  1. I have a couple of somewhat related issues relating to NCL Air 2 for 1 package + 2 night pre cruise and 1 night post cruise. We are sailing Breakaway in October 2023 R/T from Rome. I have been told that we cannot upgrade to Business Class nor can we request seating together or we would forfeit the 2 for 1 promo. I was told that after we are actually booked for our flights, whatever special arrangements we make directly with the airline is not a concern to NCL. I was also told that ticketing occurs anywhere from 45 to 60 days before embarkation. My question for experienced NCL Air travelers is how likely do you think it is that we would be able to upgrade to Business Class and/or make sure we are seated together on our flight after being ticketed? The second question is we are booked at Golden Tulip Piram for the post cruise night, but they said I need to be waitlisted at Golden Tulip Piram for rooms for the two day pre-cruise extension.
  2. I'm truly sorry that you couldn't laugh off a response that was clearly meant to be lighthearted in the first place. Possibly this is why you were 'shouting' in your post by using enormous fonts with bold face underlined. In case you aren't aware, such extreme uses are considered as 'shouting' on the web. That was what made me think of Henny Penny. Please take a deep breath and try to enjoy a glass of wine that costs less than $12. 🙂 I didn't mean my post to offend anybody, including you.
  3. Hopefully with the new package YMMV, but it would be wise for a cruiser to check out exactly what they're getting in the digital format. I'm sure there will be some threads after 6/25 that will clear a lot of this up. Let's keep our powder dry until then.
  4. Check carefully what you get with the "unlimited" photos. You only get 3 prints, the rest of the unlimited photos are digital. We got the digital photos with our Renewal of Vows package and the digital photos were in a video slide show. None of the photos could be viewed separately or copied or printed at home.
  5. Princess is throwing a bone to about 100 individual travel agents as a loyalty incentive to the travel agents who booked themselves for a cruise, not the clients of the travel agents.
  6. Again, thanks to all, I got a very quick response from the mail order pharmacy. They indicated once I'm closer to the specific dates of the trip, they'll submit an application for a 'vacation override.' Thanks again!
  7. Thanks to all who have responded. I've taken the advice and I have sent an e-mail to my mail order pharmacy (my insurance requires mail order...) asking if it can be done and if so, how?
  8. When I was younger (under 30 YOA) a Princess cruise would have been very boring for me. Kids don't appreciate good food or the shows, they're looking for excitement at that age, not relaxing sea days with excursions to learn about faraway lands. At this point in my life, Princess fits like well-worn slippers and if I want excitement, there would be other vacations I would choose.
  9. DW & I will be on a 35-day cruise + 5 days next spring. Our medication prescriptions are usually prescribed in 90-day increments. Although 90 days is sufficient certainly, our concern is that our insurance may not want to do some refills before we leave and would only mail refills after we have left for the cruise. We figure we will want to have at least 60-day supply of each med when we leave for the cruise to cover emergencies and (hopefully not) quarantines in foreign nations. We aren't looking to get additional meds, we're just hoping to be able to adjust the timing of our refills before the trip. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you manage it? Thank you.
  10. I find it interesting to read how many people want to get a free upgrade to their drink package. When you purchased the plan, did it include drinks over $12? Of course not. Why do people think they are now entitled to get drinks up to $18 when they didn't pay for the new higher tier beverage package? I understand that some people are claiming to be confused because of the rebranding of the product they purchased. It's very easy to clear up the confusion...when you purchased your beverage package, what terms were being offered at that time? That will most likely be what you will get. 🙄
  11. In the current economy, Padgett has a choice to make: 1. Raise the cruise fares (inflation.) 2. Keep the fares stable and reduce some services (shrinkflation.) Name your poison. I for one would opt for No. 1 as I at least know what I'm getting for my hard-earned money (even if it's a little more.) I think many more people would be angry booking a cruise for about the same cost as pre-pandemic only to find out that the Buffet is included in the fare, but the MDR will have an upcharge for each sitting and the theater will be charging an admission fee. (Maybe watching the shows playing in Princess Theater on your cabin TV could be included in the fare. 🤷‍♂ī¸) I'd rather know up front what I'm buying.
  12. Probably after his 16th drink to celebrate his promotion after the fine job he did of rolling out the MC App. 😅
  13. Your response seems to be a reasonable one, but I don't know of anybody who maxes out the 15 alcoholic drinks per day. I would venture a guess that most never even get to 10 drinks a day. The 15 drink limit on Princess only applies to alcoholic beverages, not any of the included non-alcoholic beverages. Holland America's standard beverage package now includes all non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages in their 15 drink limit. I see people complaining that by the time they get a few bottles of water one or two specialty coffees and a few afternoon mocktails, that doesn't cover many of the more expensive drinks later that same day after some dinner drinks and in the casino. Reducing the limit of drinks to 15 in total would not have much effect on the bottom line and could hurt the bottom line of sales of Princess Plus in the first place. I'm glad to see you're giving thought to this though, at least you made a positive suggestion.
  14. Well... Reading the US newspapers, it appears that the price of everything is going up. It's called inflation and shrinkflation. Princess is not immune to the costs of their purchases going up and that is on top of the payments on loans Carnival Corp had to take out during the forced shutdown. ☚ī¸ We can either stay in the game or go home. I'm sure the Home Office would love to hear alternatives that wouldn't off-put some customers.
  15. It sounds like the OP will need to track the package from Princess. If it's coming by mail, then it will probably be in the thin envelope. I guess if FedEx or UPS, OP may need to ask a friend or relative to pick up the medallion on the delivery date.
  16. On my January cruise, because I was already wearing the medallion on the lanyard and it was visible, on approach to the terminal entrance doors I was immediately directed to the proper lane. The only face to face contact I had during embarkation was at security and the vaccination check point. There was no need to meet somebody at the check-in desk in order to get what would have come in the mail anyway. I was walking onboard in less than 20 minutes. @Katarina5391 If you are referencing the typical mail slot in your front door, it will very easily fit through the mail slot. The medallions now come in a small thin box in a small envelope. It does not come in the same packaging as it was before the Covid break.
  17. I have an older Amazon Fire Tablet. It could download the original Excelsior Pass but it can't get the Pass Plus. A newer tablet has the Pass Plus downloaded and it shows everything on that one. Glad for you that it seems to be resolved. 🙂
  18. That could be due to aging if the Possum Wrangling got replaced by Gerbil Wrangling. 🐭 😄
  19. How did you enter the boosters yourself? Are you talking about the New York Excelsior Pass Plus? I had understood the Health Department needs to do that data entry after your health care provider updates your record in the state vaccination data base. It can take up to three days for Excelsior Pass Plus to show any boosters. The original Excelsior Pass won't show any boosters.
  20. Often, important sporting events are shown on the "Movies Under The Stars" screen on Lido. Wouldn't hurt to ask at Passenger Services if they could show the race there.
  21. Vaccinations won't always appear in the Excelsior Pass Plus. NYS doesn't count vaccinations which were given out of state or from non-NYS Health Department regulated providers. You may have to jump through some hoops to get the booster shot on there.
  22. I did the exact same thing in January with the Excelsior Pass Plus and I had no difficulty at all. My only suggestion is that you print out the pass plus and let them scan that lest you have an issue bringing it up on a phone or tablet. Enjoy your cruise. 🙂
