It probably won’t help Lelepa but there could be some foreign aid for a decent wharf in Vila. About the best thing they could do is to promote tourism with some aid.

I don’t know if it’s with the new C&A program that started this year or it’s just the Loyalty Ambassador on Ovation but I know a few Diamonds that have been getting it. But you have to ask and the wine is pretty ugly .

There’s a couple of other obscure things. You should get at least 4 bottles of water in your cabin on boarding day. You can get a free bottle of wine per cruise if you ask the Loyalty ambassador. The coffee machine in the diamond lounge is my favourite. You get a one off ,half price glass of wine or beer, so get the most expensive champagne! It’s was suspended but you can get free ship tours through the loyalty ambassador. The diamond vouchers can be used in the restaurants and the coffee shop. On debarking day you get your vouchers.

Beers are $8 ,I found it better to not use the voucher for beer or soft drink.Use it for something more expensive,even if it’s for a friend. The bar tender will explain it to you Neil.

A overnight in cairns is probably one of the best . Im sure I read somewhere that port’s north asked the cruise lines to consider larger ships like Voyager , they said no ,The channel is to narrow with a cross wind.

There does seem to be a lot of evacuations especially to the islands. Quantum and Ovation supposed to have some really good medical teams onboard . Ovation ,I was told has a professor of medicine,a doctor and 3 nurses,you would think they could handle it.

@geoff2802 Do you think Celebrity Edge will be able to dock in Cairns? It’s 306 meters long . I believe RCG said they will only take a ship into Trinity inlet upto 300 meters. I believe Ports north said it’s suitable for ships up to 320 meters. What do you think? I’m thinking about booking it.

A good possibility. But I don’t think 2 ships out of Brisbane would be viable . Sydney ??,if they can get port bookings but what about Auckland as a home port for Anthem?? Auckland is 4 hours less flying time from the U.S . That’s a big thing to cut down that 14 hour killer flight and it could also do the NZ itinerary.

July 2025 it should be having a dry dock from what I can work out. The last available cruise I can see is south Hampton October 2024. That leaves a bit of a hole ? It might do a repo to Asia and do it there.

They do ask you somewhere, I think it’s in the app or on the TV if you what a emailed statement. But I have always got one.

I knew that ,NSW government is pretty over stretched. Thats why I thought Melbourne was a possibility. I was reading an article the other day about Lelepa, it was only third hand but it quoted Royal as saying it will be serviced from Australia and New Zealand ?? I will try to find it but it was a bit vague though.

It does have hydrogen fuel cells? I thought they dropped that. Maybe the rumours of the new Discovery class ,it might have something.

Wasn’t icon supposed to be a hydrogen full cell ? That would be the only practical fuel unless they had a battery pack for entering the fjords.
