  1. My step-daughter, who lived in Texas for the past 5 years and moved back to NY to stay with me "for a bit" last December would like to move to the east coast of Florida by winter. Sure, the warm temps and much lower cost of living are all well and good but I think it's the fact several of her single gal pals are living it up on the beaches of Ft. Lauderdale that's the draw. My take? It'll be nice to have some place to stay for free pre- and post- cruise. 😁 Thank you. I wasn't the one that asked but same step-daughter actually asked me today if I'd go see that movie with her. Which means, none of her friends wanted to go or have already seen it. 😆 But I'm told I should see the Despicable Me movies first. All 3 + Minions. I guess I know what I'm doing with my Saturday night! LOL
  2. How do you even begin to eat/drink that? I'd need a lobster bib, otherwise I would be wearing half of it.
  3. That remind me, my TSOD has the simple caption: "I'm just going to nod and pretend I'm listening". Same thought as your twitter post. 😄
  4. Not sure if it's the original but I've had them in Geneva & Watkins Glen NY so you don't even have to drive all the way to Buffalo. They were really tasty, better than RCL's Kummelweck
  5. The only difference is honey stung chicken was only served the 1st day. Never understood why. I guess they wanted to make the WJ even more crowded on embarkation day? 😒
  6. No worries, I've done it plenty of times.
  7. Just slip the concierge a $10 or $20 "entry fee". 😁 If successful, make sure to brag, um, I mean encourage, uh, share your success story here on CC. It'll bring joy to so many people here. People love to learn undiscovered tips and tricks. 🤣
  8. I believe the OP was looking for an inexpensive way😉. Even if the D / D+ / P pay for the wedding, there are other indirect costs. 😄
  9. Rule #1 of @Biker19: "Any Thread Will Eventually Become A Tipping Thread".
  10. I think @Jerseygirl1416 & @reallyitsmema gave perfect answers. The quality can be inconsistent but when it's good, it's really good. I've ruin my dinner appetite by having 2 or 3 as a late afternoon "snack". LOL. And when it's not good, well, as you can see from some some of the more passionate responses, it's really not good. Perhaps I am remembering things differently but when Park Cafe was first introduced on Oasis, they were more quality conscience - slicing the meet thinly and discarding the beef when they reached the fatty, grisly part. Now it seems like they try to "stretch" the beef and use every last slice. When I see they are at the end of the beef, I'll wait until a fresh one comes out before ordering. Best thing is, it's free so if you don't like it, discard & go back for another. Or try later in the day or different day. Come back and let us know what you think after your cruise.
  11. That's the old Bahama Paradise Cruise Lines ship that has been "rebranded" as Margariteville. By "rebranded", I mean new paint job on the hull of an ancient ship to change the name. LOL. Has anybody here every sailed on this line? My impression was that it's 2 night weekend getaway booze cruise. Nothing wrong with that, if that is what you are looking for. I wonder if by changing their name to Margaritaville, they are trying to change their image.
  12. The most funny and ironic thing about the post you guys are replying to is that the poster lives in Ohio and a quick google search of Ohio+covid revealed about a dozen articles in about 3 seconds. 😅 They should spend more time reading local news and less new about LA, NYC, Seattle, etc. 😁
  13. Lol. Hopefully it'll do the same to the woodland critters that are treating your garden like it's a Windjammer buffet
  14. Saul Goodman as in "It's All Good Man". LOL Reminds me, I've been so busy watching NetFlix, Prime and catching up on YellowStone on Peacock, I need to check my DVR. Pretty sure I have at least a dozen episodes of Better Call Saul & 20+ episodes of The Walking Dead. DVR is at 85% full.
  15. Me too! Love a good lazy river! Should you ever go to Las Vegas, MGM Grand has one of the best and longest. At least they used to. Vegas changes so much, it's hard to keep up with it. It gets crowded so best to float with a tube or noodles. 🙂 The law firm of Dewey, Cheetum and Howe does excellent work. 👌 😅
  16. Try Repels-All, if you don't mind spraying your plants. Makes the plant smell undesirable to various rodents & other vegetable stealing animals. I've watched squirrels, chipmunks & groundhogs walk right on by some tasty looking vegetable plants. They say it's safe for humans & biodegradable. After the initial application, there is a strong garlicky smell for awhile.
  17. $2.75. They also have weekly and monthly unlimited ride tickets available but much like Royal Drink Package, you need to do the math to see if it's worth it. Typically at least 2 or 3 times in and out of the subway every day during the time period to breakeven.
  18. All of this Queens talk has me thinking of a few friends that I had who livied in Forest Hills, right off Queens Blvd, once know as "The Blvd of Death" due to the high number of pedestrian fatalities when crossing the street. We'd park the car at someones apartment and then have to cross the 127 lanes (sarcasm) that made up the boulevard to get to Austin Street which was a mini restaurant row with a variety of trendy places to eat. Since I always drove there, sometime we'd drive to a great German place called 'Zum Stammtisch' or a Italian place called "Park Side". I don't think either was in Forest Hills - Corona maybe? - but I'm not familiar enough to know where the different neighborhoods begin and end. Allegedly, ParkSide was a favorite place for one of New York's "connected" families, if you know what I mean. Eventually lost touch with them all as they moved away but now I have the urge to visit. The restaurants, that is. 😉
  19. Could you two please ✋️. As someone who also has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor, I found out a long time ago my incredibly witty and creative "jokes" sometimes do not translate well into the written word on internet forums. 😁. Using a smiling or smirking emoji helps but sometimes the sarcasm gets lost when you can't see a persons facial expression or hear the tone of their voice. For the record, its safe to assume I'm usually being sarcastic.🙂
