It looks like Royal Caribbean is committed to the Alaska market for another 30 years.
Hopefully we will be getting their ships in Alaska off season for another 30 years.

Spectrum’s return to Shanghai had a pretty cool drone show.

I remember when people used to put red food colour and they had red mouths.

For the last few days my partner has been keen on booking us on a 3 night P&O cruise from Brisbane next month on line with no luck.
Today we were walking past the Captain’s Travel Agent at a Brisbane Shopping Centre and the lady told us P&O is running at very full capacity from Brisbane during Winter. Particularly the short ones.
So maybe Gavin could leave Voyager in Brisbane for Winter 2026.
I would guess Voyager will go to Singapore but wouldn’t it be good to have a ship over winter.

I have certainly never seen any bed bugs on any ship I have been on, and I certainly haven't felt any invisible ones either.
What about invisible monkeys in the middle of the night Mic ?

Short cruises, repetitive itineraries and high prices is now Royal’s MO globally. We all hate it, but it seems to be working.
Short cruises ,short distance and more port days keeps their carbon emissions down

Does anyone have an ideas what is happening with Radiance and Serenede after Sept 2025?
I think someone said Serenade has a few port bookings in the Caribbean but bring a extra ship to Sydney.

HI
My wife and I are thinking of going on the OAS in November. We have a choice whether to pick our own room or not. What are the benefits of both? My wife fears she may get sea-sick.
You might save a couple of bucks but I like to pick a cabin near the lift.
It’s a big ship and it will probably just be floating around off Newcastle for a couple of days . I doubt you will get sick ,they give out seasick tablets at guest service.

Section 30 of the contract:
Australia Booking Conditions EN - Guest Terms and Conditions (royalcaribbean.com)
It looks like @springaussie was correct. I don’t know why my agent said it doesn’t exist.

Royal Oz gives us price drops before final payment.
My agent said that is no more ,it was the cruise with confidence program which has ended. I called RC and they where a bit vague about it and just didn’t give a clear answer.
Their website says it’s only within 3 days of booking, like a cooling off period.
I hope you are right Glen but prices don’t seem to go down anymore, they just go up.

I'm looking at a couple of cruises out of Singapore Dec/Jan. I have heard that HAL skews old but that doesn't bother me so much.
I think HAL will start cutting itineraries also.
Carnival group are a bit behind in addressing the incoming emission laws. They have old ships that just won’t be viable in the near future.
Celebrity Edge will certainly impress and so will the price.

Just off anthem
I asked when singapore Oct to Apr 2025 to 2026 would be released as I'd heard may 10th and nothing .
Was initially told may not have them and ovation had been announced for elsewhere.
After probing and asking to see the other Asia ports ovations last sailing being early October I said oh where does ovation go there then, at that point they smiled and accepted that I knew and said we can't say. Bought the next cruise pay deposit and get some $obc if booked within 2 months and after doing so as we stood up was told they are on the system they kist haven't been told when they will be announced or available
Wasn’t Ovation going to china ?

I didn’t think Shanghai would take off for Royal Caribbean but here’s some Chinese propaganda.
Nice cruise terminal we could do with something like that in Sydney.

I think there’s only Pinnacle ,the key and suites express, the rest of us are with the great unwashed.

We are cruising on Ovation out of Sydney. RCL's policy is that you can bring 12x 17 fl ounce containers of soda onboard per cabin. This is equivalent to 12x 500ml. But can you buy 500ml bottles in Sydney (we can in NZ)?
No 500 ml bottles of soft drink as we call it that I know of. Just 375 ml then it jumps to 600 ml.
They are pretty layed back in Sydney,if you split up you might stretch the the rule.

Did you see what was hanging on the cat's collar? 😝
Me mate asked his dog ,and the cat had a Princess Medallion hanging on its collar.
So I don’t know how credible my source is ?
I’ll try to find out what colour the cats tongue was or if it was forked.

I am a pensioner with not great funds, I know cruises from Sydney don't incur gratuities they are added to the standard fare, my question please is I like to tip the waiters on the ship but cant afford much, would $1 & $2 tips be an insult,? or shouldn't I tip at all ?
Just give your cabin attendant a couple of bucks ,$20-$50 if you think he’s worth it.

Royal's ships 2023/24
in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Posted
I like the comment of a unusual 30 year commitment.
Probably expanding the market and phasing Radiance class out.
But the ships will have to go somewhere in the northern winter.
