  1. Orient north of the Club O beach would be the best french-side beach for you, in my opinion. Lots of options.
  2. If your primary objective is spending day at Orient Beach, I recommend using taxis. The total taxi costs for 2 will be less cost than a rental car, taxis are easier, and you can drink what you want. Getting a taxi to and from Orient Beach is very easy.
  3. There is no current "unrest" which would interfere with your ability to get a taxi to and from Orient (or other french-side places) without any problem. Could something come up on the day you are in port? Yes, it is possible. The odds of a cruise ship tourist being affected by "unrest" on any particular port of call day is very very small.
  4. I think Seagrape Tours is your best bet. https://seagrapetours.com/
  5. Curious about your plan to use day pass at Secrets. Did you try calling Secrets first to inquire about day pass availability and cost direct? I definitely would be interested in reading your review if you go and are willing to report on your experience. At about $200 per person for two (including round trip taxi) it is pretty pricey but maybe you will find it worth it given all inclusive food and drinks at beautiful spot.
  6. There is umbrella rental available on Kim Sha. I would think you could rent an umbrella in addition to what you get on an excursion (if not including umbrella) but cannot be sure. You could just get a taxi to Kim Sha (or other beaches that I might prefer) and rent what you want from vendors there.
  7. Of those two, I would choose Eagle because you are dealing more directly with provider.
  8. Having just cruised on AMAMagna from Budapest to Vilshofen (June 12 to 19) with pre-cruise in Budapest and post-cruise in Prague, I do not think that you can do better than AMAMagna for a Danube river cruise. The double wide size of Magna makes for a fantastic ship and AMA did a really good job with excursions and guides for our week. I have some issues with mobility and the AMA "gentle walker tours" were perfect for us - I could not keep up with "regular" walkers on those cobblestone, uneven, up and down paths in the towns and cities along the Danube. I can wholeheartedly recommend Magna over the others for a Danube cruise.
  9. I believe it still is an issue for closest suites. We were on June 12 to 19 in 317. A couple in 303 said that they could hear noise from lounge, but it apparently did not bother them that much. Edited to add that Magna is really great ship!
  10. I do not know. I suggest calling them to ask.
  11. We have been to Divi Little Bay several times post-Covid - most recently in February 2022. I do not remember any problem with "shell pieces" when entering water. On eastern side of beach - left side looking out at water - there are small stones that bother some more than others - that is part of beach we usually are using. On other side of beach - west of pier - there may be some stones/shells but the entry is pretty easy for most people - most feel no need for water shoes. The main reason for water shoes or flip-flops for some is how hot the sand can get. I think more people are bothered by heat of sand than by stones or shells at entry.
