Anyone know anything about The Hotel Romanico Palace? This thread is too long to search in my short time frame…TA suggested this one, good price, 4 stars but we need to put down a deposit ASAP. We’ve never been to Rome, was hoping someone here has experienced this hotel. TIA!

No, it’s just http, no S and my browser says it is not secure. It makes me hesitant to give my credit card info. Seems weird in this day and age for a website like this to not be secure. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I sent my request in August and heard from them today, for a trip in September. I am a bit concerned that the website for purchasing the tickets is NOT a secure website. Anyone else notice this or encounter any issues?

It’s been almost 10 years since we sailed on a Royal Caribbean ship. I keep seeing comments about reservations for the onboard shows. Is this something new? We used to just walk into the theater and take a seat or find a seat at the smaller venues, like the comedy shows. Sailed on another line last year and that’s how it worked. Are you required/expected to book a reservation in advance these days on RC?

I believe it needs to be completed before boarding the ship. You can start it but will need your negative Covid test results, administered by Beacon Health/HAL, to complete the process.

There is a section of the app that lists a map with the marine entry points. Locate the Vancouver port and select that. Then in the section where it asks where you will be after entering the country, use this address of the cruise port: 999 Canada Pl, Vancouver, BC V6C 3E1, Canada Hope this helps! I struggled for days to complete the requirement and no one asked to physically see it!

Anyone interested in a photography excursion should check out Denali Photo Guides (denaliphoto.com). We booked the excursion booked thru Holland America and had a great time. Our guide, Eva, was super knowledgeable and personable as she drove my husband and I and another couple around to various photogenic sites and then assisted with set up and exposure tips for the best results. It was definitely worth the money and time spent.

Interesting you should ask about Covid testing. We received an email from HAL telling us we needed documented proof of negative Covid tests upon arrival in Fairbanks. I asked at the HAL desk and was told that corporate sent out the emails but did not set up a system for reviewing or logging results, so they weren’t interested in seeing anything.

We just returned from our Alaskan land/cruise tour yesterday. I highly recommend it! The Westmark Hotels in Fairbanks and Anchorage left a lot to be desired, but the McKinley Chalet was lovely. Just returned from our Alaskan land/cruise tour. No one ever asked to see our VeriFLY. It did help us get onto the ship a bit faster than those without it, as they have a separate line for VeriFLY users. But as more folks complete the process, that line gets longer. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just returned yesterday from an Alaskan land/cruise tour. Struggled to complete the ArriveCAN, but managed to set it up. The ship required we provide the number generated when we received the QR code. No one ever asked for it at the Vancouver airport. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I got that far, but it’s asking for a location where I will be for 14 days after arriving in Canada. It will not allow me to add my home address since it is not in Canada. I’m sure I’m missing something.

Our cruise ends at the cruise terminal in Vancouver, we’re being transferred byHAL to the airport for a flight home to Ohio @ 2:00. We will be spending NO time in Vancouver other than that.

No one that I have talked to has been able to successfully complete ArriveCAN. If you are just transiting from the port to the airport to fly back to the US, how do you complete the section asking where you will be for the next 14 days? It will not take my home address. HELP! We board the bus bound for the ship soon. Thanks!
