  1. Thanks to both of you. That makes sense. I appreciate it.
  2. I have purchased the Carnival insurance for my next 2 cruises. I know it includes trip cancellation based on various reasons such as illness and injury, but does it include covid? Do I have to be sick with covid (with a doctor's note) or just test positive with covid? I'm asking about getting my money back versus the FCC they give if you test positive at the last minute.
  3. I get those same responses when looking at Diamond cruises out of San Diego in November. I thought it meant they were sold out.
  4. Testing is just a "snapshot in time". Here are 2 scenarios: 1. Four days prior to the cruise I get infected, but when tested three days prior, there isn't enough of the virus for the antigen test to pick up. I get on the cruise and I'm positive. 2. Three days prior to the cruise I test negative. Two days prior I get infected. I get on the cruise and I'm positive. Just because everyone has a negative test doesn't mean they're really negative. It doesn't make me feel safer.
  5. This is why I want a 1 or 1:30 check in-so I don't have to drag my bags around while eating. Have you done this often? And no one minds? I'd love to get on early and drop my bags. Don't need to spend time in the cabin right away.
  6. I'll be going on the Sunshine in October. If I want to be on the ship around 1 or 1:30 to drop my bags in the cabin what time should I select for check-in? My last Carnival cruise I had FTTF and the one before that I don't remember what we did.
  7. Back in 2019 my Mom and I were all set for our usual balcony cabin. Then she broke her knee. At the last minute we needed to upgrade to a handicapped room. The only room available was a Club Class mini so we took it. Luckily, the upsell was only something like $90 each. I enjoyed it a lot-nice location, room was huge (since it was a handicapped-lots of floor space), the 2 small bottles of wine (we didn't have a drink package so that was nice), and the special area to eat breakfast and dinner. We didn't eat any of the extra meal options but did enjoy not having to wait and could just walk right in. (the line to enter the dining room for breakfast the first day was a mile long!)Having said all that, I would never pay a lot for this service. It was nice, but not necessary. If I can get it again for $100 pp or less I would probably go for it.
  8. What is considered an "open razor"?
