I know it is not QA but on QE in QG we found the temp to be perfect and it is something we often have issue with.

Thanks bluemarble. We are on the hunt for info on the QM2 Tas in May so guess we will have to wait a little longer for planning that aspect of our trip.

Thanks jaypo63. 🙂 Couldn't agree more. When things went pair shaped for us, he stepped in, took charge and made sure we were looked after with style & grace and without embarrassment. Agree he could be slightly intimidating to some, but when it comes down to it he is everything Cunard should be proud of.

In a time of great emotional turmoil for my husband and I on one evening, Ico could not have kinder or more discreet when called upon. The epitome of service in our humble opinion.

Depends on class booked. If in QG stay there.....if in Britannia then book The Verandah.

Recent travel on QE in a Q4, unless you are very very very very very close friends or family, this will be a challenge. For two (a couple or friends) great but you still need to have the intimacy between you to do the cabin shuffle. For three, get ready to want to pitch someone overboard.

You would probably be best to buy both the soft drink & the hot drink packages.....it works out cheaper than the premium non-alcoholic package. At under $30 a day, it won't be hard to make the package economical. For example, if you drink 6 or more glasses of soft drinks/juice etc and your wife drinks 6 or more hot drinks (or a mix of hot drinks and soft drinks) then you will come out ahead once you factor in the 15% service charge for a la carte ordering.

Do QM2 & Oceania leave from different ports?

It apparently became the Wagner hotel post covid but is now closed pending indefinite renovations.Would love to hear any other pre cruise NY hotels.

Hello to all, Does anyone know of any companies that will rent ONE WAY a mobility scooter out of NY but allow return to Southampton? We are continuing travel and won't be returning to the USA but only need the scooter on the cruise. Thanks in advance.

You won't feel like Nigel No Friends whether you are on a 2 top or an 8 top in QG (or presumably PG) based on my recent experience. My husband has various health issues and on some occasions I would be dining alone (by choice) at our assigned table. Not only did our table neighbours invite me to join them but the Maitre D offered to accomodate me at a larger table for the evening that had extra space if that was my preference. Either way it is up to you how social you want to be but you will not be looked down on if you prefer your own company at meal times.

Why no Gnocchi?

Make friends with your Maitre D, Assistant Maitre D, Waiter, Assistant Waiter & Sommelier and you will never want for a thing if you ask. Just remember they are not mind readers!! They are lovely hard working professionals that like us all appreciate a hello, a thank you and a how are you when you speak to them. They are there to serve you but they are not servants. Ask for any specialty meals with as much notice as you can. Remember the Grills concierge can also be a very helpful person to assist you in your needs during your cruise.

We found the Grills Lounge Concierge to be most helpful in particular with replenishing bottles in our cabin. They simply filled out the slip and past it along to the butler on your behalf.

The mind boggles and the imagination runs wild...... 🙂

Short answer is no there is no difference other than the cabin itself. 🙂
