  1. It doesn't appear there until it is officially assigned. The bar code trick lets you see it ahead of time.
  2. I didn't book very far out when I had GTY's so mine usually popped up quickly but I would be doing the same thing. It's part of the fun. 😁
  3. Some Wonder prices aren't THAT bad, especially via group rates or when a deal pops up (GGG, random, etc.) Of course, it helps if you live an hour from PC. Are you trying to convince people to not sail Wonder? Should I cancel with my TA when he gets back from vacation? 🤣 Hope the drive went smoothly!
  4. My wife and I eat very little fast food. She gets lots of Chick-Fil-A gift cards as gifts from students (Kindergarten teacher). Every time we use them we make similar comments. Fast food just isn't very cheap for what you get, IMO.
  5. It's such an extremely rare and unlikely occurrence that you shouldn't even be thinking about it.
  6. And that's all that should matter for anyone. Some people are happy paying more for cruises than others. That doesn't make one person right and one person wrong. People spend their money on all types of things. It's their money and their choice. (Just so it's clear, this post wasn't directed at firefly, the quote is just there for inspiration of my point.)
  7. I've only had access to it twice... and my family lived there in June, lol. Best bartender ever (both as a guy and at making drinks) who we got to know really well. Not our normal, frugal cruising routine so we made good use of the perks while we had them.
  8. Yes, the price did go up. My wife and I (no kids) debated the location. Given how far from the ocean the beach daybeds are, I'd think pool also with young kids involved. We went with the beach since we'd rather be looking at the ocean (although it doesn't seem like a great view) and don't plan to spend a lot of time, if any, in the pool.
  9. Oasis had tons for all ages, IMO. The carousel and water slides are more for kids (not that some adults don't like water slides). There are more new/additional kid-friendly additions to Icon class, yes, though I also think adults could have a great time on those as well.
  10. To each his own. If you think that will make you feel special and bring you happiness, go for it! FWIW, I love making use of the lounge for multiple cappuccinos every morning and I do enjoy popping in to check out the snacks most nights... but I don't feel special when I'm in there. I'm very much looking forward to turning D+ after our next cruise but that's just because I will make use of the extra vouchers, internet, BOGO dinners, and possibly the free laundry. I couldn't care less about any status aspect of it.
  11. That's what I head read (possibly from you amongst others) so my wife found another couple going on our FB roll call and we split the taxi there with them.
  12. Ditto. Going there for the 1st time this summer. @kcmo74 Any food favorites?
  13. Sorry to hear that. I’ve never sailed NCL but I’m confident he’ll have a much better experience as far as access to live music goes on Royal.
  14. On the contrary, he's welcome just about anywhere on the ship. Bars onboard aren't like bars on land. There are exceptions, of course, but you'll have no problem taking him to the standard bars where they play live music.
  15. MLS and Apple are doing everything in their power to fix that. Whether or not they're going about it the right way is debatable. I'm all for promoting the sport I love (see my avatar) and this should help MLS in theory... but letting Inter Miami circumvent the salary rules to do so is a joke. Yes, I'm a somewhat biased Orlando City supporter but I'm not alone in my opinion. Just to get back on topic... not sure what this does for Royal but more power to them.
  16. Usually sometime around the 1st of the month prior to your cruise month (so early January).
  17. I was comparing 4V to 4V. It's pretty close. My group rate with benefits is still better but not by a lot. The line graph for the price of this particular cruise looks like the stock market, lol. At one point it was approaching twice the price it is now.
  18. Not much as far as good prices from PC, lol. It was just interesting to me that a Wonder cruise < 100 days out and during what should be a popular month was lower than the original price, that's all. Enjoy your last week. TA's seem to make sense for you if the prices are right.
  19. This is why entertainment is subjective. The lack of plot is what we DIDN'T like. I prefer an actual story of some sort. Different strokes. Glad you enjoyed it!
  20. Blades replaced Ice Games as the scripted show on Allure. That's all. It's the main show now. FWIW, we didn't care for it it in October.
  21. @firefly333 Glad to hear the B2B2B is going well! Haven't been following the forums as closely as usual, been busy with life stuff and I have nothing to look at cruise-wise until the other PC cruises are released. I always just ask my extended family for gift cards for Xmas (I'm boring and frugal so they work me; I don't need t-shirts and socks). I debated asking everyone for RC gift cards. 😁 Not sure if you saw my other post. It's by no means an amazing deal, but my March 2024 Wonder cruise is at the lowest starting price it has ever been... lower than when it was released according to the fruit site that tracks prices. It won't apply to Star obviously but it gives me a little hope that prices may come down over time and/or there may be decent deals closer to sailing (and the GGG sales ofc). Just sharing b/c I know you're not happy with PC right now. Enjoy the final week of the cruise!
  22. Looks like they swapped some sailings from the initial February schedule but that doesn't change anything about what's left to be released at PC unless you think a 4th ship will be home ported there.
