When are you going? We are on the 7/16 QV Baltic, also in Queens Grill.

On sea days, I would usually wear the nice chino type pants, or capri's if it is warm. This way, I can go all the way through breakfast up to dinner. If there will be pool involved, after breakfast, I will change into a suit and cover up, and then put the same chinos on again for late afternoon. After all, I am not usually rolling in the mud in the AM LOL. With the luggage costs, I would rather not have to bring so many different pants.

I am going to need vodka and Cointreau with lime and cranberry juice to make Cosmos!

I did the Alaska cruise in July. Depending on how far up you are going, you may need clothing for all 4 seasons. Starting out in Vancouver was warm and sunny. As we moved upwards, it got cooler and wetter. Southern Alaska is somewhat like a rainforest. Misty, cool and cloudy. Farther north, even in July, we needed coats and gloves. Visiting the glacier was very cold and windy. I would think in May, it may be even colder and wetter. Bring layers and at least a small amount of clothing for each season and you should be fine. Also, do not forget proper footwear. When we were walking on the glacier, there was a woman wearing high heel strappy sandals. Her feet were blue!

Don't be sorry! That was great advice for my just over 60 skin.

It truly depends on what day it is. A weekday at 9:00 AM will have a great deal of traffic going into the city. A weekend, not so much. You may wish to wait until a little later, possibly 10:00 AM as the traffic will have eased a bit by then.
-
Now that's a good idea! I will try it and report back.

The only problem I have with all of these great ideas is space. We are packing for 15 days, including a stay in Hamburg before our cruise. As it is, we will need an extra suitcase which is a garment bag. On an international flight, that costs us $100.00 each way. Thank goodness AMEX pays for that. I really have to get all the rest in just two 25" bags, which causes wrinkling no matter what you do. I am surprised that Cunard does not include dry cleaning and laundry in QG like HAL does in their suites. I guess that all of the dress clothes will go out the first day for pressing. We really don't want to spend our vacation time doing that!

Yes. I believe it is $20.00. Perhaps someone who knows better will answer as well.

I am booked on the QV this July for the Baltics. We are in a Q5, rear of the ship. We love that cabin. Did the Fjords in Norway on Koningsdam last year in a rear facing suite. When we return, I will post a review of the cabin and cruise.

Now that looks good! I am looking at Alla Tours also. I see quite a lot of things that I like. I would love to get to the Faberge Museum.

That flat iron idea is great. Almost works like a regular iron I bet. I will be packing that on my next trip!

I am talking about a private tour. That is me, my husband and a guide. That is three times as much as the small group tour. I do think we are going to do it, though. It is really the only tour that matters as we probably won't see St. Petersburg again.
-
Has anyone done a private tour in St. Petersburg? Was it worth the cost, and how did you like it? We are thinking of doing it because we are there on the QV in July, and the city may be quite crowded. We think that perhaps we can get through more things if there are only three of us. Thanks.
-
Well, how much is a latte? I can drink 4 or 5 of them a day, so perhaps it would be a good deal for me.
-
Wow, that sure sounds like my kind of class! The only question I have is who carries you back to the cabin? LOL
-
I have seen posts from people who have brought on a case. Just wait for them to chime in. I am sure they will have all the info you need. Cheery cruising!
-
Perfect! Thank you. I didn't want to buy another one because he needs custom made ones. Short arms! LOL

My husband only has one tuxedo shirt. How long does it take to send it out for laundering? Will it be back within a day to be worn again? We are in Queens Grill, if that makes a difference. Thank you.

A dark jacket with MATCHING PANTS is a suit. With a crisp white shirt and a tie, it fits the Cunard definition of formal night perfectly.

I don't see anything in the dress code that says a jacket and tie on formal nights is not ok. Take a dark colored jacket with several pairs of matching pants, two ties and some white shirts. You will be fine.

Wow, that is great. My cruise has doubled in price from when I booked, so I guess I won't be getting any refunds! LOL

Well, I live steps from LGA, and I can tell you the traffic is quite a mess. The airport is undergoing massive renovations, along with the access roads. Leave what would seem a huge amount of time to get there from the terminal. Vehicle traffic entering LGA is usually backed up onto the Grand Central almost back to the gas station. We have had incidents where people abandoned their taxis and walked the last leg into the airport because the traffic was so bad. Sorry for the news, but knowing what to expect is probably a good thing in this area.

Looks great! We are travelling in Queens Grill July 2019 to the Baltic Capitols. Can't wait. First time on Cunard, so should be a great experience. Thanks for the mini film. Enjoyed it.
