  1. Take a look at any post in any Disney group, especially in the other social platform. The complaints there about people’s behavior are even worse than any I’ve seen here. I don’t know what has happened to people. I agree with both of you about the Cruise Director. Back in June 2002 we took a cruise to Bermuda from NY on Pacific Princess - they brought it to NY for the summer season before they were selling it. The cruise director was the best we’ve ever had. She was involved in everything and was fantastic.
  2. Funny.. I keep saying the exact same thing…..but I find I’m still booking cruises 🤪
  3. I asked for a copy of the compass because I saw him in the hall with a bunch of them and a list. He said that was the list of all the cabins with a guest over 70 and he was told to leave one every day and that’s what he was doing…..we’re not 70 but he gave me one.😁
  4. Our last room steward said they are told to leave paper compass for anyone the age of 70.
  5. I quoted above on this thread on our take on Kitchen vs Table. We love the menu on Gio’s Table on the smaller ships (Radiance class) and we ate there twice so far this year on two different radiance, both times it was great! We also really liked the menu on Gio’s Kitchen (on Odyssey). Although we haven’t been on a ship with this restaurant since April 2022, so we’re not sure if the quality has changed as it has for the MDR since January. We’ll find out in October when we do a B2B Holy Land / TA We’re originally from NY where Italian food is really good, and now live in Florida and the only time we get good Italian food is when we go back there for a visit……although we have found a couple of “ok” pizza places…… so either Gio’s Kitchen or Table is good for us and way better than anything in the MDR….. D+ BOGO is the way to go for us
  6. We’ve only had to sign once or twice. I have no problem bringing more than just my card to the bar.
  7. I feel like you, but we’re most disappointed with the new menu choices themselves as well as the preparation and temperature of the food. Until then we have never eaten in the WJ, so it’s disappointing to us, but not a deal breaker. The loyalty perks are the main reason we are still cruising Royal, plus we’re comfortable with their ships since we know what we’re getting…… but if they reduce the loyalty perks, that will flip it for us and we’ll jump ship quickly.
  8. We’ve been on many long cruises and I’ve never noticed that they changed the sheets at all…..
  9. Ah…that’s why I bring lots of magnets, for showers that still have the dreaded shower curtain that won’t keep the water inside.
  10. Where do I find this on the app? Do I need to be connected to their wifi to use this? thanks
  11. We also always eat at Gios on all the radiance class ships and love the menu.
  12. No, not sure that would work….someone from one of the restaurants comes around looking for people to make reservations, we sign up for the BOGO with them. They also have tables everywhere, like outside WJ. Or you could go directly to the place you want to eat
  13. Also, you don’t have to go to the restaurant that you want the BOGO.. You can sign up anywhere…..we’ve actually done it even while sitting in Schooner having our embarkation drink 😁
  14. We use our BOGO for lunch and we’re ok with the price. I’m not a meat lover - I eat mostly vegetarian at home, so Chops isn’t worth it to us, but we do like Italian and on smaller ships it’s our only choice.
  15. their chicken Parm is very good, reminds me of what we used to get when we lived in NY… and yes we use our BOGO there 😁
  16. As others have said, there’s two different Giovannis on royals ships: Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen is like the average places we would go to for dinner in NY, like on a night after work. Giovanni’s Table is a bit more upscale in their selections with the entrees we would find in better restaurants that we would go to on the weekend. We like the menus in both places, so depending on the ship we’re happy with either 😁
  17. So sorry for the loss of your sister. I’m glad you got it worked out! Enjoy the cruise!
  18. I don’t mind the once a day in hotels, and in fact during Covid we had no service at all in hotel rooms. We liked it. We belong to Disney Vacation Club and no one comes in our room the whole times we stay there. We like that too….. but as the OP said, hotel rooms and places like Disney resorts are much larger than most cabins and I can’t see how a family of 4 can function without twice a day service. Even if it’s just to pull out the sofa bed each night for the children, empty the garbage can and take away the wet towels. I wouldn’t be surprised if some people just start to put the cans and wet towels in the hall to make room in the cabins. the past few cruises since the change our attendant asked if we preferred morning or evening. I liked that we could choose.
  19. On both Serenade and Brilliance they had the equivalent of what we got on the sheet on the wall adjacent to the shore excursion desk area near where they used to have the printouts of the compass on the wall. I just took a picture of it
