Thanks. I did figure if the Rumors show was a regular part of the act, that would of course remain the same. But, I did wonder about the other shows, or even if Rumors was always a scheduled show. I wonder if they always tell the same goofy prom stories.

We really enjoyed the band at Syd Norman's Pour House on our recent Prima cruise. I see they have Syd Norman's on a few more NCL ships. My question is is there a play list that all the bands that play Syd Norman's use or does each group decide what songs they play? Or maybe is it some combination which includes some songs but gives them the freedom to choose others?

I basically wore tee shirts in the main dining room and buffet with no problem.

Princess Excursion: Monet’s Garden - advice please

Yes, we were lucky to find it at Versailles. And I do believe that they keep the elevators so hidden so that they can make use of them for those who truly need it as opposed to those just too lazy to climb the stairs. -
There are definitely instructions posted not to flush anything down the toilet other than toilet paper.

Interesting, thanks for that.

We were affected by having 3 ships in Corfu when there were 2 docks. The HAL ship we were on had to tender.

I was wondering after reading many of the previous posts what happened if you do not have a smartphone. Thanks for letting me know it is not necessary.

I hope bored, but ALERT.

Extremely small. And as was said before, open to everybody.

Princess Excursion: Monet’s Garden - advice please

I cannot imagine a trip with a broken ankle. I was still using a walking boot for the Paris/Amsterdam trip. Another site we visited in Paris was the Palace at Versailles. DW started climbing a very steep and very crowded staircase. I yelled at her that I could not do that and would fall and hurt someone. An attendant then said "Monsieur, elevator." There were very well hidden elevators. In fact, we could not find the one going back down even though we had come up in it. We had to ask, and I am sure if it were not for my walking boot, we would not have been told where it was. -
It seemed to me that on the Prima there was a real lifeguard, not a pool attendant pretending to be one. I do agree of course that parents should be responsible for their children. Not watching a child who cannot swim is totally irresponsible.

Glad that they added lifeguards. Too bad it had to take drownings for them to make that sensible step.

The trip was actually 3 days in Paris and then 3 days in Amsterdam. We landed in Paris on our wedding anniversary which is in mid-August. I had broken my ankle during Memorial Day Weekend. When we told the surgeon of our travel plans, he made a face and said if the recovery worked out perfectly, we could do that. BTW, the only time we have ever had a bag not show up from an airline was the short flight from Paris to Amsterdam, one bag there, one missing. And that was the only flight on that trip, that we were charged for baggage. (I did make a claim with my credit card company for the fee for 1 bag and had it refunded as I do not think the airline contested it.) -
OK, thanks, still new to us. We last sailed any cruise ship in 2018, and NCL in 2012. (We did a land trip to Peru in 2019. We did have a cruise booked for 2020, but Covid made it go away. We weren't ready in 2021, and we actually at first thought our 2023 cruise would be in 2022 as we at first didn't notice the ship was still being built when we got the brochure with its itinerary. I'm not sure we were even ready in 2022..)

We were on the NCL Prima earlier this month, and there was a lifeguard stationed at their main pool. This was new to us, and I did post in the NCL forum asking if this was unique to this ship. Someone posted the following link: Norwegian Cruise Line To Add Lifeguards To Fleet (ncl.com) I wondered if any other line was doing the same. And, LOL, the first rule posted by the pool was still no lifeguard. And remember, the Prima sailed first last year, well after the link says that NCL started this new policy re: lifeguards.

I do hope she gets to see this as it is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Can't help with your question as we saw this when we were in Paris on a land trip. (Rather romantic to land in Paris on your wedding anniversary.) Funny story while there, DW wanted to buy a tee shirt and they were all either large, extra large, or children's sizes, none of which would have fit her. We somehow found one small, but when she went to pay for it, the cashier said this will never fit you. She then took it out of its wrapper and held it up to her, and the size was perfect. -
Thank you. Good move on their part.

Thanks, we just had never seen one before on a ship. They did identify themselves as lifeguards and sat on a lifeguard chair. They did seem to focus on the pool when it was occupied.

We were on the Prima earlier this month, and there was a lifeguard stationed at the main pool on the 17th deck. This was despite the first rule listed in the pool rules was there was no lifeguard. Is having a lifeguard unique to the Prima (and possibly sister ship Viva) or is this now the common practice on NCL ships. We had never seen a lifeguard on a cruise ship on any of our previous cruises.

If the "original" is lost, you can get a copy from whatever jurisdiction originally produced it. That is what we needed to do when DW applied for a passport and discovered that her Mother had sent her the hospital copy and thrown out the real birth certificate.
