Given that the hotels near exits 8 and 8A are less than an hour's drive to Cape Liberty, IMO it doesn't make much sense to stay there. At that point you might just as well continue on to the Courtyard in Elizabeth if that's your preferred hotel. I drive between the DC suburbs and my home (which is near NJ Turnpike exit 8) all the time with just one brief rest/refreshment stop on I 95 in either DE or MD, but wouldn't have any difficulty continuing another 40-45 minutes to Elizabeth. In the end it wouldn't make a great deal of difference whether you stay near exit 8 or in Elizabeth.

 

Staying in Langhorne, PA as one poster suggested, doesn't seem to make any sense because at no point should you be driving through PA or the Langhorne area. That would be going well out of your way and unnecessarily taking you through the Philadelphia area.

We turn D+ on this cruise and it will be our last hurrah before she leaves us as her Home Port...I'll miss our yearly on Summit but very excited to become D+ on the ship we have the most nights on![/font']

Honestly though their call centers need work to! I was on hold for 2 hours tonight, which isn't what I'm upset about. What I'm upset about was when I got someone on the phone, it took them half an hour to fix my problem and then another HOUR to give me advice on my cruise and try and convince me to purchase a drink package and specialty dinning package :0 No wonder there is such a long hold time. The "cruise specialists" are more interested in chatting you up and trying to sell you something then moving along and getting to the next customer. Has anyone else had this issue!?

Thats one experience I never had...they have never tried to sell me anything..

According to my TA, the RCI site for professionals just got remodeled, and is even worse (very slow, full of bugs) than their public site now. I don't have to deal with that directly, but my TA now has to deal with the RCI tech issues on my behalf. I feel bad for her, but I guess, since she is getting paid for her trouble, it isn't all that bad.

Actually, both the consumer site and the TA site were both upgraded, changed.

If you call on St Thomas, I would confidently recommend Trident Jewels and Time. You will find service, quality and unique time pieces. Mom and Pop owned.

Will be interesting to hear how Legend is doing with her new Southern Caribbean location and itineraries. We are on the Legend Jan.3, 2014. Seems odd to type 2014. ;)

Nice to wake up to some great posts and wonderful pictures! I noticed the absence of Escargot and see the continuing Bay Scallop gratin. Must be a lot easier for RC to purchase them in some parts of the world, but not others..

I push myself out of bed and go to the theatre for the ‘Love and Marriage’ gameshow. I’m glad that I do as I’ve not laughed so much for a while. Cuddy holds the auditions for the participants and Drew runs the questions and answers sessions. It doesn’t matter how often I see this show it is utterly delightful in its simplicity. A couple from the roll call win…. Great fun. Tonight is the last time the clocks will change. End of week one.

We had 2 bottles left over and just left them in the cabin. Then again, they werent pricey wines, we're more vodka drinkers. But at $5.00 a bottle on beringers we just left them.
