  1. My mother and I were in this suite for a very special birthday on a 7-day cruise in 2019, and we heard no noise from anywhere. It was a wonderful experience.
  2. I don't know about cruises, since we haven't been on one since the before times, but I'm seeing them everywhere else...concerts, outdoor/garden weddings, even just walking around outdoor malls. So it seems like they actually are having a moment right now.
  3. How is the arch support? I have really high arches, and that is my one "rule". I love the way these look!
  4. Favorite so far: Asian Panorama Second favorite so far: Scandinavian Want to try: Great Britain #1 Wish they would create: Greek
  5. I have a cream-colored pashmina - a largish one - that I always take on warm weather cruises. It looks fine with all my summer clothes, and I need it in the main dining rooms, the theaters, etc. almost all the time. I got mine several years ago on Amazon, I think.
  6. In early 2019, my mom and I were in an aft ES suite on Deck 3, for a short (7-night) cruise on the Sky. We had water from the infiniti pool splashing - really more like flowing at times - onto our balcony 3 or 4 different times. The crew was great about mopping up, etc., but it happened once while we were actually on the balcony and we both got a bit wet. FWIW, this didn't seem to be related to ship movement, as it happened at least once while we were docked. This has been quite some time ago by this point, of course, so they may have figured out how to resolve it.
  7. So true! It makes me want you to just keep writing and posting about every day life once you're back. Will miss the humor and the commentary!
  8. Thanks for that recommendation! Will check it out. And, I learned that lesson, too. When I find something I like, I tend to buy two, just in case.
  9. I laughed when I saw that...gotta love autocorrect!
  10. thanks for that additional detail, Jack. It's what I feared/assumed, but I appreciate the confirmation. Is it worse post-Covid, or about the same as it always was? (We generally travel on another line that has included wifi as part of the fare, and the connectivity is amazing, even in really remote places, so I'm spoiled. Again, only using it for email and texting, no social media or pictures.)
  11. That is a very good point!
  12. Very helpful review, as well as Q&A. Thanks so much! A QM2 crossing is a bucket list trip for us, and the only thing holding me back - other than Covid - has been the wifi issue. I don't need wifi to upload photos or post on any type of social media, but with elderly parents, we need the ability to check in via email or text a couple of times a day. How bad is connectivity these days? I know you couldn't post your review while you were sailing, which suggests that it really is still pretty bad. Any detail much appreciated.
  13. Got it! Yes, I like these a lot. Thanks for taking going to the trouble to add the link.
  14. I just meant the particular pair you have that worked both for walking and in the dining rooms. I like Clark's - I also find them really comfortable - but was curious as to the specific style you have.
  15. You might try contacting Steve Dasseos at TripInsuranceStore.com. He's an expert at explaining trip insurance coverage options in plain language, there are no fees involved, and in my experience, he - or any of his team, really - have been more than happy to answer questions, and to keep answering them until I actually understand.
  16. Picture of the Clark's, by any chance?
  17. So good to see BOTH OF YOU in these pictures! I've enjoyed every minute of your blog, and hope you'll find time to continue telling us about your adventures for the next 11 days.
