Mandate not really the right word at least in Florida.  They just don't have a lot of room for unvaccinated passengers sailing out of Florida.  Everywhere else its a mandate.

I was under the impression that X (unlike RCCL at the present time) is mandating all their passengers have the jab before boarding.

It has not changed but the suspicion of someone faking their vaccine credentials to get on board is a theory since we don't actually know anything yet.  We may never know anything since it didn't leave port out of the US.

So X is mandating the jab for all passengers, as I had read.   Wonder why the conspiracy theories are flying now, instead of folks admitting that being vaxx is not going to "make you safe" from this virus?  Lots of pearl clutching & disbelief going on now, I see.

When I was working on the Nordic Prince, the only way up to the Viking Crown lounge was via the outside steps.  Spent many hours helping passengers into the lounge.   Always had a great time with that.

I have no memory of that outside staircase!  😂   I know I was up there, though!
I met a waiter in the MDR on our Bermuda cruise in '85 and we kept in touch.  He was from Paris and I ended up flying over to see him on his vacation home in Sept and spent 10 days!  It was marvelous.  Ooh, la la!   😄    Then he came and visited with me for a few days on his way back to the ship.  Sad to say, we lost touch after that.  But that was the happiest cruise memory!

I’m not sure how vaccination status has any bearing on morality?  If I were unvaccinated I might choose to cancel my existing bookings and/or have a different vacation experience in the meantime...I wouldn’t do something that should be illegal like getting a fake vaccination card.  You clearly have been hanging out with the wrong sort of people if you think that is “most” would do. 🙄

    100% spot on!   Great post.

My memory of the Viking Crown Lounge on Nordic Prince was there was an outside staircase in order to get to the Lounge.  If there was an elevator, I was unaware.  I remember the Lounge being very warm; uncomfortably enough that we only made one visit.  Great place for sightseeing, though!

I don't remember the outside stairs on NP.   Now I'm racking my brain thinking about it.  Maybe there was an outside staircase as well as inside stairs?  Or maybe I don't remember right.
    Was NP older/newer than SoN?

Exactly.  Vaccinated cruises aren’t afraid of getting sick.  They are afraid of having their cruise ruined because of an outbreak among unvaccinated cruises.  And angry they will have to deal with restrictions they wouldn’t have to if everyone was vaccinated

And will you be just as afraid and angry if (when) a vaxx cruiser(s) gets covid on your cruise?

  7. Oh yes!   I remember the Viking Crown on all the RCCL ships I've sailed on.  I do admit I like the ones on the older ships better.    1st ship I sailed on was SoN, then SoA and NP.   I was never on the ones that had the outside staircase to the VCL.
I do remember my first cruise on Majesty of the Seas and the glass elevators in the lobby!   I was dumbstruck and thought I had died and gone to heaven!  😁

These tests are not fool proof.  They have high false positive as well as negative rates.   The inventor of the gold standard PCR stated it was never supposed to be used for diagnosing a disease.  So who really knows.  No getting the illness is not a death or even serious illness for most.  We do have immune systems.

100% true!!!!!!!!!!   I like giving my immune system a good workout!!  Got to keep it working!  😄

    LOL…live in fear.

The pandemic is over. And it was never all that big a deal to begin with. It has a mortality rate that is barely worse than normal seasonal flu.

Hope you cancel. Hope every last one of you cancels. More fun for everyone else who most certainly does not need your Karen attitudes on board ever.

This is NOT January of 2020 anymore and doctors now know exactly how to treat people with Wuhan flu. So the mortality rate today is hugely less than it was then. Normies are ready to get back to life, vaccinated or unvaccinated. Only terrified and paranoid neurotics are still worried about this crap.

Herd immunity does NOT depend on everyone getting a vaccination. Herd immunity is a combination of the vaccinated, the previously infected and those with natural immunity. We are there. We have been there for weeks. The infection numbers and death numbers confirm this.

But continue to live in fear. Or in the delusion that you have control over the time and place of your death.

No one here gets out alive. And until it’s over the normies are going to enjoy life now that lockdown idiocy is finally over.

Holy crap!!!!!!!!!!   This has got to be the best reply I've seen here!!!!!!!!!    Chuck, you are rockin' it and totally 100% spot on!!!!!!

For all of you who believe that having COVID gives you natural immunity from getting it again, and that you shouldn't be vaccinated, there is the very public figure of pro golfer Jon Rahm, who just yesterday was in the lead and after coming off the 18th hole was told by officials he had tested positive... FOR THE SECOND TIME.

So much for natural immunity. The first time was November.

So what?  Apparently, he made it thru fine when he had it before......he'll most likely make it thru fine again.    Getting covid is not a death sentence for most people.

At best, unless you're wearing a perfectly fitted 95 mask, the mask won't do much to protect you.

Then watch most people wearing a mask.  Almost all touch it and rearrange it frequently.  Even more when they are talking.  So now the mask may collect who knows what and it's on ones fingers.  Go figure.

    Get vaccinated and enjoy life!
