  1. My second ever cruise was Serenade Southern Caribbean out of San Juan, a 7 nighter with the first 6 busy port days and the last day a sea day. This was 6 months after our first cruise on the practically brand new Liberty where we had 3 sea days. We loved Liberty so much we couldn't wait to get on our second cruise & had heard wonderful things about the Serenade - all the glass, the views, etc. Like you guys, we were a bit underwhelmed. For the first 6 days, we were off the ship most of the days and by the time we got back, showered, dressed and ate dinner, it was dark. So much for the view out all the windows! Barely had time to appreciate the pool until the last day. I wish they had the sea day up front or maybe in the middle of the cruise. We loved the cruise, one of our favorites. Sat at a 8 top table and instantly hit it off with the 3 other couples. Hung out with them most of the cruise, did excursions with them, traded emails & FB, etc. So the people made the cruise but we barely remember the ship. Other than the Centrum being packed. Always said we would try it again but maybe on an Alaskan cruise. Hasn't happened yet. Like you guys, Freedom and Oasis seem to be our co-favorites for the reasons you mentioned. Q-class is pretty nice too.
  2. Good eye. Remind me to never stand next to you when using the urinal. πŸ˜„πŸ˜‰
  3. I wouldn't be able to go with that cat staring at me. I'm shy 🀭
  4. From Royal: In order to enhance your Cruise Experience, we are now offering the Royal Catheter & Bladder system (RCBS). No more wasting time going to the bathroom, never have to leave the pool, theater or line at the Windjammer or stumble out of bed in the middle of the night. The RCBS is offered complimentary to D/D+/Pin members, a $5.95 add-on the The Key and a $12.95 pp/pd to all others. Look for the next WOW sales which will offer 2 RCBS for the low price of $26 pp/pd.
  5. Gotta be careful with wind direction to avoid blow back. A friend told me.
  6. I use the shower next to the pools. 😁 i understand everyone does it.
  7. I don't think there is any legal or agreed upon definition of what a "craft beer" is. I guess it's open to interpretation, like porn, "Can't define it but I I know it when I see it". For what it's worth, the Beer Association somewhat broad definition of craft beer is: * small - less than 6 million barrels of beer annually. * independent - Less than 25 percent of the craft brewery is owned or controlled (or equivalent economic interest) by a beverage alcohol industry member that is not itself a craft brewer. * has a Independent Certified Seal of approval from the Beer Association. https://www.craftbeer.com/breweries/what-is-a-craft-brewery Should be noted that the Beer Association is an governing body and lobbying organization of small interdependent brewers and not everyone agrees with their definition. It you feel like taking a deep dive: https://beerconnoisseur.com/articles/what-craft-beer
  8. I knew what you meant, Lenny. Like you, I'd try to get as much out of a cruise as possible. Stay up late & get up, ear...., well, at a reasonable hour. Of course, the reasonable hour got later & later as the cruise went on. Funny, never went to bed any earlier. Love your attitude and zest for life, which you obviously have not lost. Certain people can learn a lesson from you. πŸ‘
  9. All you'll really need to know is to make sure the "hooker" gets paid, or there will be a "scrum" with someone that's "packing". (has a gun hidden). πŸ˜‰
  10. I love Gouda cheese so I will! I'll need to find a substitute for blue cheese, it's one of the few cheeses I don't like.
  11. I'm going to need a nap after that "nap". πŸ˜‡
  12. That's my issue as well. Being a night owl, I'll sleep in sometimes. What's crazy though is that the few times I do make the MDR for breakfast, there is always a wait to get in and a long line of people trudging in as they are trying to close. Maybe they need more staff to handle the crowd and transition to lunch? Otherwise, it's a combination of Windjammer, 1 day of MDR (if lucky) and when available: Park Cafe/270, Solarium Bistro and Johnny Rockets. And treat ourselves to room service once per cruise.
  13. No, at least not yet. We attempted to go one day last week but both of us had hectic days & were running late & were both starving. So the choice became go to the movies hungry or go out to dinner. We choose dinner. Which was the right choice. The pub we went to had something called the 25/75 Blended Burger. It's a burger with the bacon and cheese mixed INTO the burger meat, hence the name - 75% ground beef & 25% bacon/cheese mix. ** Mind Blown **. But wait - it's topped with even MORE bacon and cheese. Food coma followed. Yummy goodness. Sorry, no pictures.
  14. About 45 minutes after the casino closes & 30 minutes after Sorrento’s closes.
  15. Great news Lenny. Unfortunately, I'll be taking a road trip later this week & will miss the game. I did attend several in person a few years ago. It's great fun to watch those guys out on the field, enjoying themselves & goofing around. Makes for a long day though.
  16. No worries, if you are watching the pennies, the dollars take care of themselves. Supposedly Ben Franklin said that. There also is "Penny wise, pound foolish" but I like Ben's quote better,
