was never my intention to sew in my cabin. but until Celebrity advises this is PROHIBITED.. (and they've not as yet).. I am still researching. Last thing I want to do is cause any problems. So just thinking it over .. pros/cons.

no plans to sew in cabin. looking for public space or a meeting room. I'm on Deck 8 of the Silhouette ... just in case you need to move a floor or so. lol

Agree. I think even if I find out I can...... my concern is disturbing others. A rubber mat is great and could easily fit in a suitcase.

I am seeing some 'quilting' cruises .. I just need to find out if there are any public spaces or rooms that would allow on this cruise. Last thing I want to do is cause a noisy nuisance.

haha.. I could make some decent cash. But I wonder about taxes. Think there is an 'at sea' tax rate. You know the government is gonna want their share.

I'm hoping to find some public space where I won't pester anyone with the noise. Would not do this if I have to stay in cabin. No fun in that. hahah. Where does your mom live. Maybe she wants to be friends. lol

Yep... don't want to be relegated to my cabin but certainly don't want to offend anyone either.

I would definitely have pieces pre-cut. I have a small vintage featherweight in a case that I can easily have as carry on. I will bring some knitting but am still investigating this.

I'm going to call the line and see. I sure don't want to sit in my cabin and sew. I don't need to iron seams. I'd just be very careful with making sure they are turned the right direction and iron at home. Just some quilt tops only.

Just booked a 13 day TA. Really looking forward to the sea days and relaxing. I like to sew and have started quilting. It is so relaxing and I can just picture myself sitting by a window and puttering away on the sea days. I'll call and ask but does anyone know? I know about irons and steamers .. but don't think I've ever seen anyone ask this. I understand also that all areas outside of the cabin have 220 so I'd have to make sure (if I can) I have the right adapter so I don't blow it up.

We are cruising. I'll bet prices are significantly higher now than 4 years ago though. Different world post covid.

I will check them too but as I recall they are very expensive.

We are going to Norway for a 7 day cruise in May on RCI. I have sailed primarily with Royal with an occasional Princess. I did sail MSC in the middle east. Sadly it was an older ship and I didn't like it, but know the newer ships offer some great amenities. So I'm more looking for personal experiences, I don't care the line. Just would prefer not to do Norway again, but seem something new.. I am doing my homework in checking, but again like to hear what the people think.

We are going to Norway in May with RCI. My husband really would like to do Iceland either later this year or next. We have NO CLUE about which line to take, when to go, how long a trip. Preferable 7-9 days with perhaps one or two before and after. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We just booked on RCL for 8/10/24. Have no clue about Norway but husband thought he'd like to go so I didn't give him any time to change his mind and booked it. lol Thanks for the tip and so many who've said this is a great excursion.

I hope this is ok to ask. Some on our cruise are looking at additional people to join them in October on this day tour of Taormina, Castelmola. It sound very nice for a full day. Many reviews on Trip Advisor (if I'm looking at the right company).. Any input from those that have used this company would be much appreciated.
