  1. We won't visit the Beach Club until early June, so it may change. However, where did you wait for the tram to pick you up at the ship?
  2. Well, I just read your recent post. You and I were posting at the same time. I am glad you put the ball in her court. I am glad you are still going on the trip. Anything could happen on a cruise, or any where else for that matter. So, glad to know your grandmother is in good hands should your mom decide to go. It is hard to have an aging parent. I hope your vacation is wonderful!
  3. In the past few years, I have had to encounter things I never thought I would. I see things in a different way now. Here is what I would do if I were in your shoes. Honor her feelings and let her know you hear her concerns. You have probably already told her all the reasons she doesn't need to be concerned. Maybe try once more. Then, let her know that she would not be able to get her money refunded should she cancel. Tell her that you will respect her decision. Then, try to be at peace with what she decides.
  4. For my May sailing on Symphony, the menus are listed in the app. I looked up your sailing. According to the app (don't know if it is correct), the main entrees are: Pan Seared Fillet of Sole Chicken Parmesan Braised Beef Short Rib Caribbean Jerk Pork Loin Creamy Wild Mushroom Risotto Roasted Chicken Breast NY Strip Horseradish Crusted Salmon Spaghetti Bolognese
  5. So glad you mentioned this. . . I was a little unsure about not having a sea day on day 7. You are right, day 7 has always been a little sad. We head to Coco Cay Beach Club in June. Now, I am looking forward to it more than ever.
  6. I like this idea, too! Just an FYI, my Dollar Store white board did work on Harmony. My neighbors wrote sweet comments on it throughout the cruise. I put it on the side of the fridge when we got home. The last sweet note is still on it. If you happen to be reading this post Harmony July 14, 2019, Cabin 12610 - Hello and thanks for the messages! Your former neighbor 12612
  7. That does it! Vacation ruined! Just kidding! Seriously, thanks for the post. Good to know because I like to know what to expect on a cruise and this might have surprised me.
  8. On Harmony, I put all my miscellaneous junk (I mean important things) in the top drawer. I now use packing cubes for clothes which fit in drawers or shelves. I even use smaller packing cubes to keep my junk/important things organized.
  9. I bring a disposable drink holder. I use the type from Chick Fil A that can be folded flat. I use it for a coffee, drink, or snack run.
  10. You will love it! We had the same attendant all day, too. I try to avoid crowds when I can. The beach was so peaceful when we were there last summer. I got off the ship as fast as possible and headed over. It took a little while to get there, but it was worth it. I loved it so much, we booked it again for next summer.
  11. Symphony May 30 is also $199! Holy cow! I paid $64.99 and was irritated that I missed $59.99. I was too late pulling the trigger. I am feeling much better now!
  12. This is very true, but the first hour or two is still much better than most of the day. I remember in the not too distant past, the guidebooks would tell readers that not many people show up at opening. And people would respond that since the advice is in a best selling guidebook, surely it would be crowded. And it wasn't for so long. But now. . . I usually arrive 1 hour before opening. I do get very irritated when I get run over by the runners when the park opens. I really wish Disney would figure out a better plan for RD. But I still do it. I've also followed the advice about avoiding EMHs. But that is changing as well. So many changes!!
  13. I found a nice YouTube video that showed the Beach Club. I searched Coco Beach Club Royal Caribbean. I had to scroll down to find it,
  14. Is anyone familiar with this cat out of St. Thomas? I am wondering how crowded the boat may be on a ship sponsored excursion and/or any other input.
  15. Oh boy! I missed the next week part. You should still be able to book FastPasses at MK. I think February is relatively a lower crowd month as long as it is not President's Day week.
