  1. Yeah those pictures do not look like it’s a fun time. Luckily when we cruise it will be in October and hopefully not as hot. Thanks for your comments.
  2. Is this where Royal sails out of in Los Angeles? We will be sailing for the first time out of LA next year. That does not look very good.
  3. I thought she was talking about Johnny Rockets. We’re you referring to CP 150? Either way we have not experienced delays in CP 150. Matter of fact last two cruises CP 150 was dead
  4. Every time we have eaten there we didn’t have to wait long at all for the food. It is made to order but it always comes out hot. Key is to get there early enough before everyone else decides to have breakfast there.
  5. Yeah it's pretty boring. The crew isn't in it a whole lot. Funny to watch Gary hitting on his designer. Weird that they had Captain Lee in the beginning introduce the crew to the designers but he did not take part. I wonder what he got paid for just one scene and a couple of lines.
  6. So excited you will be Diamond for Bella 2. Bella 1 was our first Diamond cruise. Yes the JR breakfasts are free. But get there early as they tend to get crowded. The scramblers are basically different things all mixed together in a bowl. Usually eggs, sausage, cheese and potatoes.
  7. Hey Below Fans, two things. Did anyone watch that “Project Runway” with the Below Deck cast from all the franchises? The designers had to make new uniforms for them. A couple of them looked pretty good the others were stupid including Mzi’s, Captain Sandy, and Captain Jason. Also I was watching Below Deck Down Under and find that deck hand Harry makes some of the weirdest faces. Several times I thought he reminds me of someone. Then it hit me he looks like the Muppet character “Beaker.”
  8. I bought a bottle of Barrel I think it was batch 91. At first I wasn’t blown away but after some time I grew to like it. It’s basically blended MGP bourbon. You will love the EH Taylor. The single barrel is one of my all time favorite bourbons. I just wish you could get it. I have two and half bottles left. I drink it sparingly because it’s so good I don’t want to run out.
  9. I heard that my syrups should last about a month. Need to taste beginning and then after a month and compare. I’ll research it but I think the AI version could be pretty close. Need to check this out for our April sailing. That looks pretty accurate from other cocktail ms I’ve made. Good score never seen Dad’s Hat before. I like the Barrel series but it’s pretty pricey.
  10. Those are some great recipes. I’m a big fan of Appleton Estate. I have experimented with several recipes. I really like this one. Ultimate Mai Tai Recipe ½ oz Appleton Estate Rare Casks Aged 12 Years ½ oz Smith & Cross Traditional Jamaica Rum ½ oz Plantation OFTD ½ oz Plantation Xaymaca 1 oz Lime Juice ½ oz Orgeat (Latitude 29) ½ oz Orange Curacao (Ferrand Dry Curacao) ¼ oz Demerara Syrup (BG Reynolds) Garnish with mint sprig and spent lime shell The Smith and Cross is a really great funky Jamaican rum. It really changes the complexity of the cocktail. Let me know what you think? Proud of you for making your own syrups. I need to make a Demerara. So far I’ve been using BG Reynolds’s.
  11. As much as talk about cocktails and spirits here on CC I actually only drink on Friday and Saturday nights. On a cruise I too want to have a good time and enjoy the drink package. After I get home from a cruise I’ll detox by not drinking for a couple of weeks at least. I’m a firm believer in moderation if I didn’t my health would be in jeopardy.
  12. Let me know what you think. It’s not the most polished video production and sometimes the audio is not as good as I would like it. Considering they are amateurs documenting their journey, it’s pretty good.
  13. Go here: https://www.youtube.com/@ParlayRevival Start at the beginning so scroll all the way down to the bottom to episode 1. I think it's fascinating.
  14. Sounds like we are both at the same place just watched the episode where he was getting some extra cash on the super yacht. I find the boat repairs really interesting. I'm on episode 46. Looks like we will have plenty to watch as he is on episode 219. I have really enjoyed watching his story.
