I would love to have a new Sovereign! It was our first cruise in 1993.

That is to be expected with an empty lifeboat.
Besides it proves that they automatically right themselves, which is important for safety.
In the video that I have seen, it is firmly upside down and steady. Did it right itself later?

You can bring a hub that will hold USBs or more plugs, but it cannot have a surge protector.

The current sailing shows the old/current menu - app doesn't seem to have the menu loaded for the next sailing.
I have the menu for the 1/6 sailing. It is the old one.

I'm envious, loved that ship.
If you see Marsha (bartender) tell her hello from Janis and David from the October T/A. She is absolutely great as is the whole staff. Have a great two weeks!!!
Which bar? We'll look for her.

Is there any update on this - how it happened?

Isn't this basically every military move?
It is - but she got it fixed, it went viral, she made the news, and got a call from DC from the main office.

We always travel with air tags in our luggage.
Our son flew from LAX to Japan. They left his bag in LAX. He contacted the airline and gave them information where his bag was, from his air tag. He received it less than 5 days later. They work!
A friend had a military move from one post to another. Their household belongings didn't arrive, and the contract mover kept prevaricating. Their airtags located the boxes and they were able to get delivery.

Having an airtag saved our bacon last spring. We were getting the cruise line's shuttle to the airport, and on the bus we noticed that our suitcase was still at the hotel. Disaster averted.

I believe that is called profiling; and is frowned upon
No. 🙂 They know who won big in the casino, who bought really expensive watches, things like that.

Where was that? All I see is pax walking all their luggage off and right out the door after facial recognition in PC.
And most people do, but the CBP people know who they are looking for.

Our worst experience was last summer on a Baltic cruise - lots of Europeans. The two boys in the cabin next to us had parents down the hall somewhere. They would be loud about 1:15 when they came in from curfew, we'd bang on the wall, they'd be quiet. No big deal. Until the 5th night, when they deciding running up and down the hall banging on doors yelling 'housekeeping!' in their Spanish accent was just hilarious. I was getting ready to go out and talk to them when I saw an man walking toward their room. I asked he if was their father, and he said no, was I related to them? I said no, but that one is their room. He knocked, hard, and proceeded to yell at them in French for a good 10 minutes. It was highly amusing. They were not a problem after that.

It's really bad sparkling wine, so be sure to get the mimosa instead. 🙂
The captain and top officers come out, tell you the stats for your voyage: how many passengers, how many C&A members, including how many diamond, diamond+, and pinnacles are on board. The top points people get recognized, as well as any new pinnacles or those reaching a milestone number of points.
They will give you updates about their ship, or RCI's plans, or new ships and itineraries.
On Voyager last summer, the captain started something new by bringing out regular crew members being recognized for achievement or longevity. A couple of them definitely had a deer in the headlights look about them. One was a butcher who had been with RCI for 10 years. I don't know if any other ship does this, but it was nice.

So....did CBP find anything? And they were released, with nothing taken, and we not told why, is that correct?

What government entity is still mandating this?
I would imagine the government of the country the ship is sailing to.

Waiters LOVE well-mannered kids who are easy to please. The table next to us last voyage had a lovely little girl. One night she was given an entire bowl of strawberries with whipped cream by a smiling waiter. 🙂

Your passport is enough.
I print out copies of my set sail because I like to hold it in my hand, one less thing to worry about.

We are 15 days out from a cruise on Jewel that has 4 sea day. There is still nothing in the cruise planner for any sea day activities. Is this normal?

I have run into people I know from home on cruises three different times.
It's always weird to have the elevator open and see someone you know.....but in the wrong place. 🙂

I don't put recyclables in the trash - I leave them on the counter in the bathroom.

Oh my gosh, I forgot about the skeet shooting. The FIL learned to loft his golf shot high, to catch the wind, instead of going for distance on his drive. He won all the time. 🙂
