You understood perfectly.  My cruise manager indicates that I owe the full amount, so nothing has been transferred as FCC.  That's the problem.  I don't need a refund, just apply the FCC.

Try printing your cruise documents and check out your balance there. Mine showed I still owned money for a long time on my cruise manager but when I print out docs its shows my correct balance which is zero and all my obc.

Ok we all have them .

The group tshirtswe purchased for now cancelled cruises. Post them if you want.  I am supposed to be flying to miami right now for our cancelled may carnival horizon cruise. i was thinking that a group face masks might be the style on our next cruise.

I was supposed to be on that sailing too! I'm going to drink my cancelation sorrows away with some margaritas Saturday 🍹

I mean, every cruise line has 'my time dining' and gives you a brochure the night before for the next day, but all the other lines LET you also book whatever you want before sailing. The worse thing to a lot of people would be to have to reschedule your specialty dining reservation you booked 4 months ago because you found out at 8PM the night before it conflicts with the headlining show the following night. Why not offer both like everyone else? I'm not trying to complain, just a bit taken aback.

If you google Horizon funtimes you should be able to get an idea of times.  I eat early so I make my specialty reservations at 6 and we are usually done by the time evening activities are starting.  The hibachi books up quickly so if you're interested make those reservations now. Other than that it's usually not hard to get into a restaurant.  When you get on board the hub app should show you the schedule for the week as well as dinner menus. I'd check those out and then make reservations for the week accordingly.  Hope you enjoy Carnival and have a great cruise!

  4. This is strange. Carnival named Radiance and Legand cruises being canceling until then, nothing about Sunrise. But sure enough if you search Carnivals website nothing is listed for Sunrise until Ocrober. Maybe your TA knows something Carnival hasn't announced yet?  Even tho Carnival wont help you with your booking I would still call and ask someone if this is true.

I agree during pre-Covid that's the case, but now with demand way off they won't have the same demand to sail two ships. It's not going to happen.

While they may reduce the number of ships sailing when crusing starts back up, I doubt that's the case here. People would have been notified and it would be all over here. Also, I can't imagine after spending a fortune on a new ship they would cancel it in favor of a refurb. After the delays in both ships let's just hope they are both finished by then!

We booked the “Mardi Gras“ for Jan 30th out of Port Canaveral, but now when doing a mock booking it doesn’t show any Mardi Gras cruises until March and the Jan. 30th cruise shows the Radiance.

So am I going on the Radiance or Mardi Gras??????

It hasn't changed ships. Multiple ships do the same itinerary all the time.  If your sailing doesn't show up when you search there are no rooms available.

We are booked on the Dream Aug 17, from Galveston TX. No cancellation as yet. What itinerary of yours was cancelled?

I'm interested in this too. We're on Panorama at the beginning of August and haven't heard anything about our cruise. Did they cancel it for something other than Covid?

  8. My May 2nd Horizon ABC (and first time in Havana) was canceled so I rebooked Horizon May 2021. Its gunna be a long wait for my Havana 😪.  Also have a Mardi Gras cruise I booked forever ago which turned into the inaugural sailing.  I sure hope it's done ontime!

You can call and rebook now, just have your booking number for the cancelled cruise. They can process your cancellation and rebook you at the same time.

Oh, before you call go online and book the cruise you want to move to, put it on hold so you don’t have to pay a deposit, they will hold it for 48 hours. Go all the way to payment and there should an option to put it on hold, if not when you back out the option should pop up. That way you can grab the cabin you want and Carnival will take care of the rest when you call, good luck!

Exactly what I did. Placed a hold and then called and had it done right over the phone.

  10. My travel insurance will refund for flights if there is a cdc travel warning level 3 or 4 on the date of travel. Luckily Allegiant changed my flight time so I was able to get a refund. It hit my cc within 5 days. Since I didnt use my insurance they have sent me a form to refund my cost to me (or transfer to a rebooked trip).  I would check my flights daily and if they change the time on you then call and say the new time won't work and you want a refund. Also the DOT is telling airlines they must refund you for canceled flights. So, if your flight was canceled and they only offered a future credit you can call back and tell them you want your money.

I know this is a dumb question but for the life of me I cant find it on my Carnival Account page.  I just recently cancelled and received notification of a credit that is good for 2 years.  I was unclear on the amount and wanted to take a look, just to make sure I did not misunderstand the Carnival rep.

    Thanx

I dont think you can see it anywhere online. It's the amount you paid in cruise fare only.  Not taxes, port fees, grats etc.

I did this today. My reschedule cruise is $30 less. My pvp said it would go back on the original card. I told him I’d take obc but he said it had to be put back on the card.

Mine was just the opposite.  New booking was $15 cheaper and they gave it back as obc.

We figured our cruise to Mexico would be cancelled and we have decided to take the FCC because we paid in gift cards. We are wanting to rebook for February that same itinerary but the cruise is now cheaper than what we paid for our June sailing. If the cruise credit is more than what the new booking is what do we do with the excess credit? Will we be able to use it on the ship, would we lose it, or can the remainder go towards a second booking for even later? Any help would be great. It's too hard to reach agents right now with all this just transpiring.

    Thanks

My rebooking was $15 cheaper and they added it to my obc.
