  1. I’ve always had a mustache and I remember a few games where it was so cold shooting video I had icicles coming off mine. I’ve already texted our photog at halftime and he said it’s really tough out there.
  2. I wish I was with you. We need all the fans we can get. Say hi to John and Laura for me. Cheers to you Pat!!!!
  3. There is not enough whiskey in the world for free that I would freeze my tail off and be there. I’ll watch from the cozy confines of my couch. The beer is a lot cheaper here too.
  4. I love being retired as normally I would be working that game. I remember shooting video from the sidelines in cold weather like this. It’s not fun at all. Brutal. I will enjoy (hopefully) the game curled up on the couch with my heated blanket, puppies on my lap, and a fire in the fireplace. The only thing ice cold will be the beer in my hand. I think it will be a low scoring affair. As bad as the Chiefs receivers are for holding onto the ball it will be even harder tonight. The Chiefs have been practicing all week outside to prepare for the cold. Tyrek should be fine for the Dolphins as he is used to this weather from his playing days with the Chiefs. I’ve got friends who have season tickets. They are die hards and it will be interesting to hear from them what the conditions are like. No way would I ever go to a game when it’s this cold.
  5. I went through something similar with my first knee replacement. You make progress hit a plateau and then get stuck. My therapist doesn’t seem to be worried. I have been pretty active at home trying to take down Christmas decorations so today I was already tired and sore. The needling surprisingly does not hurt but I could feel some nerves twitching. They said I might be sore tomorrow but in a few days feel some improvement.
  6. We are doing pretty good. Both a therapy at the same time. Linda’s doing great not much pain. I have had some setbacks in my degree of bend. Today was a first as they did dry needling a form of acupuncture to stimulate healing and hopefully loosen up my muscles. I took a pic.
  7. I didn't get all of it on video but they were pretty funny. Last night when it was snowing Charlie was trying to bite snowflakes out of the sky. I wish I would have gotten video of that. It was hysterical.
  8. I’m sure it’s nothing like what my good friends here are getting up in the Northeast but here in Kansas City this is our first big snowfall of the year. I love being retired. Normally I would have gone into the television station at 3am to do early morning live shots out in this stuff. Now I will sit comfortably on my couch and watch the youngsters shivering out in the cold.
  9. Yes that is advice I got for my first knee replacement and I always take a pain med before therapy and Linda will do the same. It does help.
  10. Thank you Andrew. Yep I’m amazed how fast I run out of gas. The only things left are 3 trees, master bedroom garland and stair garland and of course outside. Hope to do a little each day. Love those Hallmark ornaments. We have a bunch too. I am sorry your ornament broke. I had one break and found a replacement on eBay. That’s my motto right now. Thank you.
  11. Sorry if I haven’t been around or kept up. Lots of things going on. Slowly deconstructing Christmas. Having a hernia makes it go a lot slower plus Linda is one armed so she can’t help much. I hope everyone is doing good. And happy cruising to all those currently on ships.
  12. Wish this would have happened before Christmas but it was nice to celebrate the Epiphany with some snow, a warm fire in the fireplace and watching the last of my Christmas movies. Snowfall.mov
  13. We would probably just use Uber. This hotel might be perfect as we need a hotel room for one night after we return on Bella 2 on Wonder and then board the next day for Bella 2.5 on Utopia.
