  1. Good post, but perhaps you should have added the link where the OP could find out about various ports in Europe. Europe Cruises Q&A: Find Tips & Recommendations - Cruise Critic Message Board Forums
  2. Wow, I found standing in front of the Acropolis about the most awe inspiring thing I've ever done.
  3. That is what I read on the site for the Amsterdam card. Is that true? Also, it seems you no longer get a card, but have to download it to your smartphone. What if you do not have one of them?
  4. Thanks, I truly hope it is completed by August 15th.
  5. I nominate this for post of the year, though I would have shown Keith instead as IMHO it is his guitar riff that makes this song iconic.
  6. Yes, I realize that. Our TA was thinking of the requirement for Australia and that you would need it to fly there before the cruise. I pointed out to him that we were flying to London where it was not required, but would be required on the cruise. Then it became moot as they postponed it once again.
  7. Barcelona is also a fabulous choice. The Gaudi architecture alone makes it a worthwhile place, and of course there is more. It may not be Rome or London, but it is also a worthwhile city to visit.
  8. Before the date was extended to 2024, we thought this would apply to us for our Prima cruise form London (Southampton) to Iceland including the Netherlands, Belgium (which has now been cancelled due to low tides), and Norway. I called our TA and he thought it would be taken care of with the airfare as that its how it is presently done with Australia.. I then noted we would be flying to the UK which is not part of the EU. He said he'd have to think about that.
  9. While Amsterdam may be closing their cruise port sometime in the future, in the immediate future, next month, our Prima cruise is actually docking there 2 days instead of 1 as they have cancelled the port of Zeebrugge for low tides.
  10. You can join the roll call for our sailing. Norwegian Prima 11-Day Northern Europe from London to Reykjavik August 6, 2023 - August 17, 2023 - Page 10 - Norwegian Prima Roll Calls - Cruise Critic Community
  11. No, the e-mail they sent said that it would go to onboard credit. And the rep said the same thing. She had to go to the resolutions department to get it to go to refund by making it me cancelling the excursion rather than NCL cancelling because the port was being skipped.
  12. My online account never shows a pending credit, only pending charges. The credit shows up when it is posted. Sometimes, but not always, I do get an e-mail before the credit shows up that I have a credit coming.
  13. That should be better prices sometimes, and not on all products.
  14. Yesterday, I ordered a Fodors Norway from our library's interlibrary loan. So there are guidebooks out there.
  15. Red their policy. It is quoted in post #24. A shorex cancelled prior to the cruise will COME BACK TO THE CREDIT CARD. That seems to be pretty plain English. It does NOT say it will be converted to OBC. And to make it even worse, the rep (though I think in error) told me when I asked if it would be refundable or not refundable OBC, non-refundable.
  16. As always, thank you for sharing your knowledge.
  17. No amount was ever mentioned until they processed our credit card chargeback. I do believe there was some original confusion from the rep as she said it was non-refundable OBC given as compensation.
  18. I read about that long line, quite possibly from you. The rep did say it was NON refundable OBC when I asked, but I think she was wrong.
  19. I do not need to call again. I got it refunded to my card. What they did was cancel the excursion since it was within the time allowed to cancel and have it refunded. The rep had to go through the resolution department to get that done. The rep at first basically said that the cruise contract allowed them to do anything they wanted. I replied that my contract said that this could be my last ever NCL cruise.
  20. No, they were giving OBC because I had paid them for an excursion for DW and myself, And if course not going there, they could no longer provide the excursion.
  21. No, they say the ship's lifeboats are not capable of being used as tenders.
