  1. "Dude! Right in front of you!" "You missed!" "Seriously dude I could have gotten that blindfolded"
  2. With the rules of the game wide open for interpretation, a pod of dolphins got in on the action.
  3. These two birds were on patrol together. All a sudden the one on the right did a dive into the ocean. He must have been hot and wanted to cool off. Turns out he was pretty eager to win the game. Success! He kissed a fish! Wait a minute, he's not playing fair. He's eating the other team! With his tail feathers still draggin in the ocean that fish was done like dinner. Eager to be the best on his team, the bird went back on patrol skimming the ocean.
  4. While the crew vs. guest volleyball game was playing out on deck 11, the bird vs. fish game was playing out in the Pacific Ocean. The object of today's game was for the birds to kiss a fish. Team fish today consisted of the flying fish team. These little guys: Fish win the game when they make it back into the ocean without being kissed by a bird.
  5. The Bird Show was in the Cruise Compass at 2pm... not really, this was a random show put on by the wildlife of the Pacific.
  6. While I was up on deck 12 watching the crew vs. guest volleyball action I noticed some other action down at the water level. So I headed down to the helipad for a better view.
  7. They lowered the water level so you can stand.. Captain Rumen representing team crew. Wait, who is driving the ship?
  8. Chair Hog report Apparently all tne chair hogs have ventured to the aft Windjammer outdoor seating where they play card, dominoes. read a book or snooze during meal times. The pool is setup for volleyball crew vs. guests coming up shortly.
  9. It's Royal. Rarely consistent. I'm sure someone once had the UDP on a longer voyage, or will at some point.
  10. Captain's noon address. 3,543 nm traveled so far. The winds we experienced the other night were a weather phenomenon from the Chivela Pass. I never felt any ship movement but I did hear the cabin groaning in the night from where the walls meet the ceiling and such. Apparently some guests felt a little motion and asked the Captain why. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chivela_Pass "In extreme circumstances during the winter, truly cold, dense, air occasionally flows from the Bay of Campeche in the Gulf of Mexico through the Chivela Pass into the Gulf of Tehuantepec on the Pacific side. These winds can be strong enough to sandblast paint off ships in near-coastal waters." We didn't get those type of extreme winds but the increased wind we had was the same phenomenon as we sailed across the Gulf of Tehuantepec on our way to Huatulco.
  11. Last night at Samba I overheard the guests behind me telling the waiter they don't eat red meat or pork. The bacon wrapped chicken was okay though.
  12. Pretty nice sea day. If a cruiser sees his shadow, how many nights of specialty dining 'till the end of the cruise?
  13. Not consecutive, pick your nights. They didn't enforce a night one requirement on this cruise. Specialy lunches available on an individual basis. You may be able to apply a dining plan visit towards a lunch, I've never tried.
  14. No UDP on long cruises like this. Saw Chops plus one, 3 night, 5 night and 10 night.
  15. Yikes. It looks like the tug was able to slip over to the port side of the bulbous bow. Hope they were okay other than needing to change their shorts. The lock gate is another story. Great example of why there are two gates. I wonder if they closed that side for an inspection.
  16. Just spent an hour on a wifi call fixing what the Air2Sea agent last night did to my booking. 🙃 This mornings wifi call quality was great. Starlink is very inconsistent. Once they finish building the satellite constellation over the next two years it should get better.
