  1. Completely agree. I’ve never felt the need for the premium package. Mostly I would use it for Starbucks, but the coffee is so good in the Haven that’s not needed!
  2. None. Haven guests don’t automatically get a drink package. It’s the same as the rest of the ship. You can get the basic package with Free at Sea or upgrade to the Premium package.
  3. I believe it’s the same category as a regular balcony. Either way, if they’re giving you the option to bid, you are eligible. Good luck!
  4. Thanks. I’m trying to get on an existing sailing, so maybe I will hear something this weekend. 😃
  5. Congratulations. You’re the first one I’ve seen that has gotten a confirmed re-booking. When did you get this? What was your cancelled cruise and which one did you switch to? Maybe there is hope that they will start processing some of these before Monday.
  6. I hear you, We’re in a unique situation in the sense that we knew exactly which sailing we wanted. We had a casino booking and really wanted to go for the New Years cruise, but they wouldn’t let us do that, so we booked the January 13 sailing. This is a chance to get on that cruise and we jumped on it. Anxiously awaiting the verdict. 😂 I feel for everyone who got screwed on this, but for us it could work out very well. If we don’t get on that sailing it’s back to the drawing board.
  7. I have the same question. I’ve heard here and on the Face Place that they will notify people on Monday. I didn’t hear that directly. At the moment I have a case number. It’s very frustrating. But Monday will come quickly.
  8. Thanks. Good to know. Hopefully I was one of the first! I called as soon as the email came in and filled out the form immediately. please keep us posted if you hear anything. Thanks again.
  9. I don’t have experience specifically on these cabins on the Joy, but any Club Balcony I’ve been in only had a shower, no tub. Which is fine with me. But the bathroom is much bigger. You will also get a free bag of laundry and snacks delivered a couple of time. To me, it’s worth at least a minimum bid to upgrade. I don’t think it’s worth it to pay it outright for the room.
  10. Enjoy! We’ll leave the ship in good shape for you!
  11. I can access my account. The cancelled cruise is gone, obviously, but my “Lasting Glow” is still there. We submitted the form to rebook. I don’t see any reference to that on the website. I’d really love to know the status of that request as we’re trying to rebook for an earlier sailing, I guess we have to be patient.
  12. Excellent! I’ve never used it either, but have it scheduled for our sailing. Which ship/sailing are you on? We’re on the Encore on October 8.
  13. Thanks. That’s what I thought. We’ll see what happens. The way I read the email was that on 9/11 the website would let you rebook online or you send the form in now. What I don’t know is if they will process any of the forms prior to the 11th. I suspect the New Years sailing is going to be a popular option and may well sell out and I least wanted to get in the queue and submitted the form. I don't know how they’ll pick who gets it if there are only a limited number of cabins available, Hopefully it’s first come, first served. This was also an incredible deal for us and was our first choice, but the cost of that sailing put us off and we booked for two weeks later (now cancelled.)
  14. This is the sailing we’re trying for. Did you get an actual booking confirmation or are they still looking into it? I submitted the form and got an email back with a case number saying they received it and will get back to us within seven days. That’s not a booking.
  15. Sorry if I wasn’t clear. The statement needs to be less than 90 days old. Even a recent purchase confirmation will work. They just want something recent so they’re reasonably sure you still hold it when you apply for the benefit. So you should be good. 😃
  16. There’s not a big difference. Platinum is the big step. After that the increases in perks are incremental.
  17. Thanks for the review. We’ve been in the Haven on the Joy twice and absolutely loved it as well! Did on in the Breakaway Haven as well, but much preferred the Joy. (Not that it wasn’t great, but the Joy was better. 😃). We’re trying the Haven on the Epic in December. Can’t wait! Welcome to the addicts club!
  18. Do you have a drink package? If so, there is no corkage fee. If you don’t have a drink package, there is a corkage fee of $15 a bottle.
  19. Do you have a drink package? If so, there is no corkage fee. You can bring as many bottles as you want onboard and bring it directly to your room.
  20. I’ve been on longer sailings as Platinum. I’ve always just written “Platinum” on the laundry slip. I’ve done multiple loads and have never been charged. Just ask your steward for an additional bag. YMMV.
  21. We’ve used it twice - once for domestic and ice internationally. Be prepared for inconvenient connections. The worst was a short flight to and from NYC. Despite there being flights every hour, they put us on a 6 AM flight there and a 10PM flight home. We flew in a day early. We were not able to change the outbound flight but we’re able to fly home standby on an earlier flight. As others have noted, ALWAYS fly in at least a day early. You never know what will happen with flights and you need a cushion in case the flight is delayed or cancelled. Use the savings on the airfare for a hotel the night before and explore the debarkation city.
  22. Yup. Me too. I’ve even gotten it on “comped” cruises from CAS. I’ve never heard of anyone being denied as long as they have the proof of ownership. The only glitch I’ve had was providing a brokerage statement dated more than 90 days prior to the date of submission of the request. I had just used the same redacted statement I used for a previous crUise. All I had to do was print and redact a current statement and email it back. The OBC posted within 24 hours.
  23. https://maketraveleasier.com/PortValet Easy, peasy. 😃
  24. We booked it in advance. I’ve heard that sometimes the service “sells out” and is not available to sign up onboard.
  25. I’d happily take another 10% off a Haven cabin, but my guy told me he couldn’t do anything for me for the Haven. I think it depends on your play and maybe your affiliations. I regularly get “free” insides and 20% of any room I want except for the Haven. Just reporting my experience. I’ve been booking through CAS for several years, even though I’m not a heavy gambler.
