Good question, but we are in Kentucky so no direct flights. We have to hub in Dallas, Chicago, Philly.. a few others and we either have a 40 min. layover or 4-6 hrs. Getting back to KY, there is not a flight from Vancouver that gets us back to Nashville till about midnight and then 2 more hrs home. Could stay over in Vancouver and take an early am flight, but that's another hotel night and they are PRICEY in Vancouver, So a fair question, but the 3 hr bus trip after a direct flight and being able to delete 2-3 nights hotel as well as doggy sitter.. much better for us. The Royal bus is 3 hrs.

It is much less costly and time saving for us to fly into Seattle from Kentucky. Our cruise is mid Sept out of Vancouver, BC. A local travel agent suggested checking with RC regarding the shuttle bus from Seattle airport directly to the cruise port. On hold for an hour... lol. So thought I'd reach out to see if anyone had details. Also looking online at transport services but they are generic and not RCI. Thanks much.

Thanks so much for the great info. We've been to Vancouver a couple of times ages ago, so sightseeing is not a necessity this trip. Getting a bit older and hubby frustrates a bit quicker nowadays.. lol. So looking for simplicity. Don't mind a smaller, older hotel but dragging luggage up more than a flight might be challenging. Don't mind grabbing a taxi or Uber to get to/from places, but really hate to spend $350 per night for such a quick stay in a hotel. Understand the nature of the beast now tho.. I did check the Holiday Inn Express and it's 260CAN but then it's at the airport and you'd suggest not? If you are allowed to make recommendations I would so appreciate it.

Flying mid Sept for Alaska cruise. Flights are so much less (and better times to get back home on Monday)... so we thought we'd come in 1 day early and stay Sunday evening. Are there hotels that can provide shuttle service to/from the airport and cruise port? Or Uber? Happy for any suggestions. Thanks much.

We are doing a cruise that departs Rome on 10/30. Myself and 2 adult dtrs. Suggestions on where to stay where we can all have a bed. Don't mind sharing a queen but no one wants the sofa bed. lol

We are taking a cruise out of Abu Dhabi but will be flying in a few days early. Many of us have those little plastic containers for medications. Do we need to bring the original bottles rather than these containers?

The increase some of us will be seeing (if it's about $50) is taxes. Has nothing to do with the fare... and in the initial cancelation letter we received... it is so stated. Bummer. But at least I got an answer. I did say.......if I had paid the balance from the get go then what. He said you would've received an invoice for the tax increase. 'sigh'.........

Still on hold but now looking at my Alaska trip for 9/23... it also shows an increase of $47.82. I do appreciate the opportunity to be on the Brilliance for this one... but not paying up for their decision to switch the ships.

I had booked an interior GTY so I would not be assigned a cabin till way later on. But this new pricing some are speaking about prompted me to check. I currently have a balance (as of a 6/12/22 invoice) of $600.58. In manage my cruise it is showing $667.32. I'm on the phone with RCI now. I have 3 other cruises scheduled. I love this itinerary ... but again the Enchantment is a step down from the Brilliance and I won't be happy with a fare increase. Let's see what she says when she returns from checking.

I too was scheduled on the Brilliance for this trip, but was on Enchantment for a Sept 17, 2023 Alaska cruise. So they've been switched. I can't really complain as both reservations show in their system. So it really didn't matter to me. I did an interior guarantee for both so I've not lost anything really. I've been on Brilliance before. I did Symphony on one of it's first Med cruises and the ship was amazing. But it's the ports I cared about ... so I'm just so happy it's not canceled as I couldn't find anything else I wanted to substitute.

Although nothing on the website I was able to speak with a rep. She had to check the alerts and did find the information. The Brilliance and Enchantment are switching. So we'll now take Brilliance to Alaska. Both these itineraries for Alaska and the Med were ones I so wanted to do as I've done both but not these ports... So far I'm still happy!. I did get an additional $50 OBC but they might do some repricing so maybe there will be an additional drop.

Grrr... We are booked on Enchantment for Alaska in Sept 2023. So now that will be canceled. Calling now.

Just checked RCI site and they now have the Brilliance scheduled for Western Caribbean 12/2/2023 through April 2024.
