  1. Have just seen your post on this. We had booked Spencer’s land and sea tour but hubby thinks that the speedboat won’t be good for his back. We’ve just rebooked for this one instead as it’s quite attractive with the 35% discount now 😊
  2. I don't know actually as I just cut and pasted it but I feel like I need to look investigate further now 😉
  3. Thank you for the reply. I know that there is a direct flight from Basel to our local airport but Scenic state Zurich. Not sure whether they can change the airport for us though...may be worth asking. The offer that Scenic have at the moment is for another week. I'm not keen on full payment up front but if this is a good bargain (which seems it compared to the other cruises) it's worth booking
  4. Hi We are looking at doing our first River Cruise and the excellent offers with Scenic are pulling us towards choosing them. The choice is between the Danube or the Rhine. 2023! The transfer from the ship back to the airport seems a long way on the Danube option....168km where as the Rhine is less than half that. Obviously that's not a deal breaker in any way but without anything to compare it to, it's pushing me towards the Rhine ...prices are comparible The other option is to leave it to this time next year to book(as this is payment in full upfront) and just go with whatever is available? Day 2 - Budapest Day 3 - Vienna Day 4 - Vienna Day 5 - Dürnstein > Melk Day 6 - Salzburg, Austria or Ceský Krumlov, Czech Republic Day 7 - Regensburg Day 8 - Nuremberg > Munich RHINE CRUISE DETAILS Day 2 - Amsterdam Day 3 - Cologne Day 4 - Koblenz Day 5 - Heidelberg > Rastatt Day 6 - Baden- Baden Day 7 - Kehl > Strasbourg Day 8 - Basel
  5. Does anyone know whether we can go into the Limelight Club on Celebration night without a suit?
  6. That's great, thanks for the reply. We are usually ok in Europe as we get free internet, coming from the UK but US and the Caribbean, we have to rely on free wifi etc
  7. Thank you...was going to ask this question. When the 90 minutes runs out...does it just stop or do they start to charge extra to your room. We've always had streaming included and can't remember how this works?
  8. Us too. waited a week too late as I was 3 points away from Elite and due 5 bonus CC points
  9. I’m sure the new rules should be 15% though 🤷‍♀️
  10. Yes, I’ve managed to do that before with price matches. it just seemed a lot of hassle (call wait times) to call back a third time for the sake of £12. I have sent an enquiry to customer services to see what their take on it is.
  11. I had three quotes today! £1600 for 11 nights….I knew that wasn’t right! argued for half an hour, then got £280 (2 pax 11 nights) called back as the CSA insisted that only 10% savings for existing guests??? And was advised that yes, only 10% but price was £242? who knows!
  12. Have spoken with two members now and they both insist it’s only 10% and 15% is for new bookings only. it worked out at £11 per day, so have just upgraded it at I thought that was reasonable?
  13. So, I am Elite and has just tried to upgrade from classic to premium and have been told that the discount is still only 10%. You only get the 15% if you purchase the premium from the start. Any ideas on this?
  14. Yes, my friend paid her balance last week and it tracked and paid the cashback
  15. I can only copy and paste the email that I was sent, but here you go... Removal of testing for guests on Iona 25 June to 23 July 2022 (inclusive) departures As the health protocols for COVID-19 continue to evolve across the world, P&O Cruises will be changing its policy on Iona to remove the pre-departure testing for all guests. As a result, guests travelling on the following five cruise holidays will no longer need to purchase or take a lateral flow (antigen) test prior to boarding the ship: G220 25 June 2022 G221 2 July 2022 G222 9 July 2022 G223 16 July 2022 G224 23 July 2022 All guests aged 12 years and over are still required to be fully vaccinated* with an approved COVID-19 vaccine a minimum of 14 days prior to travel. For guests aged 16 years and over, if more than 270 days (calculated from the last day of the cruise) have passed since the full completion of a vaccination course, a booster vaccine will also be needed and must be administered a minimum of seven days prior to travel. At this time, a second booster vaccination is not required, however, we strongly recommend all guests to have booster vaccinations at the earliest opportunity, should they be available to them, in order to comply with evolving vaccine policies from the countries we visit. *The definition of ‘fully vaccinated’ is having completed a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination course or single-dose Janssen COVID-19 vaccine (plus a booster if applicable) approved by the MHRA, EMA or WHO. Guests under 12 years of age are exempt from vaccination and pre-travel testing for these cruise holidays. For the moment, the removal of testing is only on the above cruises. Should this be extended, we’ll let guests know as necessary. You can rest assured that the protection of your health and well-being is, as always, very important to us and we still have a number of protocols in place to help you relax and enjoy your holiday. Why are you doing this just on Iona and on these selected cruises? We chose Iona as she is sailing shorter duration cruises on the same itinerary each week. Will you be extending this change in policy to all Iona cruises and all ships? Initially the removal of testing requirement will only be on these five Iona cruises but should this be extended then we will advise guests as necessary. I have bought a test for my cruise, will you reimburse me for the cost? With this change in policy, we are unable to reimburse guests for the cost of any tests purchased. Whilst it is no longer a requirement, you are of course able to use the test for your own peace of mind prior to travel. We can't wait to welcome you on board.
  16. We are sailing with P&O next month. have just been informed that we will no longer need a test to board
  17. As apparently, it can take up to 48 hours to show on a test after you've been in contact with someone. You have to isolate for that length before you can take the test.
  18. That did happen to a couple of people on our cruise 2 weeks ago. They missed 2 out of their 7 night holiday as they had to isolate as a precaution.
  19. The testing isn't a problem but you have to isolate between 24 to 48 hours before you have a result (either way) just because you were sat next to someone in the restaurant as they can't distance the tables at 100% capacity.
  20. Maybe cruising isn't for you at the moment then!
  21. This is fine but if they want to sell at 100% capacity then they need to drop contact tracing and testing! To have to isolate and wait 24-48 hours for a test result is not ideal!
  22. Definitely had Clarins on the Edge last month as I bought some...not sure about EL but I think I saw it too. I spent $500 on the products but sadly not all in one go. When I went on the last day of our cruise to use the last $200, I was told that if I spent over $200 in one transaction, I can claim the tax back. It was very easy to do and I received 24 euros at Rome airport.
  23. With the deposit at only £150pp it would be hard to meet the minimum £1000 spend, so I'm not sure how this would work...a friend of mine is paying her balance this week, so will report back
  24. Thank you...I contacted them via facebook last night and have just received a confirmation that it is only the deposit that I would loose. Didn't expect such a quick answer as when I've emailed them before, it's usually weeks before I receive a reply.
