  1. Sailing September 2 so was wondering this also. Had heard about the $8 second time around cost. What about lunch - still unlimited visits at Chibang and Cucina?
  2. Happened to us on last Celebration cruise, was wondering if fleet wide or particular ships.
  3. We were on the Divina during both Irma and Ian, crazy coincidence, both Captains steered us around the storm, during Irma spent three extra nights docked in Cozumel, during Ian two extra nights at sea, both worked fine for us, had no other commitments, we do live in Florida and do not hesitate to book during hurricane season. Officially hurricane season is June 1 through November 30, who really knows when the “heart” of it is.
  4. Would not do upgrade. Did Cove Deck 5 on Celebration loved it. Mardi Gras similar deck plan. Perfect location. Enjoyed location so much we are doing OV on Deck 5 because Coves are gone.
  5. I have always booked on-line without any problems. I like to research the date, ship and cabin choice ahead of time and then I go on-line and do my thing with booking. Also I have always received appropriate emails when making any payments on-line.
  6. Oops, that’s the email address I used also - guestadmin@carnival.com - at one time used the other - ty @Sugar67.
  7. Emailed request two days ago and received acknowledgement today of OBC amounts for three upcoming cruises. Great service. Used the following address: shareholders@carnival.com.
  8. We have always found the maitre d on any of the MSC ships we have been on to be very accommodating.
  9. Fond memories - ha - table placement is crazy.
  10. Agree with @JamieLogical, we always ate bkft in dining room, and lunch as well, although if I remember correctly lunch may not be available in dining room days at Ocean Cay and Port days. When you arrive to be seated you will most likely be asked if you want to “share” a table, which they push, but you can insist on a “table for two” if that is your choice, we always did.
  11. 1) I would suggest using husband’s Marriott status. 2) Yes, you each submit your own proof from wherever. 3) Do the booking in your husband’s name first, although whoever has highest status will receive the benefit, such as “Butchers Cut” meal, but it is for two regardless of whose name is first on booking. And even if both of you are eventually Diamond, it is still one dinner for two per cabin. Make sense?
  12. Interesting “floor13,” I haven’t seen those posts but as you say it probably depends on cruise staff. We have never been denied. Crazy to deny someone, I would ask if they wanted me to drink it in front of them before I stepped over the threshold. I do recall once not having any package but had a bottle of Prosecco and took it to Steakhouse with us, we had already opened it, waiter said ‘we do not allow bottles from outside’ so I started to stand up and ask if I should take it back to our cabin, waiter replied ‘oh no that’s ok, had to mention it so you were aware.’
  13. When dining in Specialty Venue, stop by a bar on way and order a few beverages and take with you. We have done that in the past. We have also seen people leave their tables during meal to walk out to a bar and bring back beverages.
  14. I usually keep track of it on my own and pay it on-line a few weeks out so do not know if a ‘reminder’ is sent by MSC or not. I have always received an email confirmation of any payments I make.
  15. Can you send a link to that review? (Sorry to ask this, I should know how to find it.)
  16. Sorry not able to answer your question (have been on Seascape but not recently) but once on board if you find out a Margarita would be charged to your account when dining at Hola Tacos, stop by any bar on way and pick up a couple to take in with you.
  17. Yeah, ty, we are doing a B2B - in October from Rome 10 nights plus 15 night TA, and the 10 night is our 25th Carnival and want to use the OBC we get as a result of milestone to our best use. TMI, right!? Yikes! Cruise on and enjoy!
  18. Jimbo5544, if you (or anyone else currently on Pride and following along on this thread) walk by Cherry On Top sometime would you mind stopping in to ask if Carnival Gift Cards can still be purchased with OBC? Hope you are enjoying a restful “day at sea,” appreciate all your work.
  19. You asked about priority boarding if Platinum, even if Platinum you still have to check in (you can check in earlier than others but sorry i forget the exact time frame) to get your assigned time and then once you get to embarkation you can find the priority line which is not always obvious. All this to say, if you indeed are Platinum on the first leg the computer should let you check in earlier to receive a better/earlier time of that is what you want. When your sign in to your account/cruise it should tell you when you are eligible to check in.
  20. Ah, good idea, I’ll make sure my PVP has done that, probably has but will make certain.
  21. I am wondering if the fact that we are in two different cabins would make a difference.
  22. We are Platinum and will hit Diamond on our next B2B but we have different cabins so perhaps Diamond will just click in when we are given a new card for the second cabin.
  23. We have been in several Cove Balconies without any ‘salt’ issues. Most recently we were on the Celebration in a Cove on Deck 5 and absolutely enjoyed the location, made everything on ship easily accessible, were able to quickly orientate ourselves to the ship. Actually we enjoyed the “cove” location on the Celebration so much we booked an Oceanview on same ship, same deck, because coves were all booked. Just another aspect of the Cove Balcony.
