  1. @Georgia_Peaches when you receive the disembarkation information can you note the time of self assist walk off? I know from past cruises on E-Class ships it starts very early and when we disembark the Ascent on January 21 we have a 9:45am flight from FLL. Thanks!
  2. This has been discussed quite often and to be honest it all boils down to personal choice and preference. We were new to Retreat Class in Dec. 2021 on the Apex and LOVED the Retreat Lounge. We liked the brightness, light colors and beautiful large picture windows. And YES, we LIKED the Private Airport Lounge - like atmosphere. Almost exactly two months later in Feb. 2022 we were on the Reflection in Retreat Class for the second time ever. With Apex's Retreat Lounge fresh in mind we were very disappointed in the dark and old fashioned look of Michael's Club. The furniture was packed to the gills with no thought to room design but just to have enough seating. Yes the big bar is nice but as a couple we NEVER sit AT a bar but enjoy private seating away from any bar, so having a big bar in Michaels' Club was immaterial for us. I missed the mini food counter and it was only because the wonderful bartender Cranston would have a cheese plate reserved for me since at 6:30 - 6::45 Michael's Club no longer serves any snacks/tidbits that I like to have with my glass of wine before dinner at 7:30. Having the micro buffet/snack counter in the new Retreat Lounges allow me to have my evening Aperitivo without issue. Photos of both the Retreat Lounge on the Apex and Michaels Club on the Reflection.
  3. So if you leave the room dividers open, which is what most people do otherwise you'll have no view your cabin is 243 sq ft.
  4. Remember in an IV cabin there's no such thing as a veranda, it's just a part of the cabin. That's the whole point of an IV cabin in that when you don't use the room dividers the part that's called the veranda is just the end of your cabin making it much more spacious.
  5. Frist of all thank you for spending time writing up your trip report. It seems fleetwide that Celebrity has de-emphasized onboard photographers. I assume there was analytics done regarding the cost/benefit of this service and a reduction of personnel was favored.
  6. I was wondering where you were going with that since the loungers weren't initially in view on my computer but Freddy was. It's literally the same print and colors!
  7. Unlike your previous cabin, the SS has the original full length mirror behind the desk, so I'm assuming that the desk slides into the dresser as it does on the previous ships? If so I wonder why the other cabins have a different setup?
  8. A couple of points. As someone that enjoys using thermal suites and hot rooms I do find the E-Class thermal suites a bit disappointing. There are two steam rooms with one supposedly a hamman but it's hotter than what a real hamman is supposed to be and I usually use the adjacent steam room. The crystal room is useless. I'm fine with the infrared sauna. I don't find the hanging chairs comfortable and never see anyone use them. The heated tile loungers are nice. They need non-heated loungers within the thermal suite. There's not enough non heated seating besides a continuous black bench along one of the walls and the aforementioned hanging basket chairs. And FLEETWIDE Celebrity thermal suites need a water feature (hot tub/whirlpool/spa) within the thermal suite (the thaliasotherapy pool in the Solarium on M-Class ships doesn't count). Lastly quite honestly if you give me either a complementary steam and/or sauna room I'll be happy but the E-Class ships don't have either in the spa locker rooms, unlike the M or S Class ships (even the revolutionized M-Class ships with the downsized spa/gym locker rooms still have a free sauna albeit a tiny one). So if you enjoy using one or both types of hot rooms on an E-Class ship you'll have to pay for the thermal suite or do without.
  9. Correct. The thermal suite on E-Class ships aren't called Persian Gardens but Sea Thermal Suite.
  10. E-Class saunas are not the traditional Swedish/Finnish saunas that heat up the room but are instead Infrared saunas that work totally different. With infrared saunas you have to sit directly in front of one of the infrared heaters so that the heat radiates all over your back and thus warms up your whole body. By design they aren't meant to heat up the room itself. https://thatcherpools.com/infrared-sauna-vs-a-traditional-sauna-which-is-best-for-you/#:~:text=A traditional sauna heats the,up the room around you.
  11. As I said in my original post there are two Inside cabin classes and this is the larger of the two.The bathroom is also larger.
  12. They will be the same as on the Beyond, so just to Google or Youtube searches for Celebrity Beyond inside Cabins. There are two classes of Inside cabins on the Edge Class ships, one slightly larger than the other with a little more room and a larger bathroom.
  13. People need a multi USB port hub which aren't power strips. People are looking for the WRONG SOLUTIONS. These are what people should bring, not a power strip
  14. All you need is a multi USB port hub. This is not a power strip.
  15. First off M-Class ships, whether revolutionized or not, have a free sauna in the locker rooms that are available to everyone. The difference between renovated and unrenovated is the size of both the locker room itself and the saunas. In the renovated M-Class ships the Spa/gym locker rooms have been cut in half. Basically they took the original women's locker room, cut it in half and inserted the men's locker room. The new saunas are about 1/4 the size of the original. The old men's locker room now has cabins. Secondly I'm surprised you like the saunas on the E-Class since they aren't traditional Swedish/Finnish saunas but infrared saunas. When used correctly they are definitely hot but the room itself isn't hot. You must sit right in front of one of the infrared heaters so that the heat radiates all along your back and thus warms your whole body. If you don't sit right in front of one of the heaters the sauna room itself isn't that hot since that's not how this technology works.
  16. 1st: You look lovely! 2nd: 1st noticed change in stateroom; mirror behind desk is no longer full length but stops at desk height. Does the desk still slide into the dresser?
  17. May I ask what cut of beef you had at FC?
  18. I'm glad you had a great meal at the steakhouse on the Apex. We were on the Apex in July and our steaks weren't as good as when we sailed Carnival in September. But my husband had a nice birthday cake from them. We prefer ribeye cuts and we didn't feel the Fine Cut ribeye had enough flavor. Love the Beyond though.
  19. First thank you for your quick and concise review. We sailed Beyond last year October. Unfortunately I do find Fine Cut Steakhouse to only be an OK experience and TBH we have better meals in Carnival's steakhouse.
  20. Oh man was it ever! With the wind it was raining sideways when we were there last year in June. Did a little walking, checked out all the shops in the Warehouse district, had lunch, and with the rain we called it a day and went back to the ship. As we were walking back a Segway tour was just getting on it's way with OLD people (over 60) Crazy stupid!!! Of course as we sailed away the rains clouds left and we had an amazing sunset!
