  1. That's funny; I've preferred AMS since I had an experience like that at CDG (Paris) - baggage handlers were on strike or something. Seems to be not uncommon in all of western Europe. The one time I was in Italy, we were delayed half a day to one stop because the railroads went on strike.
  2. I'm on board Eurodam, which left Seattle about 15 minutes after you guys but passed while in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. I was wondering why Crown Princess was going so slowly; sorry to hear about the issues. Sunday sure was rough! I was in my room all afternoon, and I never used to get seasick.
  3. Unfortunately no; our arrival time was changed from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. We're just going to hang around downtown for a couple hours instead.
  4. I didn't really look into it, but there were definitely kayaking excursions offered at ISP; have you looked into these or already have plans there?
  5. I'm on the same itinerary; ports are Juneau, Glacier Bay day with ISP in the evening, Sitka, Ketchikan, and Victoria. Three of mine were cancelled - Misty Fjords cruise in Ketchikan and both Craigdarroch Castle and then Butchart Gardens in Victoria (the former was several weeks in advance, as the castle wouldn't be open evenings at all this season). We're fortunate that our highest priority excursions (dogsledding in Juneau and whale watching in Icy Strait) were still operating. I'd certainly be disappointed if all of mine had been cancelled.
  6. Agreed; that's the reason I switched to the Seattle roundtrip itinerary from my original Vancouver to Whittier one-way. Once the restrictions end, we'll come back.
  7. Here on Eurodam out of Seattle, masks have been recommended in the dining venues but not required anywhere, including in the terminal during embarkation. All the crew that I've seen have been wearing them.
  8. I'm on the Eurodam out of Seattle now, and if this is typical, I'd go with Vancouver - these are the roughest seas I've ever experienced!
  9. I thought a 7-night cruise just had one Gala/“dressy" evening?
  10. Wow, that's double what I paid on mine ($350 extra for a 7-day Alaska cruise total, not per person).
