hours before cruise  positive, what is the cancel policy? I have  been directed to where to click on "policy" NCL online, i dont' get anywhere.  HELP out to all those you experts, thanks

  4. For anyone that actually arrived at any US port without a negative test, did NCL provide testing at the Pier, obviously for a price??  Chatline and our assigned personal cruise consultant says yes they do.  I know all about the proctored test online, but just asking if in fact anyone got their test done prior to boarding from their embarkation Port.

  5. think they are somewhat similar, have been on the Joy ,  would suggest getting a cabin on the deck the observation lounge is located, 15 I think??  Also have been on the Bliss, fortunate to be in the Haven. not sure which entertainment is available on the two Sister Ships lately, but that may be a factor for you.  Sure you will enjoy either!!!

  6. I certainly understand the OP, we have been very loyal cruisers the last 20 years.
We somehow managed to get on a cruise in January, it was so stressful, getting the online check in done.  But were fortunate at that time there was still Covid testing done at the Pier (San Pedro). very easy.  Have the bucks to sail again, but won't deal with all the proctored at home Covid testing, just too much.  NCL listen UP, retired people have the time to cruise, make it easier.  and I realize most retirees have no problem with uploading, downloading, but just stressful for us

  7. Pretty casual, especially breakfast and lunch.  We do like to dress a little up for dinners, haven or others.  Just like collared shirts and long pants for hubby, black slacks and a little dressy top for me, or maybe a dress, not formal at all.  Just off the Bliss January 2022.  the Haven is GREAT.  the observation lounge is beyond.
