Last night I noticed an airfare drop so I tried to call Air2Sea. The wifi calling experience was pretty bad. I moved to the deck 7 Voom desk area and it was still bad. It took an hour but I got it done but before the call was over the call dropped. Fortunately they were far enough along where my airfare was repriced. Today is final payment for the airfare so a last minute price drop saved me $100 but it was an effort due to the poor internet performance.

Talking with different crew tonight it seems Huatulco was very popular with the crew. Many who had time off went to beach. It's close and convenient. It sounds like they all enjoyed the day.

Samba Grill for dinner. Seventeen of us present. I think the early seating is more popular.

Heading up to deck 12 I was greeted with an amazing sight out the porthole style window. It seems the Sun was following us out of port. The other sun was thinking about setting. With mountains in the distance it was very dramatic and hard to capture the beauty in mere photos. A distant cloud layer had other plans and stole the sun from us.

Time to leave this quaint and beautiful port. I took our departure in from the Colony Club. Backing our we had great views.

The pool tables were resurfaced recently. But it seems the gyro has been disabled.

Yesterday we were at sea. Today TMobile is great in Huatulco.

While I'm here with time on my hands, yesterday I had a 30 minute wifi call with Air2Sea to reprice some flights. I didn't dare do this from my cabin because the wifi is weak and the 2.4GHz misconfigured. So I went to the voom area on deck 7. Here I had better wifi and my call started out great but the Centrum music started, very loud. So I had to step into a guest hallway near the voom desk so I could converse. The call quality wasn't great. Over the 30 minutes there was times it was okay and times we couldn't understand each other. It's probably one of the worst wifi calling experiences I've had on a Royal ship. I stayed connected to wifi at 5GHz on a good 40MHz channel but Starlink wasn't performing consistently over the 30 minutes.

I really enjoyed the excursion and the narration that I haven't posted here was very informative. All aboard is 5:30pm and with the area a quick walk I'm going to change into dry clothes and head back out.

A church is open for all. All beaches are public and open.

The port area of Huatulco is nice without pushy or aggressive vendors trying to sell you something.

As promised, we had company at the pier.

The sail back along the coast was very pleasant.
