When I was in my Cruise Personalizer I looked under Onboard Services, then Food and Beverage Experiences. They have chips, quacamole, and salsa for $9. Maybe now you have to order in advance?

How about a really dumb question? If this outlet uses a European style plug does it still use 120 voltage? I would assume it does. So I don't need a converter? What happens when the ships are in Europe and most of the customers use 220 voltage appliances? They have to use both a converter and adapter plug to use the North American style outlets?

I hope that's not true. My PVP said if one opens up I will be sent an email with cabin number and cost to upgrade. I have 48 hours to respond or else it goes away. He strongly pointed out that I need to check my email so I don't miss it.

Thanks for everyone's replys. I called my Princess rep yesterday and instead of doing the bidding he put us on a wait list. We are number two so I'm not holding out much hope but you never know. This way if one becomes available we will know the actual cabin and can decide if we want it or not based on location and price.

Right, I understand all that. What I meant was those who book a club class mini suite and pay for it outright. They probably won't be choosing rooms right next to noisy elevators. I'm just thinking for those of us who are now bidding on them that might be all that's left.

I am sailing on the Caribbean Princess and just got the email to bid for upgrades. I have been in a Club Class mini suite before and it was nice, but I wouldn't pay a lot to do it again. Thought I'd try to bid since my travelling companion this time has never done it. There are none available when I look at the current deck plan so I can't tell what might be available. My concern is being next to the glass elevators and hearing ding, ding, ding all night. Am I correct to assume these rooms are the last to be booked and chances are pretty good that's what I'll get?

So you said before we can't share using the fixed price menu? So all this is for one person? I was hoping to share as a pre-dinner snack. (plus I don't eat meat)

I was on the Sunshine last year and we had a medical evacuation. Everyone was on the pool deck watching/taking photos, but when they were ready to lift the person into the helicopter they made everyone go inside.

I think we've decided to order the Continental breakfast from the door hang tag and that will be our wake-up call. Will dump the stuff on the table and then take the tray down to the IC to get other goodies. Then of course hide the tray for future IC trips.

And if so, how is the speed? I may want to stream or download movies but mainly I just want to check my email on my phone using my Norton VPN.

While watching a video on YouTube of someone's vacation on the Caribbean Princess, they showed an area called Mongolian Buffet which looks like you choose all your ingredients and they cook it in a stir fry for you. Kind of like the Mongolian Wok on Carnival ships. Is this an everyday offering at the buffet or only on a certain day? We are not big buffet eaters but would like to try it and don't want to miss it.

For those who saw the presentation, what did they say about Planks and Steamers? I noticed they are listed under the casual dining options but have not been available on the ships since before COVID. Any news of when they are opening up?

Okay so now I would like to have a balcony breakfast with lots of things from the IC. How to go about transporting them up to my cabin though? We would have a couple of coffees and several food items. Are there trays in the buffet that I could take the night before? Or I guess get room service and hide the tray to take with us?

I first had the cinnamon sugar donut when we got the balcony breakfast delivered to our cabin. Then I would find it at the IC pretty much every other day or so, but not every day. Bummer!

I've tried looking for menus for the restaurant inside the Amber Cove port but either can't see them well or they're cut off. Does anyone know if the serve any vegetarian food?

If both people in the cabin have the drink package can one order for both? Or do the orders need to be per person/per medallion?

So now I'm confused. In the past when my mom was Platinum and I wasn't we didn't think I was allowed to go to the lounge so I've never been. Now that I'm Platinum can I bring my cabin mate even if they aren't Platinum or Elite?
