  1. I took a passport style photo of my DH and DS against a wall some time ago, and DH did the same for me. I cropped them and now use the same photos as security photos for all our cruises. No need to do a selfie every time we need a security photo for the cruise.
  2. yes, we got it for our then 12 yo kiddo on our Nov 2023 Seascape cruise. We got the "Easy Plus drinks and wifi included" package. Not free, obviously, but the kid's Minor package was tucked on with ours. Otherwise, I think it's expensive on its own. Seascape only had Red bull and Red bull zero sugar in terms of energy drinks. They had real problems with supplies in the buffet bar, sometimes they had regular and sometimes only the zero sugar version. Maybe, other bars were better stocked. Don't know anything about the protein cocktails. Didn't order any. Soft serve is only free for about an hour in the afternoon in the buffet on Seascape. It is supposed to be included in the non-Alcohol/Minor's package, but crew members were very confused about it. I hope it's different on Seashore. 🙂 Otherwise, it's $5 for a cone of soft serve. Ugh. Fancy coffee is included in the Minor's package (latte, cappuccino, americano). They didn't have many different varieties, like Starbucks (not that we ever go there anyway). The cups were tiny. Might as well get a couple while you are at it. If you got it at a non-buffet bar in a to-go cup, they were bigger. Mocktails were all included, I am not sure there was a $ limit, but they are all under $9 anyway. My kid tried a ton of them, and love Miami Vice Zero most of all.
  3. that one is under Bundles (bottom of my previous post). The moment you click on Manage My Cruise, this huge banner will hit you right in the face:
  4. log in click on manage cruise click on web version of the personalizer if doing it on a computer click on personalizer link at the bottom again click on Beverage tab at the top and voila: same for spa, excursions, extras, etc.:
  5. it's a lovely ship. We were on her in 2022, the review is in my signature.
  6. it's really not. I hope you found the correct ship. Enjoy your cruise!
  7. you can do it through a cruise personalizer online and don't have to utilize the Chat function or call Princess.
  8. how's a magnet on a door a safety hazard? I am very partial to gnomes and on our last cruise had a lovely Thanksgiving gnome magnet on the outer door. I've just picked up two spring-themed gnomes from the Dollar store... gonna take the chimes off, of course.
  9. we now use one of the Marshalls/TJMaxx large reusable shopping bag as a hamper. It's easier to hang on a hook if needed or it will stand on its own, unlike a regular trash bag. We also use them as beach bags since they are spacious, light, easy to clean and more or less waterproof.
  10. I did a search of this subforum and found only two references to wifi availability on a beach. One was on Arashi beach (Arashi beach shack), and one at Cocoloco at Eagle beach. However, we were at Cocoloco beach bar last year, and they didn't have wifi at that time. If not on the beach, then close to the port, please?
  11. I thought the beaches and palapas were public, and therefore free and first come first serve.
  12. you should look for that info in the ports of call subforums: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/89-cayman-islands/ https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/67-jamaica/
  13. probably, because everyone keeps pointing out the same thing over and over and over again... 3 pages of the same point.
  14. I don't think they have a soda only package, as I've only seen non-alcohol package for about $26 pppd. We are bringing our own soda on a 7 day cruise (a 12-pack for each person).
  15. that's sad. I hope you get better soon and get to go on your dream vacation!
  16. but was it too late to reschedule the cruise and only incur a change fee? We haven't cruised with X before, so I am not exactly familiar with their rescheduling practices, but I wonder if it was possible to reschedule it, say, by a year or so.
  17. this one doesn't show up as a 3rd/4th free either.... At least the 3rd person is ~1/3 of the price of the first 2.
  18. either I am crazy, or Princess is lying to me.... in the same price summary Princess tells me they applied a 3rd and 4th person free promotion, while simultaneously charging MORE for the 3rd person...
  19. I booked it for my parents. I booked a porthole balcony for us right next to their cabin.
  20. I am sure he'll be fine. I hope you all have fun on your cruise. I would assume that RCI crew would keep their comments to themselves even if any come to their minds. Most kids will hopefully not care one way or another. There may be some comments from adults, but you have probably heard a few over the years, so you know how to handle stray remarks. Cruises are so crowded these days that one barely has time to notice someone's gender.
  21. WHY????? My dad is type 2 and loves cruising. My friend's mom is type 1 and has been cruising for many years. Diabetes doesn't make you unable to cruise - your DH just needs to manage his carb intake better. Veggies for a side instead of carbs and a sugar free or no sugar added dessert, make sure to combine carbs with protein and take his meds (that's if he is type 2). We've never had a problem flying with our glucose testing supplies.
  22. yes. Their prices have gone nuts. This year we are trying Carnival and Celebrity for the first time BECAUSE of RCI's prices.
  23. that's crazy! That is some bizarre IT error for sure. Did you not check the location of these cabins before booking them?
  24. pretty much all of the island stuff is free. a lot more info here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/308-private-islands/ https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/51-royal-caribbean-international/ some of my photos and info: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2930782-oasis-april-2-9-2023-a-wonderful-cruise/page/2/#comment-65236966 https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2816746-a-short-review-of-thanksgiving-2021-harmony-cruise-with-food-pics/page/2/#comment-62242549
