Was this recently? I booked yesterday and could not book on line and today I called and was told that they only sell to US cruisers. Thanks

No, it was not recently.  We booked this cruise (Silhouette Oct 20, 2022) on Apr 9, 2021 and dealt with a Celebrity vacation planner who recommended the coverage.  Everything is changing and we Canadians are being treated like third world countries.  Nothing to do with your question but I lost my Macy's card because I'm a Canadian and they said it was a gov't regulation now.  The way these people are shutting stores because of a lack of business, you'd think they would welcome Canadians who pay their bills promptly.  Thanks for letting me rant.

I hope you get coverage that pleases you.

What's with the numbering of the posts lately? Two #1's right after one another.............

  2. Skagway is a lovely little town.  Thank you for taking me back there today.  Did you find a quilting project for your Mom?

If you have time when you return to Vancouver and you go to Granville Island Market, there's a quilting store near there called The Cloth Shop that you might enjoy looking through. Also you'd be paying in CDN dollars!  The currency is dropping so fast these days, we're expecting to hear a big thump!

  3. It's not just on E class.  This is offered on our upcoming Silhouette TA as "Inside Access----Behind the Scenes tour"  It is $139.99 as you said, Jelaine, but hey, we're lucky to be offered 10% off....$124.99.  We've seen most of the tour for free in our various sailings.

I would definitely get them to refund the charge since it was not evident there was a charge.

  4. We are happy that Bermuda was dropped on the Silhouette TA also.  I think they are trying to get back some income from the past 2 years (you can't blame them) but to ask people to pay $40 application fee when they were not planning on getting off the ship was a bit greedy in my mind.  The testing required two days before disembarking in Bermuda was a bit much also, considering we all have to be tested before boarding in Southampton.  A nightmare for Celebrity.

In the past we have loved our stops in Bermuda but Lisbon will be a nice change this time.

You wear headphones while boogieing on the dance floor. It's only "silent" if you take 'em off but it's a fun concept

Another time it is not silent is when some moron specifies the place for the dance right above your cabin and it starts at 11PM right when you'd like to sleep.  Sounds like a herd of elephants on speed, above you.  No possibility of sleeping.  We complained to GR but what could they do when it was already in progress?

  6. Your review is great and your English is superb.   I will enjoy following along.  So sorry for the smoke.  We had the worst air quality in the whole world yesterday.

We always like to get a window table in Blu so we line up before the doors open!  I think there are only 5 or 6 and they go fast.  Like Abbydancer, I also recommend Made.  He was our waiter on the 2020 South America cruise and when we cruised to Hawaii earlier this year on the first Eclipse cruise since the shutdown, he recognized us.  He does a great job.  His section was at the banquette, (back of the room) but he may have changed, if he's still on board.

We were in Oslo last month and loved our Norwegian cruise.

  7. So glad we were on the July 25 Norway intensive if the new prices are eye watering!  I was disappointed by the exclusion of Flam and Geirainger, both of which were on the cancelled Celebrity Silhouette Aug 2021.  We paid over $1100 USD for the 2 tours to those places.  Didn't think the Flam excursion was worth it but Geirainer was lovely.
